Be Gentle, My Master

Chapter 838: Don't Argue Anymore in the Future

  • Next Chapter

Baili Xia never anticipated that Uncle would actually appear here.

He came, the big tree that had always provided shelter from the wind and rain for her, had just moved over to her!

Her hoarse voice was stuck deep in her throat, and finally, when he approached her, she could only utter a vague call, “Uncle…”

Suddenly, the man’s rough palm reached out, snatching her over in one pull.

His cold, damp kiss landed on her lips in an instant.

It started like a release for his own unrest, ravaging her mouth brutally and crazily.

Later, like the storm that had passed, it finally mellowed down.

Yet, he was unwilling to let go, still engulfing her lips, kissing without any method, but lingering on incessantly.

Their bodies, drenched by the rain and ice-cold, ignited with heat from the kiss.

However, it was clear that the warmth in Baili Xia’s body wasn’t simply due to the kiss.

After Mu Xiaojiu calmed down, he immediately noticed something was amiss with her.

“You have a fever.” His hand rested on her forehead to feel, and indeed, he discovered an unusual temperature.

His expression darkened, and he suddenly scooped her up, intending to exit the cave.

In such a wild and remote cave, who knew if there might be poisonous creatures lurking within.

If they could leave, then they definitely should not linger in this place any longer.

However, outside there was fierce wind and rain, and she was feverish…

Having just stepped out of the cave entrance, he immediately felt Baili Xia’s small body start to shiver.

A moment of helplessness washed over Mu Xiaojiu, but after mere half a second’s hesitation, he turned back into the cave.

Baili Xia didn’t understand what he was doing; after Uncle had reached her side, she had just clung to him tightly.

She let him kiss her, and let him carry her, deciding she would follow him no matter if it was to the ends of the earth or the corners of the sea.

Just to follow him, as long as she could stay by his side, that was enough.

As long as Uncle was there, she would be safe; his presence would forever be the best haven for her.

Uncle, let’s never fight again, let’s not make a fuss anymore.

All she wanted was to follow him, just to be with him…

She was dizzy and confused, hardly making sense of the situation.

Yet, her ears caught the low, slightly angry voice of the man.

“Wet clothes, don’t you know to take them off to dry? Wearing them like this, you know you can get sick?”

She just blinked her eyes, not even sure if she heard him speaking.

Maybe she heard, but didn’t grasp the meaning of his words.

All she knew was that, in her most desperate, most difficult, and most frightened moment, Uncle came.

He arrived, like a deity descending from the heavens, and to her, he was a god.

A grand and imposing god who could hold up the sky for her.

As for what the god was saying, or doing, she couldn’t understand at all.

Mu Xiaojiu effortlessly removed Baili Xia’s clothes and casually spread them out on a nearby rock.

The cave was deep, and during flashes of lightning, the brief illumination allowed him to see his surroundings clearly.

He didn’t know what unknown dangers lurked inside, so even though droplets of rain occasionally drifted in, he’d rather settle with her in a corner.

By himself, he might have attempted to venture further, but with his “little creature” in tow, he dared not.

For fear there might be something poisonous that could harm her.
