Ning Anran had one more realization about Mu Xuri’s ruthlessness and selfishness.

Following someone like him, there’s fundamentally no sense of security.

If it were Mr. Xiaojiu, he would only be protective, and would never lose his temper at her because he might get implicated.

Without comparison, there is no harm; the more Ning Anran looks at Mu Xuri, this old bastard, the more disgusted she gets.

But now, without the backing of Mr. Xiaojiu, Ning Anran cannot yet abandon Mu Xuri, her current support.

She hurriedly explained, “Third Uncle, I acted in haste at the time and didn’t think much before cursing at her.”

“But we already have grievances with each other, even if I wronged her a bit, she probably wouldn’t think much of it.”

Mu Xuri let out a heavy breath, his expression grave.

“Pay attention in the future, she’s not as simple as you think.”

“Got it.”

Mu Xuri no longer pursued the matter, thinking that after today, no matter what is said, Baili Xia and her group won’t find any evidence.

He extended his large hand, wrapping it around Ning Anran’s slender waist, pulling her towards him.

“Baili Xia is not easy to deal with. When alone with her, be mindful and avoid giving her any more opportunities.”

“Understood, Third Uncle. But…”

Ning Anran was upset inside. Although Mu Xuri’s attitude towards her was still decent, the injuries all over her body and the slap on her face — this debt must be settled with Baili Xia.

“The slap on my face is tantamount to Baili Xia hitting you, after all, I was doing your bidding and she was clearly targeting you.”

Ning Anran raised her hand to her burning cheek, her face full of resentment.

Mu Xuri glanced at her, comforting her, “Alright, I will seek justice for you tomorrow.”

His hand wandered unsteadily under Ning Anran’s shirt.

He’s not interested in dwelling on the matter with Ning Anran; taking this spare moment to enjoy her beautiful body is what he desires.

Ning Anran felt frustrated; having just faced grievances, how could she now be willing to let him touch her body?

“Third Uncle, I’m hurting, wait until I’m better…”

“I’ll be gentle.”

Mu Xuri wouldn’t let her evade, keeping his left hand on Ning Anran’s back, rendering her immobile.

His right hand traced upwards, touching the soft edges along her flat abdomen.

Ning Anran’s body naturally reacted, involuntarily squirming.

But her mind remained clear; she knew she didn’t want Mu Xuri’s wandering hands at this moment and was calculating how to escape him.

A thought crossed her mind; she remembered what she overheard.

“Wait, Third Uncle, I have something important to tell you.”

“Hmm?” Mu Xuri responded perfunctorily, while his hand’s movements became larger.

His fingers kneaded softly, the pleasurable sensation making his muscles tauter than usual.

“I overheard something about Xiaoxiao in the medical room; she’s about to wake up.”

Ning Anran knew that Mu Xuri would definitely be concerned about this matter.

The last time she brought it up, he immediately lost interest in her.

Sure enough, Mu Xuri’s eyebrows rose, and his hands froze.

“What did they say?”

His face darkened, staring into Ning Anran’s eyes, the impulse in his gaze subsided significantly.

“Before I met Baili Xia, I eavesdropped on their conversation outside the medical room.”

“Ye Hua said that Xiaoxiao’s brain activity is incredibly high, she might wake up within these days.”

Taking advantage of Mu Xuri’s distraction, Ning Anran shifted her body slightly, avoiding the disgusting large hand kneading her.

Even the large hand resting on her perky behind slipped off unconsciously.
