Ved shot through the chaos dimension like a colourful streak of light not even caring for anything standing in his way.

His speed was blindingly fast surpassing most early stage creation realm experts, he crashed through floating island like they were nothing.

He cared not whether something was standing on his path or not, his connection with Naledi was growing fainter with each passing moment.

A massive blob of blood appeared in front of him, blood tentacles shot out of its body and lunged at him like serpents.

Around it, there were other weird shaped creatures, all of them were comprehension realm heralds.

Ved didn’t have any time to waste with them, he hadn’t fully healed from directly absorbing the chaos stone.

His body was still a bit heavy for his soul thus weakening him but he was still a level 7 comprehension realm dragon.

His divine flame blazed higher on his wings turning his surroundings dark as they absorbed the light around him.

His opponents heard a deafening roar and before they could react to it, he crashed through then like a speeding truck.

Any who came in contact with his body exploded into a mist of blood and body fragments.

Only the herald of blood survived simply because it had a much higher regeneration than the others.

Those who were lucky enough to dodge in time sighed with relief. The minds of the void beings might be twisted but they too did not wish to die.

Unlike the beings of heaven, death for void beings was permanent, there was no after life or reincarnation.

Ved ignored the carnage he left behind him, his mind was only occupied by Naledi’s disappearing aura.

’ Faster faster, you’ve got to move faster.’ after what felt like forever he felt something he had felt before.

An overwhelming wave of despair so dark, so endless it turned even his heart cold and through it he felt her.

He felt the emotions she was bottling inside her, she was scared, scared to die, scared to see her friends die.

She acted fine when she learnt of Ndu’s death, at the very least she didn’t fall into despair or so he and everybody thought.

But she was simply forcing herself to not break down in front of them because she had promised to not let despair take her again.

However her moniker still stuck with her, it still gripped her heart with the cold hand of fear and despair.

She feared the destiny standing before her, one telling her she was destined to lose all she held dear.

However above all else she feared her own death, she interpreted her moniker might be talking about her own death.

After all if she dies, she can’t see her friends anymore, she won’t be able to hold him anymore and that terrified her.

All of these emotions she’s been bottling up came crashing on him like an avalanche, he was barely able to hold on.

Her despair almost froze his heart, it was too overwhelming to the point frost appeared on his body.

The heat around him evaporated the frost and he tried to speed up but he had reached the limit of his speed.

Fortunately he was close now and he saw her surrounded by what he could only describe as darkness.

He could feel the darkness was a living creature of colossal size so vast it defied logic.

Its power couldn’t be measured, literally he couldn’t tell at what rank the creature was at but he knew it was powerful.

And it was closing up trying to engulf her, he could feel it consuming her and he couldn’t allow that.

Ved lunged at his top speed towards the opening that was closing up, by the time he got there it was too small for him to go through.

He grabbed both ends, his muscles strained and his scales stood erect. His golden eyes glowed like embers.

" ROAAAAAR!" The creature shook from his roar but it was not meant for it.

Naledi raised her head with blurry eyes, she heard a loud roar that reverberated in her soul.

Faintly she saw two golden orbs shining down on her bringing light to the dark world she found herself in.

She felt drawn to them and slowly walked towards it, each step unfreezing the frozen world.

Each step echoed like a drum, dum dum dum dum, each beat sent a warm current throughout her entire body.

Her eyes cleared and blood flowed faster and faster through her veins bringing warmth and breaking the ice.

Her heartbeat returned, each pump sending blood flowing like waves. She regained her consciousness and the world became clear to her.

Tears welled up in her eyes when she saw the one standing in front her, " Ved." She whispered, her voice muffled by emotions she could barely contain.

Ved grinned at her then a flash of red appeared besides him.

Ved was holding this creature with all of his might and it was incredibly hard, he had activated everything.

His ignition was at full power and his law of might surrounded his body like armour increasing his strength.

The only thing not active was the golden aura from his dragon image because activating that was conditional.

But he was holding it, Naledi moved towards him, ’ Good she’s woken up.’ when she moved so did it.

It moved the exact distance she did and pushed him back by a step, he realised what it was doing.

As long as it moved along with her she would never be able to get out of its bounds thus trapping her.

It was a good strategy to trap prey but he wasn’t going to let it, it tried to push him again.

" No you don’t." He flapped his wings and grinded his teeth and pushed, it pushed and he pushed back.

They reached a stalemate but a stalemate was all he needed, Naledi took off but before she could get far.

He saw a flash of red and the temperature around him spiked to a level enough to burn through his scales.
