Chapter 63: The Escape in Despair

Yudian stood up using his sword for support. He pulled Hanna up, then ran forward together with Ular.

Only a few steps remained.

A loud crash suddenly rang out.

The ground ahead split open. Rocks from both sides of the cave walls grew out, stacking on top of each other at a terrifying speed, completely sealing the exit.

The way back disappeared right before their eyes.

The air turned ice cold.

Lee Jae Ji ran over, punching the stone wall hard with both hands.

In the red-purple darkness, the white wolf opened its jaws and roared. A pale golden light flooded the entire cave, and Guild Black Rose once again raised their weapons, preparing to face death.

At that moment, Ular’s mind suddenly became strangely clear.

Amid the roar that shook the entire cave and the chaotic gasps of the survivors, his gaze instinctively drifted down to the space ring on his hand.

Kei’s words echoed in his head once again.

"Take this ring into the Dungeon, and perhaps you’ll receive something you could never have imagined."

Ular clenched his fist.

In this damn situation, what was the one thing a hunter desired most?

Not money, loot, or fame.

But a path to survival!

Ular immediately turned and grabbed the sleeves of Yudian and Hanna standing beside him.

"Has anyone ever bought rings crafted by the Craftsman at Mama Kim’s shop?"

His voice rang out amid the atmosphere of despair.

Many hunters stared at him in confusion.

In their eyes, Ular’s words were no different from delirium. A sane person could not possibly tell everyone to destroy a valuable item like a space ring at this moment.

Could Ular have gone mad?

"Follow Ular. And if you all don’t trust Ular, then..."

Yudian sheathed the sword at his waist and stood in front of both Ular and Hanna.

"We’ll do it ourselves first!"

With that said, Yudian grabbed the hand wearing Ular’s ring.

The F-rank space ring shattered under the force of Yudian’s grip.

A flash of white light burst out immediately.

Ular, Yudian, and Hanna standing next to each other simultaneously vanished right before everyone’s eyes in the blink of an instant.

There was no strange explosion. Only a few broken metal fragments remained, falling onto the cold stone floor, the remnants of the space ring that Yudian had just crushed.

The entire Guild Black Rose was frozen in shock.

The Guild Master and the other two had disappeared right before their eyes.No matter where they ended up, as long as they escaped this damned cave, they would have a chance to live!

A second later, astonished screams erupted.

"My ring is the same!"

"I have one too! I bought it at Mrs. Kim’s shop two days ago!"

"Smash it! Hurry up!"

The survivors frantically clung to their teammates beside them. Some grabbed their comrades’ hands, some dragged the wounded, and some even tried to reach out toward teammates who hadn’t made it over yet.

The monster let out a furious roar.

A wounded hunter screamed in despair as his teammate let go of his hand. The person beside him immediately grabbed his wrist, and the two smashed their ring together.

The white light engulfed both of them.

Within just a few breaths, the once-crowded formation of the Black Rose Guild had dwindled by more than half.

Those who remained quickly followed suit. No one cared anymore how precious those rings were. When death loomed right before their eyes, no matter how valuable an item was, it couldn’t compare to their lives.

In the end, only the crazed roars of the White Wolf Boss echoed through the cave, along with the shattered ring fragments scattered across the ground.

The Black Rose Guild had vanished from the Dungeon.

But no one knew where they had been taken.

The White Wolf Boss lowered its head to look at the metal fragments at its feet, then slowly raised its gaze.

Its golden eyes pierced through the darkness, fixed on the sealed exit.

A low, deep growl rumbled forth, radiating immense fury, the prey right before it had somehow escaped!
