This kind of gaze from women, Mu Xiaoyao had long been accustomed to.

Mu Xiaoyao downed the glass of red wine in one gulp and placed the glass back on the tray.

Without pausing, he continued to stride towards the backyard.

Nan LanLan stood where she was, watching him, waiting for him to walk by.

Who knew, when Mu Xiaoyao passed by her, he didn’t even glance at her.

In fact, sensing her dazed gaze, there was even a hint of disgust in his eyes.

It wasn’t until Mu Xiaoyao walked past her that Nan LanLan suddenly snapped back to reality.

“You…” She opened her mouth, wanting to say something.

Suddenly, Mu Xiaoyao spoke: “Move aside.”

That voice was like an ice shard, indescribably cold.

Nan LanLan was stunned in place, instinctively stepping aside.

That figure, though tall, was frighteningly cold, giving an inexplicable feeling of being kept at a distance.

Of course, she realized that this person wasn’t being cold specifically towards her, but was equally cold to everyone.

Such a man was too domineering.

Who is he? Who exactly is he?

Suddenly, she remembered that he seemed to have come from her father’s direction.

Thinking of this, Nan LanLan quickly turned to walk towards Nan Fengqing.

After just a couple of steps, she saw that maid still staring blankly where Mu Xiaoyao had disappeared.

Instantly, the face that was full of charm earlier turned icy.

“What are you looking at?”

Walking past the maid, she whispered fiercely.

The maid snapped back, looking at Nan LanLan with a face full of panic.

“I, I just, I…”

“Really have no shame, losing your head over a handsome guy like that, don’t you have any face left?”

Right now, she seemed to be facing a love rival, with not a trace of a lady’s demeanor in her words.

Of course, she didn’t truly see the maid as a rival, as their statuses were not equal.

But, liking the same man as herself, that was not okay.

The maid was so frightened she didn’t know what to do, having no idea what to say.

She simply stood there, head lowered, waiting for Nan LanLan’s scolding.

Nan LanLan didn’t have time to linger, casting her a sidelong glance.

“Next time you’re in heat, pick the right place, don’t be an eyesore here.”

With that, she stepped past the maid and continued walking toward Nan Fengqing’s table.

The maid stood there in a daze, watching Nan LanLan’s back, tears welling up in her eyes.

Who would have thought a lady of such standing could speak such hurtful, venomous words?

By the time Nan LanLan reached Nan Fengqing’s table, her face wore a cool, enchanting smile again.

“Dad…”

Sitting down, she glanced at Bei Fengjin sitting beside Nan Fengqing and smiled.

“Uncle Bei.”

Bei Fengjin nodded lightly, not responding otherwise.

“Dad, the young man who just left here, who is he?”

Nan Fengqing lifted an eyebrow, his gaze sweeping towards Bei Fengjin, a trace of embarrassment in his eyes.

He didn’t expect his daughter to become infatuated as soon as she saw this handsome man.

Seeing Bei Fengjin calmly sipping tea, he coughed lightly and said, “That’s the second young master of the Mu Group in Jin City, Mu Xiaoyao.”

“Alright, I understand.”

Nan LanLan was overjoyed; as expected, he came from an extraordinary background, turns out he was from the Mu family in Jin City!

The second young master of the Mu family, just hearing that title alone was undeniably impressive.

Her taste in men was impeccable, the second young master of the Mu family… simply perfect!

If she married into the Mu family in Jin City, she would undoubtedly become the most celebrated woman to marry out of the Nan family.

Without thinking further, she stood up and turned towards the backyard.

“Lan’er, you…”

Behind her was only Nan Fengqing’s gentle call, but she could no longer hear it.
