Baili Xia dashed to the man in black, raising her dagger and stabbing towards his chest.

The man in black slightly tilted his body, easily dodging the attack.

Having missed her strike, Baili Xia twisted her wrist, sweeping the dagger horizontally toward his waist.

However, her speed was far inferior to that of the man in black.

The man in black stepped back a pace, dodging once more.

He even put away his dagger.

Looking down at Baili Xia, he said indifferently, “With your skill level, you should stop resisting.”

“Follow me out obediently, and you won’t suffer.”

Another man in black approached, planning to attack Baili Xia from the other side.

However, he raised his hand to stop him.

He originally thought Baili Xia had some strength, but upon testing, he realized her skills were lacking.

She had managed to defeat six of his brothers earlier, clearly using tricks.

Baili Xia hummed coldly, not responding.

But her dagger began to swing again, charging towards the man in black.

She was adopting a reckless fighting style, not protecting herself, thrusting the dagger with full force at the man’s vital points.

Baili Xia had already discerned that these people intended to capture her.

No doubt, they wanted to use her as leverage against Uncle.

So, since she wasn’t going to die, there was no need for defense.

This forced the man in black to retreat under her desperate attack, his brow furrowing slightly.

If it weren’t for Boss’s orders to capture this girl alive, he wouldn’t have put in so much effort.

Whether due to carelessness or something else, Baili Xia’s dagger managed to leave a faint mark on his face.

The man in black retreated two steps, rubbing his finger over his face.

The crimson bloodstain burned painfully on the wound.

Having been scratched on the face by such a reckless attack, he realized letting her continue to resist was untenable, not knowing how long it would take to capture her.

He drew his dagger again, staring coldly at Baili Xia, “Since you’re unwilling to come with us, don’t blame me for being rude.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he shot towards Baili Xia like an arrow.

His speed was genuinely much faster than Baili Xia’s.

Baili Xia quickly raised her hand, slashing through the air to try and block him.

But the man twisted his body, lifted his foot, and kicked Baili Xia’s arm.

Fortunately, her grip was firm; otherwise, the dagger would have been kicked away.

The disparity in strength was too great, and Baili Xia could only keep swinging her dagger.

She couldn’t fall—she must not. Wu Ming was still there; she had to protect him…

Her stamina was ultimately limited; after a while, her speed slowed down.

The man in black’s eyes flashed, sliding his dagger towards Baili Xia’s arm.

She only felt a chill on her forearm, and crimson blood flowed down her arm onto the ground.

Baili Xia bit her lip, silently enduring it.

However, the opponent did not cease his attack; instead, he quickened his movements.

Baili Xia continuously retreated, protecting herself, until she backed into the stone wall at the corner, with nowhere left to retreat.

“Wu Ming, I’m sorry, I can’t protect you anymore, I’m sorry…”

Baili Xia silently thought to herself; she had tried her best and could do no more.

As the man in black again thrust his dagger at her, this time, she couldn’t dodge.

At the crucial moment, a pebble suddenly shot out from the dark behind the stone wall, slicing through the air, flying past Baili Xia, shooting towards the man in black.

With a bang, it directly hit the shining dagger.

Whether it was the force of the pebble or the man’s negligence, his dagger was unexpectedly knocked away.
