Baili Xia sat down opposite Mu Xiaoyao. This matter had been lingering in her mind all day.

Mu Xiaoyao, however, remained silent, continuing his battle with dinner.

Seeing him looking so haggard, Baili Xia really wondered if he even had lunch today.

She felt a bit sorry for him but was too embarrassed to disturb him.

This guy can forget everything when he’s busy. Back in the Mu family, there were people to remind him.

But now, out here, if even she forgets about him, this guy could possibly be busy all day without thinking about eating or drinking.

For other people, being hungry is a natural response.

When hungry, they want to eat, and once full, they’re satisfied.

But Mu Xiaoyao is different; solving a tough problem gives him more satisfaction than anything else.

Baili Xia stood up, walked to the water dispenser, and turned on the hot water switch.

After waiting for five minutes for the water to boil, she poured a cup and returned to her seat.

She put the cup down in front of Mu Xiaoyao but still didn’t speak.

Apart from the slight sound of eating, the rest of the room fell silent.

In less than ten minutes, Mu Xiaoyao finished all the food Baili Xia had brought.

Knowing this guy can eat like Uncle, she had increased the portion but didn’t expect him to finish it all.

“What, still not enough?” Baili Xia felt a bit helpless.

Mu Xiaoyao took a sip of water before looking up at her.

“Enough.”

“What did you eat for lunch?”

“Nothing at all.”

As expected, Baili Xia guessed correctly; this guy didn’t even have lunch.

She indeed felt helpless, but more than that, she felt sorry for him.

After all, he was out here helping her, so she should take responsibility.

Before she could say anything, Mu Xiaoyao swiftly cleaned up the table and threw everything into the trash.

“I’ve already hacked into Youyang Pavilion’s surveillance system. Soon, you can go over.”

As soon as he spoke, he returned to his computer and started working away.

Wu Ming raised his eyebrow and looked over at them.

Baili Xia followed suit and sat behind Mu Xiaoyao.

“Really?” She asked, even though she knew the question was unnecessary.

Brother never jokes around, and he never says anything lightly.

She could barely understand any of this stuff.

But since Brother said they could go soon, they surely would be able to enter Youyang Pavilion tonight.

Thinking that way, her mood instantly became excited.

There must be secrets about mom in there, and possibly some turning point.

Even if she wanted to stay calm, she couldn’t.

Mu Xiaoyao, true to form, ignored her and kept busy with his work.

But sitting behind, Wu Ming could deeply sense the girl’s unease.

At some point, he stood up and stepped behind her.

Wu Ming gently patted Baili Xia on the shoulder, and she glanced back at him.

In his eyes, she saw reassurance, and her breathing gradually steadied.

Baili Xia nodded, then turned her head to look at Mu Xiaoyao’s figure.

After about half an hour, Mu Xiaoyao stopped what he was doing.

He pushed the chair back and stretched lazily.

Even though it was a casual stretch, it was still quite charming.

But Baili Xia’s attention wasn’t on this lovely sight at all.

“Brother, is it done?”

Mu Xiaoyao spun around, turning halfway with the chair’s axle, and looked at her.
