Mu Xuri looked at the man’s eyes filled with murderous intent, and immediately became tense.

“Yu Zhen, what do you mean?”

“How can the failure of this mission be my fault?”

“If it weren’t for the lack of strength of the people you sent, how could it have failed?”

He blamed the organization as well, every time they sent someone to assassinate Mu Xiaojiu, they failed and came back.

If they succeeded, there wouldn’t be so much trouble.

Yu Zhen smiled, a smile that sent chills down one’s spine.

“My people not strong enough? I even sent my son, and still not strong enough?”

“If it weren’t for the incorrect information you provided, would my son have died in the Mu Mansion?”

Mu Xuri’s body trembled, his face full of astonishment.

“What? Your son?”

He hadn’t expected that among the dead assassins, one was Yu Zhen’s son.

His clenched palm was unconsciously sweaty, and he raised a hand to wipe his forehead.

“I didn’t know, if I knew your son was also part of the mission, I would have tried my best to ensure his safety.”

Yu Zhen raised a hand, interrupting Mu Xuri.

“It’s useless to say anything now, you have no value to us anymore.”

As soon as he finished speaking, suddenly two people walked in from outside the study.

No one knew when these two people arrived outside the study, but Mu Xuri hadn’t heard a sound.

“Yu Zhen, what do you want to do?”

Mu Xuri panicked and shouted.

Yu Zhen didn’t respond, just looked at him indifferently.

Since Mu Xuri was no longer useful and knew too much about the organization’s secrets, he couldn’t be allowed to stay.

Those two people walked straight towards Mu Xuri, and Mu Xuri’s eyes flashed.

When they got close, he suddenly pressed a button on the armrest of the wheelchair.

Two muffled groans sounded, and the two people seemed to be hit by some hidden weapon, immediately falling to the ground.

Black blood oozed from their mouths, and in an instant, they were poisoned to death.

Yu Zhen’s eyes showed a hint of surprise, not expecting Mu Xuri to have such a powerful poison at hand.

“Mu Xuri, I didn’t expect your poisoning skills haven’t declined over the years.”

Mu Xuri turned to look at Yu Zhen, and said in a deep voice, “Yu Zhen, you forced me to this.”

“We could have cooperated well and taken control of Jin City together, but now…”

His gaze turned cold, glancing at Leng Yu.

Leng Yu immediately flashed forward, attacking Yu Zhen.

Since they had already turned against each other, they needed to quickly take Yu Zhen down.

Only this way, could they possibly ensure their own safety.

He knew, despite the outside being so quiet, that there were definitely many of Yu Zhen’s men hidden.

However, Mu Xuri miscalculated.

Before Leng Yu’s hand touched Yu Zhen’s body, Yu Zhen disappeared in a blink.

A sharp pain suddenly came from behind, and Leng Yu charged heavily forward, falling to the ground.

With a cry, a mouthful of blood was spat out.

Yu Zhen glanced down at her, expression indifferent.

“Not worth the fight.”

After speaking, he turned and walked towards Mu Xuri.

As Yu Zhen got closer and closer, Mu Xuri felt uncertain about the hidden weapons he had concealed.

Earlier, it shouldn’t have been exposed so soon.

If used on Yu Zhen, there might have been a sliver of hope…

…

After waking up, Xiaoxiao moved to the second floor of the hall to recuperate in the room she originally stayed in.

In the medical room, only Ye Zi was left.

She was lying on the bed.

Her eyes wide open, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Having been captured for a long time, she wondered what the situation outside was like now.

After so long, why hadn’t the organization come to rescue her, had they already abandoned her?

Clearly, she was poisoned, so why wasn’t she dead yet?
