After being away from Imperial College for quite some time, they soon arrived.

This time, the car did not stop at the college parking garage.

Instead, it went straight down North House Lane.

“Brother, aren’t… aren’t you going to drop me off at my dorm first?” Baili Xia looked at Mu Xiaoyao who was driving, with surprise in her eyes.

That was clearly the road to his apartment, while the dorm road was next door.

Mu Xiaoyao glanced at her lightly, then focused on driving again.

The speed of the car slowly decreased as they arrived at the open-air parking lot of the apartment yard.

“Brother…”

“I thought I made it very clear just now.” Mu Xiaoyao parked the car well, then got out.

He walked to the passenger side, opened the car door, and looked at Baili Xia inside the car.

“I want to sleep by your side every night, so we should be living under the same roof.”

“Brother…” She still wanted to say something, but seeing his determined look, she could only swallow her words.

Beside her Brother and Uncle, she truly didn’t have much say.

… Eventually, she followed Mu Xiaoyao back to the apartment.

After throwing a few books to Baili Xia, Mu Xiaoyao started concentrating on working on the computer.

Baili Xia took the books and looked at them, they were all hacking guides and programming-related.

She unconsciously rolled her eyes at Mu Xiaoyao, did this Brother think everyone was like him?

How many girls would like to read these kinds of books?

“Brother, don’t you have any novels or the like?”

Mu Xiaoyao’s fingers paused for a moment, he turned his head to look at her, seeming to be searching his memory.

After a while, he said, “Yes, wait.”

He stood up, walked to the bookshelf, flipped through it, found a book, and threw it to Baili Xia again.

“The Road to Becoming an IT Expert”…

Baili Xia was speechless, she waved her hand helplessly, letting Mu Xiaoyao continue his work.

“What kind of books do you think I would have here?”

Mu Xiaoyao said lightly, it was not hard to see the disdain on his face.

Baili Xia tugged at her lips, barely squeezing out a fake smile.

“This one is nice… I won’t disturb your work.”

With that, she turned around and walked toward the bedroom.

Mu Xiaoyao watched her back, unexpectedly feeling a trace of guilt.

The plan was to accompany her, but suddenly there was urgent work that needed his attention.

“If you’re really bored, just take a nap, you are tired too.”

“Oh.” Baili Xia responded lightly.

Without turning her head, she entered the bedroom and closed the door behind her.

Baili Xia lay on the bed, flipping through “The Road to Becoming an IT Expert”.

The content was indeed dull, or rather, completely failed to interest her.

Does this even qualify as a novel?

Can a novel without any romance be considered a novel?

Reading such a boring book, Baili Xia’s eyelids grew heavier.

Finally, the book slipped from her hand and fell to the ground as her eyes fully closed.

Mu Xiaoyao heard something fall and immediately got up, rushing into the bedroom.

In his sight was a perfect sleeping beauty’s scene.

He smiled lightly, walked to the bed, picked up the book, and placed it on the nightstand.

He unfurled his blanket and gently covered Baili Xia.

After doing these, he went out again, softly closing the bedroom door behind him, then returned to the living room to continue working.

Perhaps the events of the past couple of days had really put too much pressure on Baili Xia.

Once asleep, she began to have continuous nightmares…
