Chapter 2338

Bei Tianyou said again, “However, the most important thing for Bei Miao this year is not the defense camp competition.”

Baili Xia raised an eyebrow, her puzzled gaze fell on him.

Could there possibly be something more important than this competition?

Bei Tianyou’s lips curled slightly, and a deep shadow flashed inadvertently in his eyes.

“Starting at the end of this year, Bei Miao will also begin the election for the new Clan Leader.”

“Clan Leader election?” Baili Xia’s confusion deepened.

She had heard before that the current Clan Leader of Bei Miao is Bei Qingyue.

Although she knew that Bei Miao’s management structure was different from Jin City’s, she didn’t know much about the details of the Clan Leader election.

“A Clan Leader in Bei Miao will only serve for five years, and every five years a new election will be held.”

“By the end of this year, it’s exactly five years.”

Baili Xia nodded, it seemed that this year Bei Family’s tasks were quite heavy.

The powers of the Clan Leader and the defense camp in Bei Miao are all concentrated in the Bei Family.

This is also a reason why Bei Family can become the strongest power in Bei Miao.

In such a situation, they definitely won’t willingly lose their original power.

When mentioning the Clan Leader election, the complex expression in Bei Tianyou’s eyes became more intense.

Unable to understand, Baili Xia asked, “Brother You, is there any unexpected situation in this year’s Clan Leader election?”

“No, it’s just that this year the Bei Family is very likely to lose eligibility for the Clan Leader election.”

Baili Xia’s heart tightened, she hurriedly asked, “Why?”

Bei Tianyou said lightly, “Because we don’t have a pure-blooded descendant of the Bei Family to participate.”

His words carried a hint of reluctance.

Hearing such a tone from him, Baili Xia suddenly felt a bit inexplicably sad.

Pure-blooded descendants of the Bei Family, she didn’t understand.

After Bei Qingyue’s generation, isn’t the Bei Family still having quite a few people?

Brother You, he is one of them.

Seeing the confusion in Baili Xia’s eyes, Bei Tianyou explained, “I’ve been ill since I was young, and it’s already destined that I can’t participate in the Clan Leader election my whole life.”

Baili Xia suddenly realized, and instantly understood why Brother You felt so lost.

As an outstanding young member of the Bei Family, with remarkable strength, yet unable to participate in the Clan Leader election due to health reasons.

Like his Uncle, he is someone with great ambitions, never content with a simple life.

But the door to a larger stage had closed on him early.

“If your illness can be cured, would you then qualify for participation?”

Baili Xia suddenly had a thought, which was to help Brother You completely eradicate the illness that had troubled him for many years.

Not only for the Clan Leader election, but also hoping that this wouldn’t hinder Brother You from achieving his life ambitions.

Bei Tianyou shook his head, whether he had already given up hope that the illness would be cured, or because it was utterly impossible to participate in the election.

“These things don’t matter, the Bei Family still has other young people.”

“Only, either their bloodline isn’t pure enough, or they’re all useless.”

The younger generation of the Bei Family includes Nangong Yun, Bei Yulin, and Bei Zicheng.

However, Bei Zicheng’s father, Bei Shengri, had long left the Bei Family, so his eligibility vanished with him.

Among the remaining people, although the bloodline wasn’t pure enough, after discussing, they reluctantly decided to nominate Nangong Yun as the candidate.

However, Nangong Yun is truly useless.

Repeatedly causing troubles within the Bei Family, especially the previous actions against Baili Xia, which made the Old Madam lose confidence in her.

If not for Bei Yulin being truly hopeless, the Old Madam would have long announced a change of candidate.
