In the dream, it was like a movie being played, showcasing every scene of reality one by one.

Baili Xia’s heart was tightly clenched; she seemed to know it was a dream, yet couldn’t wait for the moment to wake up.

Everything was finished playing, and she thought she would wake up, but suddenly saw Uncle heading towards the main house angrily with a gun.

She hurried to chase after; although Uncle wasn’t walking fast, no matter how much effort she used, she couldn’t catch up.

When she arrived at the main hall, Uncle was already pointing the gun at the old man, saying something.

Baili Xia was terrified and dashed forward, throwing herself beside Mu Xiaojiu’s leg.

She reached out and hugged Uncle’s leg, pleading, “I beg you, spare my grandfather.”

“We don’t want anything. We’ll give Mu Group back to you, give the Mu family back to you, as long as you let him live.”

But in the dream, Mu Xiaojiu just glanced at her indifferently.

With a cold sneer, his finger pulled the trigger directly…

With a bang, a gunshot rang out, wisps of smoke billowed from the muzzle, and the old man fell into a pool of blood.

Seeing the whole place covered in blood, she wanted to scream, wanted to shout, but it was as if her throat was stuck, unable to make any sound.

Baili Xia suddenly awoke in fright, raising her hand to wipe her forehead covered in cold sweat.

The dream was so real, every scene seemed to have truly happened once.

She was really scared, terrified that the final result would be just like the dream.

She lifted the quilt, wanting to get up and go outside for some air.

Just as she sat up in bed, hooking her shoes with her feet, suddenly, Mu Xiaoyao’s gentle voice drifted in from the living room.

“You should be able to see how deep their feelings are; do you really have the heart to hurt her?”

Baili Xia’s pupils shrank, who was Brother talking to?

Who was he talking about?

Was he talking about grandfather’s matter?

She wanted to get up and walk to the door to listen but didn’t dare.

She knew Mu Xiaoyao’s prowess, even the slightest sound could be detected by him.

Outside the door, no one responded to Mu Xiaoyao, so he spoke again.

“Uncle, can you let him go?”

Uncle!

Only then did Baili Xia realize Brother was talking to Uncle, so were they talking about the old man?

Her heart pounded with excitement, she perked up her ears, listening carefully.

Hoping to hear Uncle say the answer she wanted.

As long as Uncle was willing to spare grandfather, she could persuade grandfather to let it all go.

This was all originally owned by the Mu family, and grandfather shouldn’t have wanted it.

She just wanted Uncle and grandfather not to really fight, not to fight until both were hurt.

But, it was utterly silent outside.

She felt a chill seep from the living room into the bedroom, making Baili Xia involuntarily shiver.

Uncle was angry, angered by what Mu Xiaoyao had just said.

Indeed, Mu Xiaojiu sneered coldly, scolding, “Have you forgotten how he harmed your grandfather back then? Has he ever shown mercy?”

Uncle was unwilling to spare grandfather!

Baili Xia gasped, closing her eyes tightly.

Her body involuntarily trembled, not noticing her shoe hanging from her foot fell off.

She was startled and quickly lay back down on the bed.

The faint sound, although separated by a door, could hardly guarantee that it wouldn’t be heard by the two experts outside.

Outside, Mu Xiaoyao was about to say something but suddenly saw Mu Xiaojiu signaling him, so he immediately fell silent.

Mu Xiaojiu turned around, directly pushed open the bedroom door, and walked in…
