Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 2531
About ten minutes later, their car was only a few hundred meters away from the Bei Family’s gate.
Fan Yi had the driver pull over to the side, took out his phone, and made a call.
“We’re here, proceed as planned.” Once the call connected, he said calmly.
Whatever the other side said, Fan Yi nodded slightly, said “Yes”, and quickly hung up the phone.
Seeing his actions, Baili Xia’s heart was suddenly filled with suspicion.
Before she could voice her questions, a white van suddenly jumped out in front.
After giving the van driver an “OK” gesture, Fan Yi had the driver restart the car slowly.
“Lady Yue has posted guards at the gate to check vehicles coming in and out.”
“This is also just in case, we’ll wait until they divert the guards at the gate before we go in.”
Glancing back at the two, Fan Yi proactively explained to them.
“So that’s how it is.” Baili Xia smiled slightly, finally feeling relieved.
Fan Yi was still worried, fearing they might be checked and expose the presence of her and Wu Ming.
This also showed how seriously the Old Madam was taking this matter, even scrutinizing vehicles entering and leaving the Bei Family.
Indeed, to become Brother You’s right-hand man, Fan Yi was much more thorough than the average person in his work.
Two minutes later, Fan Yi’s phone rang again.
After he hung up, the driver quickly drove the car forward.
…
The car slowly stopped at the back door of the Bi Luo Pavilion, and Fan Yi led the two through the backyard to the hall.
Today, the Bi Luo Pavilion was unusually quiet, not even a few servants in sight.
Noticing the confusion in Baili Xia’s eyes, Fan Yi explained, “Just in case, the young master gave the staff a holiday.”
Baili Xia was silently moved inside, Brother You’s considerations for their safety were truly thoughtful.
Once the three stepped into the Bi Luo Pavilion hall, they found Bei Tianyou already sitting on the sofa waiting for them.
Seeing their return, he slowly stood up and walked towards Baili Xia.
After two steps, he suddenly noticed the casually bandaged wound on her arm, his eyebrows furrowing slightly.
“How did you get injured?”
Although his voice was calm, Baili Xia could hear the concern in his words.
Baili Xia looked up at him and gave him a faint smile.
“Brother You, I’m fine, it’s just a minor scratch, nothing serious.”
Bei Tianyou looked down at her, his expression slightly composed.
Seeing she wanted to say more, he turned to Fan Yi who was standing silently by the side, saying, “Invite Dr. Liang over, don’t alert anyone else.”
“Yes, young master.” Fan Yi responded and was about to leave.
“Wait,” Baili Xia called out to him.
She looked at Bei Tianyou, “I’m a doctor myself, it’s nothing, I can bandage this up myself.”
Bei Tianyou gestured to Fan Yi, ignoring Baili Xia’s words.
Seeing this, Fan Yi immediately went to invite Dr. Liang.
Those who can heal others shouldn’t treat themselves; to handle the wound properly, another doctor’s intervention is needed.
After settling Baili Xia’s issue, Bei Tianyou’s gaze fell on Wu Ming.
“How are you? Everything okay?” His voice was noticeably calmer when addressing him.
Wu Ming couldn’t care less, looking down at Baili Xia, his voice still incredibly hoarse, “Help me back to rest.”
“Alright, I’ll take you to your room now.” Baili Xia nodded, quickly regaining her composure and immediately assisted him back to his room.
Wu Ming’s injuries were severe; he needed to get back quickly to have his wounds cleaned again.
