“Let’s head out immediately.”

While they were applying makeup, the photographer had already loaded all the props into the car and was waiting for them.

It was getting late, so the group quickly got in the car and departed.

The wedding photoshoot was exhausting, especially considering Zimo was heavily pregnant.

Mu Lingchuan seemed to have fully awakened during this trip, taking care of Zimo with great attention from start to finish, ensuring she wasn’t worn out at all.

This made the young girls envy her immensely.

Who would’ve thought that the dignified president of Feixue Media would be so attentive to his wife?

Zimo sat in a beach recliner, watching the man bustling around; her sealed heart seemed to crack open a bit.

At that moment, he was standing in the distance with Hu Xuefei, discussing something.

His rugged features and perfect profile were matched by an elegance in his manner of speaking.

Zimo suddenly realized that Mr. Mu had so many alluring qualities.

After discussing the upcoming shoot with Hu Xuefei, Mu Lingchuan strode towards Zimo.

“How are you feeling? Are you uncomfortable?”

Mr. Mu spoke such tender words that Zimo was momentarily taken aback.

“Just one more batch of photos, and we can go back.”

“Oh,” Zimo responded lightly, a hint of disappointment flashing across her eyes.

So, time had passed so quickly that they were almost done with the photos.

“Mr. Mu, Mrs. Mu, let’s get ready for the last set,” Wang came over and said gently.

Mu Lingchuan extended his large hand, and Zimo instinctively reached out for him to support her as she stood up.

His every movement was gentle, as if afraid of accidentally bumping into Zimo.

Once Zimo stood up, he gently wrapped his arm around her waist and walked with her towards the photographer.

…

When Baili Xia returned to Sihai Residence after school in the afternoon, she immediately saw the figure seated on the sofa in the hall.

He seemed to have fully recovered, his impressive demeanor restored.

“Uncle,” Baili Xia called softly as she walked in. “Are you better now? Why did you come downstairs so quickly?”

Mu Xiaojiu glanced at her lightly, nodded, and a complex look flashed in his eyes.

“Much better.”

Baili Xia’s eyes lit up; ‘much better’ meant he could sleep in his own room tonight, didn’t it?

She obediently walked over and sat opposite Mu Xiaojiu. As soon as she sat down, Mu Xiaojiu asked, “That girl, don’t look for her anymore.”

Baili Xia’s heart shook; her eyebrows slightly raised. She instinctively sensed that the girl Uncle mentioned was Tian.

She had mentioned Tian to Brother just that morning when she went out.

Could it be that Brother found something out?

“Which girl?” she still asked.

Mu Xiaojiu replied, “The one from the main house, Tian.”

“Why? Did you find something out?”

Mu Xiaojiu shook his head, his gaze deep and inscrutable.

They found nothing. Even Uncle and Brother came up empty-handed, unable to trace Tian’s background?

If it was like this, her identity seemed even more peculiar.

Baili Xia instantly understood why Uncle wouldn’t let her find Tian.

“Alright, I’ll… refrain from seeking her out.”

She casually responded, the more suspicious Tian’s identity was, the less she could give up.

“Uncle, let’s go eat.”

Once Mu Xiaojiu nodded, she stood up and walked over to help him stand.

Brother hadn’t returned yet, so it was just the two of them dining tonight.

Sihai Residence was unusually quiet, and the quieter it became, the more uneasy Baili Xia felt.

It seemed like danger was getting closer and closer.
