Be Gentle, My Master

Chapter 947: His Mu Her Xia

  • Next Chapter

Baili Xia hurriedly left the academy through the back door and stopped a taxi.

She didn’t dare to enter the hospitals near the school, so she found a small hospital on her phone’s GPS and asked the driver to head straight there.

The test was just a urine sample.

Soon, she came out of the restroom with her belongings.

However, seeing the line and the slow-moving nurses, she felt somewhat uneasy.

A small hospital is still a small hospital.

Private hospitals like this one have no real discipline, and the nurses there seem careless.

What if they mixed up someone’s test results?

But with the big hospitals closed, she had no other choice.

Moreover, even if the big hospitals were open, she wouldn’t dare to go.

Especially those renowned hospitals; what if the doctors recognized her as a girl from the Mu family?

What would she do then?

It was safer to be in a small hospital, where people from the Mu family definitely wouldn’t come.

So, when facing those disdainful looks from the nurses and doctors, she could only swallow her pride.

She placed the test cup and form together and lined up.

A nurse came over and took their items for testing.

Baili Xia was extremely anxious, on one hand feeling almost certain about the outcome.

On the other hand, she still held onto that one in a million hope, hoping she had made a mistake, hoping she wasn’t pregnant at all.

Sitting on a chair in the corridor, she looked at the other girls around her who were about her age, feeling both anxious and helpless.

Everyone else had their boyfriend or at least a friend with them, only she was all alone.

But none of those girls had happy expressions.

At similar ages, eighteen or nineteen, coming to check if they were pregnant, how could any of them be in a good mood?

Even if they were accompanied by boyfriends, how much could their boyfriends really share their burden?

So young, unable to marry, unable to have children.

So, once it’s confirmed, they really are pregnant, what then?

If she really was pregnant, and Uncle found out, would Uncle want the child?

With so many enemies, how could he possibly want another burden for himself?

Her hand tightened involuntarily, and her heart panged with pain.

Uncle wouldn’t want the child; what should she do if she really was pregnant?

As time slowly passed, her heartbeat grew more intense.

Twenty minutes to get the results, and twenty minutes were almost up.

Like the other girls, Baili Xia was anxiously waiting.

The more she waited, the more nervous and uneasy she became.

It was not until the nurse called out from the nurse station that she snapped out of her anxiety.

“Mu Xia,” the nurse called once, and no one responded, so she called again, “Mu Xia.”

Still getting no response, the nurse didn’t mind much; she tossed the form aside, ready to call the next person.

Only then did Baili Xia realize from her sudden recollection that, to reduce the chances of exposure, she had given herself a fake name.

She didn’t dare use the name “Baili Xia,” so she changed it to Mu Xia.

“Mu” from Mu Xiaojiu, and “Xia” from Baili Xia.

It was what she blurted out when the doctor asked for her name, she didn’t even know why she picked that name.

Seeing the nurse picking up another person’s form, she tensed and hurried over.

“Excuse me, nurse, I am Mu Xia, my form…”
