[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman
Chapter 64: Guild Crying Ghost Takes Over From Here
Kei looked at Kang Ian’s indifferent expression, unable to contain his frustration, and glared at him while questioning:
"Are you really going to just stand here and watch? If you have the ability, why don’t you go in and save people?"
"Watching is also a way of gathering information. Besides, interfering in another Guild’s ongoing Dungeon raid is against the law."
Kang Ian replied in a flat tone, as if what lay before them wasn’t a trembling Dungeon but just an ordinary morning.
Kei was about to retort when a flash of white light suddenly appeared right beside the two of them.
Ular, Yudian, and Hanna fell to the ground like heavy sandbags.
Hanna looked around blankly. When she realized she was outside the Dungeon, her legs instantly went weak and she collapsed to the ground. Tears burst out as she instinctively hugged Ular and began sobbing uncontrollably.
"We... we really survived..."
"Ah... Waaah... I thought... I thought I was done for! Dad... Mom... Waaah..."
Hanna’s entire face was covered in tears.
Ular was also panting heavily with excited eyes, but still had enough composure to support Hanna, who was trembling with fear. Yudian lay sprawled on his back on the ground, eyes tightly shut. His face, usually perpetually tense, now showed nothing but relief.
"We made it out... This is unbelievable!"
Ular quickly spotted Kei and Kang Ian standing in a standoff to one side. His eyes lit up, and he immediately ran over, wanting to thank Kei right away.
"Kei! Why are you here!?"
He was just spreading his arms to hug Kei when Kang Ian stepped across and blocked between the two of them like a statue.
Kang Ian frowned.
"If you have something to say, say it. Hugging people at the slightest moment, where’s the decency in that?"
Ular stopped short and swallowed. He didn’t dare argue with this SS-rank hunter, only quietly looked past Kang Ian’s shoulder toward Kei.
"Thank you."
Kei was slightly taken aback.
"What are you thanking me for?"
"Thanks to your ring, we were able to escape the Dungeon. Without it, we would have..."
Ular bowed his head deeply.
"Kei, if it weren’t for you, all of us would have died in there."
Before Kei could even ask what had happened, more flashes of white light appeared around them one after another.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Groups of hunters fell onto the ground. Some clutched their teammates tightly, some laughed and cried at the same time, some knelt down, repeatedly thanking the heavens for still being alive.
The sound of sobbing quickly spread across the area in front of the Dungeon gate.
Kei watched the scene, his hand unconsciously clenching.
The ring he had crafted was only a low-tier item. He had never thought it would one day save so many people.
Thankfully... Thankfully Kei had created an item capable of teleporting hunters out of the Dungeon.
But the joy of survival didn’t last long.
Boom!
The Dungeon gate shook violently.
The ground beneath everyone’s feet trembled. Cracks spread out from the gate, and the layer of reddish-purple light covering the outside began to churn like a storm.
The gate slowly widened.
Not opening like an ordinary door, but being torn apart to both sides. The black rift inside swelled little by little, devouring the surrounding light, and it was gradually growing larger.
Yudian pushed himself up from the ground. He stared fixedly at the deforming gate and let out a dry, bitter laugh.
"The Dungeon is bursting."
No one spoke.
Yudian lowered his head, his voice hoarse.
"We truly lost. I’m sorry for putting everyone in danger, and in the end, we still lost."
Kang Ian walked over to his side and asked casually:
"Does Guild Black Rose still want to continue fighting?"
Yudian looked up at Kang Ian.
Kang Ian maintained his indifferent expression, but his cold platinum eyes were observing everyone’s reactions.
"If you still want to fight to the end, Guild Crying Ghost will not intervene. We will not break the law by interfering with your Guild Raid."
Yudian was silent for a long time.
Behind him were wounded hunters, people who had narrowly escaped death moments ago. Some positions in the formation were permanently left empty. They had lost too many people in this Dungeon.
And an SS-rank Boss was something the hunters of Guild Black Rose could not overcome.
Finally, Yudian lowered his head.
"We have lost and suffered too many casualties."
He clenched his fist, his voice carrying bitterness but no longer avoiding his own failure.
"Please, Guild Crying Ghost, help us. We admit defeat and will retreat from this Dungeon."
Kang Ian’s eyes flickered. The corner of his mouth curled slightly, a smile so faint it was almost nonexistent. Kang Ian was satisfied that everything was going exactly according to the plan he had wanted.
"Alright."
He turned around and looked toward the gate slowly opening wide.
"From now on, this place will be taken over by the Guild Crying Ghost."
Kang Ian raised his hand and spoke softly:
"Moon So Yeon!"
The space behind him instantly tore apart into a pale blue vortex. Strong winds burst out, sweeping up dust, rocks, and the hems of the coats of those standing nearby.
The members of Guild Black Rose all turned to look in that direction.
A teleportation door appeared in the faint light.
Moon So Yeon stepped out from within. Her silver hair fluttered in the wind, her calm blue eyes swept across the Dungeon gate before stopping on the injured hunters of Guild Black Rose.
She felt fortunate seeing that they were still okay, at least most of them had managed to keep their lives.
Right behind her, members of Guild Crying Ghost stepped out one by one.
The large team quickly formed into ranks, weapons at the ready. The chaotic atmosphere in front of the Dungeon gate instantly changed.
This was the difference between a B-rank Guild and an SS-rank Guild capable of handling even catastrophic SSS-level Dungeons!
Kei looked at Kang Ian, then at Moon So Yeon. Lately, he had encountered so many high-rank hunters that Kei was no longer all that surprised when he saw them.
Guild Black Rose had failed. And Guild Crying Ghost, from this moment on, officially stepped onto the battlefield in place of Guild Black Rose.
Inside the wide-open gate, a massive roar echoed.
The ground trembled.
Kang Ian raised his head, his voice calm to the point of being chilling.
"Prepare for battle."
