Beastmen Are Crazy, So I Sell Them Therapy
Chapter 174 - 172
Chapter 174: Chapter 172
If I told them the truth, would they even believe me?
Or would they decide I had finally lost my mind and send me straight to a mental facility?
Neither option sounded particularly appealing so I did the most rational thing I could think of.
I stared at all of them with a completely serious expression before opening my mouth and immediately running it.
"Of course I’m happy! I was just shocked that I have three mates. Three!" I held up three fingers for emphasis. "Come to think of it, how old are you three already? Wait, are you all just jealous because I found my mates earlier than all of you combined?"
Their faces instantly soured at what they heard.
’Perfect.’
If I couldn’t tell them the truth, I might as well insult them until they forgot to ask.
Remington pointed at me indignantly. "At least I have fan clubs!"
I smiled smugly. "I have one too."
Remington’s expression faltered.
"Not only in the capital, but in different kingdoms as well. And the best part is, they still haven’t even seen my face."
Gawain immediately deadpanned, "It’s called having customers."
"That’s your opinion."
"It’s literally your business."
"At least I have one at school too," I said as I dramatically flipped my hair over my shoulder. "Unlike some people who are deluding themselves, mine actually likes me."
My eyes landed on Remington.
"Although I understand. He’s getting old."
Remington’s jaw dropped. "Are you calling me old?!"
I casually looked away. "Your words not mine."
Colt, who had been watching our argument with the patience of a man observing children fight over a toy, calmly joined in. "While I may not be as popular as you or my brother, at least I’ve already received a dozen marriage proposals from noble families."
I coughed. "I think what you’re receiving are business proposals."
Colt frowned. "Those are marriage proposals."
"Maybe their fathers are the ones sending them instead of their daughters."
"That’s not—"
"Did you receive a love letter?"
"..."
I smiled, feeling victorious but that only lasted a second when the twins exchanged a long, meaningful stare before standing simultaneously.
I took one step backward. "Why are you both standing?"
They didn’t answer as they started approaching me slowly.
I immediately pointed at them. "I was joking."
They kept coming.
"Guys?"
Still nothing.
"Gawain.... help me?"
The twins suddenly sped up.
"Catch her!"
I barely had time to react before Gawain stepped in front of me, throwing himself between us like a human shield.
"Get out of the way," Colt said calmly.
His voice was calm, but the veins on his forehead were practically announcing that he was about to commit a crime.
"Can’t do that," Gawain immediately answered.
"We’re just going to teach her a lesson, that’s all," Colt said with a sweet smile.
I immediately took another step backward. "You’re not my teacher."
Remington pointed at me, looking personally betrayed. "Did you even hear what this little devil has been saying to us?"
"Yeah," Gawain crossed his arms and stood his ground. "And I’m proud of her."
The twins stared at him in disbelief.
"Typical," Colt muttered. "Like brother, like sister."
Gawain didn’t miss a beat. "Typical. Like twins, like idiots."
I peeked over his shoulder and stuck my tongue out at them.
Remington’s eye twitched. "Let’s just kill these two."
"Try it," Gawain challenged.
"Gladly."
I stepped out from behind Gawain just enough to glare at them. "You think we’re scared of you two?"
Colt’s eyes immediately dropped to my feet. "Then why are you slowly inching towards the door?"
I glanced down and I was... in fact, inching towards the door.
"Scaredy-cat," Remington said smugly.
My pride took a direct hit.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Bring it on then."
The twins grinned in excitement.
Our Soul Weapons began forming almost simultaneously, the air around us shifting as we prepared to settle this like civilized people.
By civilized, I meant beating each other up.
Before anyone could make the first move, a knock came from the door.
"Blanca?"
Gavin’s voice came from the other side.
"Are those three giving you a hard time in there?"
All three of us looked towards the door.
We looked at each other and with a thought forming on my mind, I grinned like a devil.
Before either twin could say anything, I immediately bolted for the door.
"Stop her!" Colt shouted.
Remington lunged after me but I was one step ahead as I grabbed the handle, pulled the door open, and immediately put on my most pitiful expression.
"Dad."
"Dad?" Gavin froze. "You called me Dad?"
I nodded weakly.
His expression immediately changed as he hurried over to me. "What’s wrong?"
"The twins are bullying me," I said as I pointed accusingly behind me.
Gavin looked inside to see Colt and Remington stood frozen with their Soul Weapons still half-formed.
Remington’s mouth dropped open. "You little—"
I immediately hid behind Gavin and grabbed onto his clothes. "Dad, they’re threatening me again."
Gavin turned toward the twins with a glare. "Isn’t Gawain the only one supposed to be causing trouble in here?"
"But, Uncle—" Remington started.
"Don’t ’Uncle’ me." Gavin shook his head in disappointment. "Look at what you two did to Blanca. You made her cry."
I lowered my face and did my best to look as pitiful as possible but inside, I was dangerously close to laughing.
The twins immediately pointed their Soul Weapons at me.
"Uncle, she’s the one who started—" Colt tried to explain.
"Enough." Gavin pointed toward the door. "I want both of you out of this room."
Colt and Remington stared at him in disbelief before they looked at me.
The moment our eyes met, I gave them the tiniest, most shameless grin I could manage.
"Look, Uncle! She’s acting!" Remington shouted.
"RIGHT NOW."
The twins gritted their teeth.
"Unbelievable," Colt muttered.
"She’s manipulating you!" Remington complained.
"And it’s working," I whispered proudly.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
The twins reluctantly started walking towards the door and as they passed me, I casually stuck my leg out.
Colt tripped first as Remington stumbled over him, nearly crashing into each other.
I immediately threw myself forward and landed dramatically on the floor. "Dad..."
Gavin carefully carried me to the bed as he disappointedly looked at the twins.
The twins stared at me in absolute disbelief.
"She tripped us!" Colt shouted.
"She did that on purpose!" Remington added.
Gavin sighed. "Gawain."
Gawain, who had been watching the entire scene from the side with an amused grin, straightened. "Yes?"
"Chase these two out."
Gawain’s grin widened. "My absolute pleasure."
"UNCLE!"
Gawain reached behind his coat and pulled out a small remote making the twins immediately went pale.
Click
Several mechanical panels opened along the walls as two similar weapons began sliding out.
"Say hello to my little friend," Gawain raised his remote proudly. "Twinminator X-1000. A weapon especially designed for you two."
The twins stared at the massive weapon system.
Colt slowly lowered his Soul Weapon. "Remington..."
"Yeah?"
"Run."
They bolted.
"GET BACK HERE!" Gawain shouted as the weapons locked onto them.
The twins screamed as they sprinted down the hallway.
"UNCLE! THIS ISN’T FAIR!"
"SHE JUST GOT HERE AND SHE ALREADY GETS TO DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS?!"
Gawain chased after them, laughing like a man who had been waiting his entire life for this exact opportunity.
I peeked out from the bed.
The hallway was quickly filled with explosions, shouting, and the sound of three grown men destroying what was probably an expensive part of the mansion.
Gavin calmly pulled the blanket over me and tucked it around my shoulders.
"What about your mates?" he asked. "Do you still have the energy to face them, or should I tell them you’re tired?"
’Fuck. I forgot about my mates.’
I immediately looked at him.
’Wait. He knows? Did Gawain tell him?’
Gavin noticed my expression and smiled faintly. "Yes, I already know."
I froze.
"And no, Gawain didn’t tell me." He sat beside the bed and gently adjusted the blanket. "I did my own digging."
I stared at him. ’How much did he know?’
"And I’m sorry if it feels like this is the only time I’ve reached out for you."
Gavin sighed quietly.
"I was scared that if I tried to take you back from your so-called father, Lyndon would do anything he could to destroy this place."
He lowered his gaze for a moment.
"I could only do this much."
There was no bitterness in his voice, only regret as he looked back at me.
"But now that I know about your mates..."
His expression became a little more relaxed.
"I’m sure they’re more than capable of protecting you."
’So other Dad actually knew.’
For some reason, that made my chest feel strangely warm but another thought immediately followed.
"Dad."
"Yes?"
"How much digging did you do?"
Gavin smiled. "Enough."
"That answer is terrifying."
"I know."
I stared at him suspiciously. "Did you dig into Soren?"
"Yes."
"Vesphyr?"
"Yes."
"Kayden?"
"Yes."
I swallowed. "And... did you dig into me?"
I didn’t need to." He reached over and gently patted my head. "You’re my daughter."
