After a pause, Baili Xia added, “Except for my body, everything I have can be yours.”

She wanted to clarify things first to avoid any misunderstandings.

After all, the last time they had parted unhappily, it was over the issue of the body.

The last time was different; the former self almost had no will to live. Now, things are different.

Now, she’s not alone. She has Brother.

Wu Ming, however, just coldly stared at her, “Why not the body? If I remember correctly, you asked me yesterday whether I wanted you or not.”

“From now on, I won’t ask again.” Her face turned slightly red, but her words were resolute.

“Why?” Just one night, has her mindset changed again?

In truth, Wu Ming was pleased that she no longer treated her body lightly.

But who made her cherish herself so much? That person certainly wouldn’t be him!

Wu Ming clenched his fists tightly, his cold gaze was chilling.

Though his icy demeanor inexplicably made Baili Xia feel a little anxious.

For some reason, Wu Ming’s presence was much like that of Uncle.

When he looked at you with cold eyes, even if you were in the right, you couldn’t stand firm.

Because your legs are likely to go weak.

After losing her memory and regaining it, Baili Xia had come to understand that Uncle wasn’t her enemy, and naturally, neither was Wu Ming.

Baili Xia couldn’t quite describe her feelings towards Wu Ming now.

Seeing him hurt, she would still care, and when he saw her fall off a cliff, he would rescue her.

The emotions were there, just… difficult to explain.

The two of them stared at each other for a long time, finally, Wu Ming heaved a heavy sigh.

As though releasing the pent-up feelings from his heart, his demeanor returned to its usual aloofness.

His complex gaze swept over Baili Xia once, and Wu Ming turned around, heading towards the Mu family’s backyard.

Baili Xia watched from behind as that cold, solitary figure disappeared into the night.

For a moment, she even felt a bit softened.

Some people didn’t really do anything wrong in these matters.

She wanted to call Wu Ming back, to reconcile and restore their relationship to how it was before.

But she ultimately restrained herself, the hatred was no longer just her personal issue.

She couldn’t let herself forget all of that.

Although she had no enmity with Wu Ming and could even understand Uncle’s stance, Mu Xuri was still the respected elder in Uncle’s heart.

Before she had any substantial evidence, exposing herself would mean pushing herself into a hopeless predicament.

It’s not that she didn’t trust Uncle, but she knew too well that Uncle’s relationship with Mu Xuri was deeply rooted; breaking it would be too difficult.

The night was chilly, as her body gradually cooled down, Baili Xia couldn’t help but shrink a little.

Losing the interest to continue her exercise, she also began to head back to Sihai Residence.

Just as she was about to leave this grassy area, suddenly, a solitary figure appeared in the night.

Baili Xia thought Wu Ming had returned, but as she got closer, she saw it was a woman.

She immediately became alert, wondering which other woman would come to the mountain this late at night to exercise.

Baili Xia wanted to hide and take a closer look.

But with nothing but open grassland around, there was nowhere to hide.

Thinking it over, she forced herself to approach the figure.

Getting closer, Baili Xia finally saw clearly that the woman was Wen Yu.

She looked somewhat desolate, walking with her head down aimlessly, and had yet to notice Baili Xia’s presence despite being so close.

Baili Xia’s gaze shifted, and she walked over to her.

“Mrs. Wen.”
