They were silent. Shen Zhi and Su Jinxi felt even more helpless and frustrated because clearly, they have the qualification to help but just didn’t know how to.

Zhi Anming on the other hand listened to their words and became firm to his decision. "I’ll explain soon!" He interrupted Ji Wen. "Don’t move away from me." He warned them and instead of counterattacking, he just moved the golden circle and surrounded them for protection.

"We have to find Senior Qin!"

He’s still a junior grim reaper and has no strength comparable to others so he knows that there’s just a small limit of what he can hold to protect everyone. They must find Senior immediately for safety!

"What about the Marshal—"

"I can’t defeat him! He’s dangerous!"

Shen Zhi’s face changes. "What do you mean? Weren’t he just attacked by the spirits?!"

His face turned solemn and shook his head. "No. Those were not simply just resentments. There’s something else inside his body."

"Then we need to find him!"

"Ginkgo," he remembered. "Qin An once said that the ginkgo tree can help you." He turned to Su Jinxi and Shen Zhi. "Even if there might just be a little help, we must have it!"

The two might not even gather energy and they didn’t even know how but as long as there’s a single percent of possibility, they have to take risks no matter what the cause.

Now while they’re searching for it, he could only earnestly hope that the Marshal and Qin An will be alright because he really couldn’t imagine if something might happen to any one of them.

Because it’s not only they can’t afford it but neither those two can surely be alright.

Ji Wen has always been with He Li’s side. He knew the man and understood his feelings. It was always restrained and hidden yet when they saw Qin An vomited and disappeared, the last struggle on the man also snapped.

He didn’t know Qin An’s feelings but he knew that the Marshal was important to him too.

They need each other, so neither must not be hurt.
