Chapter 175: Chapter 173

"Dad..."

"Yes, dear?"

"Thanks. Even though you acted like a stalker."

Gavin chuckled. "I prefer to call it thorough parenting."

"That sounds exactly like something a stalker would say."

He laughed and shook his head. "Since you’re still energetic, I’m going to call your mates."

"Dad!"

I quickly sat up but Gavin was already walking towards the door.

"Wait! Dad, hold on!"

He opened the door.

"Maybe I need to rest a little more!"

"You just called me a stalker and insulted my parenting skills. You have plenty of energy."

"That has nothing to do with my physical condition!"

Gavin simply smiled. "I’ll send them in."

"DAD!"

He stepped outside.

I scrambled out of bed and rushed toward the door, but before I could reach it, Gavin calmly closed it behind him.

Click.

I stared at the closed door before slowly pressing my forehead against it.

"Traitor..."

From the other side, I heard Gavin’s amused voice.

"I heard that."

I immediately stepped away from the door. "I said nothing!"

"You definitely said something."

I covered my face with both hands. ’I should have just pretended to sleep!’

A few seconds later, I heard footsteps approaching from the hallway.

"Blanca?" Soren’s voice came through the door.

I kept quiet.

"May we come in?" Vesphyr asked.

I even stopped breathing.

"Blanca, I know you already know we’re your mates. Your father told us," Kayden added last.

I stared hard at the door. ’I am going to kill you, other Dad.’

From farther down the hallway, Gavin’s voice called out cheerfully, "Good luck, dear."

I groaned and with no other choice, opened the door but the moment I did, Vesphyr immediately lunged forward.

His arms wrapped around me, all nine of his tails followed, instantly coiling around my body as we both lost our balance and crashed onto the floor.

"It’s been so long since I hugged you like this," he murmured happily, nuzzling against my neck.

’It has barely even a week the last time we met each other!’

"Vesphyr—" I barely managed to get his name out before his weight suddenly disappeared.

"Let go!" Vesphyr whined.

I looked up to see Soren standing over us, holding Vesphyr by the collar.

He lifted him off me with the same expression someone might have while removing an annoying stray cat from their house.

"Move."

"You’re already holding me," Vesphyr said as he dangled helplessly from Soren’s grip.

"You’re suffocating her."

"I was hugging her."

"You were crushing her."

"I was expressing my affection."

"You were expressing it with your entire body weight."

Before I could say anything, Kayden calmly crouched down and picked me up.

"Come on."

"Huh?"

He carried me as if I weighed nothing and placed me carefully back onto the bed.

"Thank you," I can only say stiffly.

I was still trying to figure out how I was supposed to act around him, especially after finding out that he was apparently one of my mates.

He seemed to notice my stiff expression.

"It’s okay," a faint smile appeared on his face. "We’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other."

"Right."

I wasn’t sure why, but hearing him say that somehow made me even more nervous.

Soren, who had already settled beside me, casually ran his fingers through my hair. "So, when will the wedding be?"

I nearly choked on air. "W-Wedding?"

Instead of hearing wedding bells, all I could hear were warning bells.

My entire body went rigid as I slowly turned to look at him.

Soren continued stroking my hair as if he had just asked about the weather. "Yes."

"W-What wedding?"

"Our wedding."

I stared at him. "W-Whose wedding?"

Soren looked at me like the answer should have been obvious. "Ours."

Before I could recover, Vesphyr appeared on my other side and gently took my hand.

"You decide when."

He then rubbed his cheek against my hand without the slightest hint of shame.

"Although, we would prefer it sooner rather than later."

"W-Wait." I laughed nervously. "Isn’t this a bit fast?"

"No," Kayden said next who was sitting near my legs.

’When did we skip several hundred steps?’

"You just met me."

"Yes."

"And you’re already talking about marriage?"

"Yes."

"That’s fast."

Kayden tilted his head. "I don’t think so."

I stared at the three of them.

Soren was still playing with my hair, Vesphyr was still cuddling my hand, and Kayden was sitting at the foot of my bed like an obedient puppy.

’I didn’t know having mates was going to be this terrifying.’

"Shouldn’t we at least get to know each other first?"

The three of them paused and for a moment, they actually looked like they were considering my suggestion. Then, as if they had somehow reached the exact same conclusion, all three shook their heads at the same time.

"We can do that after the wedding," Soren said with a smile.

I stared at him in horror. "That is not how dating works!"

Vesphyr nodded seriously. "Then we can date during the wedding."

"That makes even less sense!"

Kayden, who had been quietly listening from the foot of the bed, raised his hand slightly. "I have a suggestion."

I looked at him hopefully. "Please be normal."

"We could have three separate weddings."

"And why would that make anything better?"

"Because then none of us has to compromise."

I slowly pulled my hand away from Vesphyr, pulled my head away from Soren’s hand, then slowly backed away from them but before I could even maintain a distance, they pulled me again trapping me back in bed.

"Why are you moving away?" Kayden said although I could sense danger in it.

"Because you three are not helping!"

"What help do you need?" Soren asked.

"Do you need money?" Vesphyr asked.

"A land?" Soren added.

Kayden tilted his head. "Do you have a problem disposing of a body?"

The three of them looked at me as if they genuinely couldn’t understand what was wrong with their suggestions.

"This is too much to take!" I finally cried.

I already had more than enough problems to deal with.

My family was cursed to transmigrate in every generation. My real parents had been murdered. Someone was after my life. I had three mates who were apparently eager to marry me.

And to make matters worse, I wasn’t even ready to be in a relationship.

’I had barely figured out what was happening in my life. How was I supposed to plan three weddings?!’

It just exhausts the hell out of me.

Vesphyr leaned closer, his voice dropping into a soft whisper against my ear. "You’ll be saying that when we’re having our honeymoon soon."

My eyes widened. "Honeymoon?!"

I immediately tried to get up. "No, no, no, no—let me go!"

Soren caught me around the waist before I could escape, while Vesphyr held onto my arm.

"Calm down," Soren said, clearly amused.

"I am calm!"

"You’re trying to escape."

"Because you’re terrifying me!"

Kayden reached over and gently pushed me back onto the bed. "We’re not trying to scare you."

I struggled against them again.

"Let me go!"

All three of them exchanged glances before tightening their hold.

I stared at them in horror. ’Oh, I’m doomed.’

From outside the room, Gavin’s voice suddenly called out.

"Everything all right in there?"

I immediately shouted back. "NO!"

There was a brief silence before he calmly replied, "Good luck, dear."

"DAD!"
