Mu Xuri was taken aback, his brow furrowing even deeper.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Besides me, do you really have any other way to control the Mu Group?”

The man called Mister sneered coldly, his words dripping with disdain.

Mu Xuri felt a chill in his heart.

He knew that he was now in a passive position.

The situation had already been exposed, and as long as Mu Xiaojiu was around, he had no way to stand firm in the Mu Group.

But no matter what, he was still a member of the Mu Family.

Controlling the Mu Group through him was rightful and proper.

Back when they decided to cooperate, it was because they valued his identity.

He looked at the middle-aged man, his expression cooling a bit, and said in a deep voice, “As long as Mu Xiaojiu is controlled, I can regain the Mu Group.”

The man retorted, “If Mu Xiaojiu were that easy to control, why would I need you?”

Mu Xuri clenched his palm tightly, although his words were unpleasant, they were true.

The assets he could rely on were dwindling.

These people were just wolves in sheep’s clothing.

They were merely using him to achieve their goal of controlling the Mu Corporation.

But now, apart from relying on their power, he definitely couldn’t go back on his own.

Mu Xuri gritted his teeth and made a difficult decision.

“Here’s the deal: you just help me control Mu Xiaojiu, and I’ll handle the rest.”

“After it’s done, the recovered shares of the Mu Group will be split seventy-thirty—seventy for you, thirty for me.”

The man’s eyes lit up; the temptation was indeed great.

The previous agreement was a fifty-fifty split.

But, does Mu Xuri really still have that capability?

Especially since his son had already died in Sihai Residence because of this operation.

It was all because of the inaccurate information Mu Xuri provided; otherwise, how could the mission have failed?

The middle-aged man lowered his eyes in thought. Although losing his son was saddening, it wasn’t insurmountable.

People within the organization had long disregarded their own lives.

But he wouldn’t let go of the person responsible for his son’s death!

Mu Xiaojiu bore absolute responsibility, but Mu Xuri also had to take a significant part of the blame.

Still, he was waiting for news from the other side…

Suddenly, the phone on the desk vibrated.

He grabbed the phone with his large hand.

After pressing the answer button, he held it to his ear, listening quietly.

Until he hung up the call, his face showed no change in expression.

Only in those handsome eyes did a hint of darkness appear.

He looked up at Mu Xuri and said calmly, “The personnel attacking the Wolf Territory base have been completely wiped out. Our painstakingly planted dozen agents inside have all been controlled!”

Mu Xuri listened, his heart filled with terror as he panicked suddenly.

This was supposed to be his last lifeline; if the action against Wolf Territory succeeded, it would severely weaken Mu Xiaojiu’s power.

If it succeeded, it would be much easier to control Mu Xiaojiu afterward.

“Sir, this… there’s no need to rush. Let’s rearrange and next time… next time will definitely be possible.”

“Shut up, Mu Xuri, you’re thinking far too simply!”

The middle-aged man couldn’t help it, slamming his large hand heavily on the table.

Years of meticulous planning completely failed; how much effort had it taken to place people inside?

To rearrange everything again, how would it be that easy?

The strong dragon cannot suppress the local snake; unable to control the Wolf Territory, trying to take down Mu Xiaojiu is nearly impossible.

“Do you really think that by rearranging once more, you can defeat Mu Xiaojiu?”

“I’ve painstakingly managed for years, never expecting it to be destroyed in your hands!”

As he spoke, his eyes were already filled with viciousness.
