“If you had informed me and our second brother earlier, we could have been prepared to help.”

Obviously, Mu Dongyu was not too pleased with the collaboration between Mu Xuri and Mu Xiaojiu.

This matter, after all, involves the Mu Family.

As the eldest and the second sons of Sir Mu, they should have a say in this.

As expected, Mu Haoguo also chimed in, “That’s right, third brother, you should have notified us in advance about this matter.”

“Have you kept it from us for all these years because you don’t trust us?”

Mu Xuri caught the implication behind his words and replied indifferently, “The more people know about this, the harder it is to accomplish.

Everything is settled now, so there’s no need to say more.”

“The most urgent task now is to stabilize our Mu Group’s business.”

Mu Dongyu said, “Indeed, everything should prioritize our Mu Group’s interests.”

He paused, looked at Mu Xuri, and slowly said, “I’m curious about how the shares left by Sir Mu are going to be handled, third brother?”

As soon as this was mentioned, Mu Haoguo’s eyes narrowed sharply, fixing on Mu Xuri, waiting for his explanation.

Mu Xuri had already anticipated their inquiry and glanced at Wen Yu.

Wen Yu quickly understood, took out the equity book from the bag, and handed it to him.

Mu Xuri held the equity book and said indifferently, “This is the previous equity book, detailing the shareholdings of the Mu family members, which I’ve reviewed.”

“Sir Mu held twenty-five percent of the shares, and this portion needs to be divided.”

He paused slightly and looked at Mu Dongyu and Mu Haoguo, probing, “How do you think we should distribute them, brothers?”

Mu Dongyu glanced at Mu Xiaojiu, with a hint of resentment in his eyes.

“The setup you devised earlier caused severe losses for my second brother and me, and you seized most of our shares.”

“Before distributing Sir Mu’s shares, shouldn’t you return our portion first?”

There was a flicker in Mu Xuri’s eyes as his gaze fell on Mu Xiaojiu, and he smiled, “Jiu, what do you think?”

Mu Xiaojiu replied calmly, “I’ll follow third brother’s arrangements.”

Mu Dongyu snorted coldly, evidently dissatisfied with Mu Xiaojiu’s stance.

Mu Xuri had just returned, conspiring with Mu Xiaojiu—how would Mu Dongyu and Mu Haoguo stand their ground in the future?

“Since Jiu says so, I will handle this matter.”

Mu Xuri straightened his expression, his voice turning serious.

“Wasn’t your loss of shares your own doing?”

“Big brother, if not for your woman’s gambling addiction and your lack of discipline, how could so much money have been lost?”

“Second brother, the same goes for you, keeping a mistress and falling into a scam trap.”

“These are all consequences of your actions, losing those shares wasn’t undeserved at all.”

Mu Dongyu and Mu Haoguo’s faces flushed red with embarrassment, wanting to lash out but having no grounds to do so.

When Baili Yang was still around, he never spoke to them like this.

Now, Mu Xuri had just returned, openly stating it in front of them, sparing them no dignity.

As they hesitated to think of a counterattack, Mu Xuri spoke again.

“However, since we are a family, I won’t keep your shares.”

“The previous portions, I’ll let Jiu duly return to you, hoping you will take care in the future and not let it happen again.”

Duly, of course, doesn’t mean entirely, but compared to giving nothing back, it’s significantly better.

Everyone knows how valuable Mu Group’s stocks are; even giving a tenth is substantial enough.

Of course, since Mu Xuri could say this, giving just a tenth isn’t feasible.

At least, he should return half, right?
