Chapter 337: Wrath

It’s just that before he could even think of any solution to help, the Judge’s next movements start to infuriate him.

When the latter noticed that No. 444’s strength was on par in his past, he began giving an endless mission to the man. He didn’t know what the Judge’s planning but seeing the grim reaper become extremely busy fighting that he didn’t even have time anymore to go back in his room to rest gave him frustration.

He doesn’t care how high the Judge’s status is but he couldn’t understand why he wanted to treat Ah Si like a warrior weapon that only knew how to kill endlessly. He doesn’t even have time anymore to send souls because the judge only wanted him to be away and work like this.

Hatred grew in He Li’s eyes. Why? After so long, why is he still treated like this?

Why did the Judge disregard everything that he did? Why did he want to take advantage of him all the time? Just because he’s just a grim reaper, does he have to use his authority to treat the man like this?

Is this why he listened to No. 22? He gave the man a chance to be reborn because he’s useful this way?

Why?

For those humans?

For those souls whose greed wouldn’t stop? To give them a chance again and again? He unexpectedly found the hatred deep inside him again. It seemed like it never disappeared but just hidden away. Now that things started to magnify again, the hatred woke up.

If... If only they disappear.

If only there were no longer humans, Ah Si’s responsibility would stop.

Why does he have to do this endlessly? Why can’t he stop? Can’t anyone see that he was getting exhausted? Can’t anyone see that the grim reaper they always known for his strength was just acting up because of his responsibility?

Did they even care for him? Did they even think about him? Did they even ask him to take a rest? Did they even regard him as theirs? Why? Why do they keep on using him? Why do they keep on pushing him to the edge?

He Li massaged his temples as he felt the stinging pain on his head. After recovering his memories, Yin’s feelings also rooted inside his heart.

The care for Ah Si... and the hatred that stayed for the world.

He didn’t forget what happened in the past. Those memories and mistakes stayed inside him but for the man’s sake, he buried it inside him. Yet how could he stop it from resurfacing again when he felt that those feelings are true?

When will Ah Si have a life for him?

As if to answer his worry, he saw No. 444 in front of the Judge and spoke the words that no one expected.

"I want to become a human."

He was stunned. The man’s face shows determination and firmness in his choice.

A human? Does that mean Ah Si is finally willing to let go of this responsibility to start anew? Does that mean he will have a new life of his own? He Li’s eyes brightened as he thought of those words and the possible future for the grim reaper.

If he really gave up this identity, then no one will no longer use him. There will be no one who will dictate the life that he wants to choose and he can be free to do everything!

Ah Si’s choice this time is definitely the right choice!

"A new fate will start again. Until the next time, Qin An..."

"...."

"??!!!"

But the moment he heard that name, a cold bucket of ice water was ruthlessly splashed on his face, making him remember the present that he forgot.

Qin An, how could he forget the present?!

How could he forget that in the present, Ah Si is a grim reaper again?!

"No... didn’t he choose to become a human? Then why did he become a grim reaper again?!" He was now overwhelmed with emotions. The happiness after that choice disappeared like a bubble because he remembers everything!

Qin An is a grim reaper in a human body! Which meant that he really did become an ordinary human yet somehow just became what he was!

He Li’s eyes sharpened. He remembered. That time when he confronted the young man on why he stole an ancient sphere in the museum. That happened so fast when the latter’s body underwent major changes. Qin An was hospitalized and when he went back, he confessed his identity to him!

Since the latter didn’t hide, it meant that he didn’t have any intention to hide it in the first place. Which also meant that he only became a grim reaper after that night! That night when he had the key to open the underworld and became a grim reaper again!

No, this is not the right way! This is not how it should be!

Ah Si should be given a complete ordinary life! He should be away from everything that connects in this world, then why did the Judge send him in that world? Did he not fulfill his promise? No, Qin An became a human, but isn’t this too much?

This is unfair. Wasn’t the whole life he had not enough to be free from responsibilities? Why? Why does it have to be him?!

He Li could feel the tightening on his chest. A rush of suffocation in his heart pained him but that only magnified the hatred he’s feeling.

It’s their fault. It’s this world’s fault that he could not be freed! It’s the Judge’s fault for taking away his promise and using him again. It’s all human’s fault that Qin An has to sacrifice himself again!

Destroy it.

Those two words were like whispered in his ears that successfully bewitched him. His eyes completely turned cold and the pupils turned into crimson red.

Since there is no way to stop them from using Ah Si, then he will just destroy them.
