Kang Ian stepped out of the cloud of dust and debris.

His coat was torn in several places, and his always-neat black hair was now tousled by the wind. The fragments of stone floating around him slowly fell to the ground, but his platinum-colored eyes remained locked on Kai’s half-human, half-dragon form and the small figure of Kei standing beside him.

Kai immediately bared his teeth, his wings spreading wide in a display of caution.

"You still dare to step forward? I spared you just now!"

"What are you talking about?" Kei quickly grabbed Kai’s arm covered in black scales. "Stop it, Kai."

"But he bit your cheek! He’s despicable!"

Kai pointed at the red bite mark on Kei’s cheek, his expression so furious that the two horns on his head trembled, almost about to stand straight up.

"I’ll handle that with Kang Ian myself. Don’t fight anymore, the whole area around here is about to be completely destroyed!"

"No. I have to bite him back, that bastard human..."

"Don’t bite anyone! You’re not a dog!"

Kei pulled hard on Kai’s arm, forcing him to obediently back down. The black dragon was still sulking, but when he saw the serious look on Kei’s face, he reluctantly folded his wings back.

Kei patted his arm gently.

"Kai has to stay here obediently and wait for me to come back, okay?"

Kai blinked his eyes.

"Kei...Where are you going? Stay here with me!"

Kei called his name softly.

"Today’s matter should end here."

Kang Ian raised an eyebrow.

"Are you giving me orders?"

"No. I’m seriously suggesting you don’t make things any more complicated."

Kei pointed at the surroundings.

"The Crying Ghost Guild headquarters has been almost completely destroyed. If you two keep fighting, probably this whole street won’t have anything left. I don’t want to see anyone else get hurt, and I don’t want to be held responsible for this pile of ruins."

Even though the two big Guilds had a lot of money, the ordinary people living here had already suffered a great deal of damage, their lives would be turned upside down.

Kang Ian pouted as he spoke, the angry one should have been him, not that stupid dragon, yet Kei was the one yelling at him.

Kang Ian stared at Kei for a long time, then narrowed his eyes slightly.
