Chapter 351 - 349: The Gate Of The Underworld

"General, Qin An is here." Ji Wen announces on the intercom connected inside the mechas of all higher-ups for them to hear.

"Then protect him at all costs." He Zhen responded. "We must ensure that he will not be disturbed. No matter what, protect the federation!"

"Yes!" The voices from different intercom responded with the same determination.

"Go!"

After that, the sound of chaos of war officially ignited in this era. Thousands of soldiers met the zergs above, unleashing the weapons on their mechas. Soon, blood from different people and zergs mixed together and lives that meet death also increases.

While the chaos ignited above, the soldiers below quickly evacuated the people inside the stadium.

"Young Master!" Fu Minglei went to He Yan to assist them. "Come with me!"

"You all should go." Shen Lou looked at the young man on stage and refused to leave. "I will wait for him here."

"Young Master Shen, General Shen also instructed me to evacuate you and your friends away from this chaos." Fu Minglei was shocked at his words and quickly grabbed the young man’s arm in an attempt to pull him but Shen Lou shook his head.

"No." He insisted. "No one will be here to protect him!"

"Young master, we are here for him. There’s chaos here and it’s very dangerous. Please come with me!"

"No!" Shen Lou took back his arm, his gaze turned into firmness and determination. "There’s no one here that can protect him—"

"And you think you can?!" An angry voice interrupted him. They looked towards the direction and saw his sister Shen Zhi.

"Shen Lou, this is not a child’s play where you can decide what you want." Her cold gaze shot at him but he gritted his teeth.

He doesn’t want to stay behind all the time this time! He is from the Shen family!

Shen Lou didn’t speak but his eyes already answered them. The siblings look at each other for a second before she sighs lightly.

"Take them away."

His eyes widened in disbelief. "Shen Zhi—"

"Go take them to the laboratory and," She pointed at him. "Assist him to the ginkgo tree. Nan Xing is there."

She paused. "Then take him back here."

After that, she quickly went to her mecha and flew near the stage as if she was guarding Qin An closely.

On the other side, Qin An remains calm even with the chaos near him. His ears remained shut to the screams and noises from the battle as if he was too immersed in what he was doing. The formation underneath him continues to glow brightly, like a large light in this dark sky that has no star tonight.

The glass roof shattered above due to the increasing pressure of wind inside and the shattered glass wall fell down like a rain. Afterwards, a few zergs attempted to pass inside but failed from the soldiers’ protection. Shen Zhi was also near to protect the young man.

However even if it looks like the situation was in their control, the truth is they are worrying about something.

The pollution is too much. The zergs are high-levels and there’s even countless black shadows that creep nonstop to the soldiers. Those evil spirits trying to disrupt everyone’s mental strength. Due to that, their side is actually taking more damage. The number of people who have awakened their spiritual power is not enough to help. They are still at the beginning and they don’t have enough knowledge to control that power.

At this point, only Zhi Anming was their only support while waiting for Qin An.

"Sister!"

A voice called for Shen Zhi as she just finished killing a zerg on the side. She looked up and saw Shen Lou again which made her face change.

"What are you doing here?!" She let him leave but how could he dare to come back here for just more than an hour?!

She really allows him to come back only because she knows that the process of awakening his powers will take time. She doesn’t want her brother to mingle in this mess here and thought that he’ll have to rest to adjust his body from that power. Yet who would have thought that he will come back in a short time?!

She could even see his body was not in a perfect condition! He’s twitching a bit in pain! She hurriedly went out of his mecha and strode closer.

"Go back!"

"No!" But the young man was truly determined. "Sister, I don’t want to run away from my responsibility anymore. Please let me." His eyes met hers. The same eyes that met hers when he firstly announced his determination to be an idol, ready to turn his back from everything that the Shen family could give him.

Shen Zhi felt like she was now lost in words. There’s nothing to escape from her lips anymore. But just like how she nodded in the past, she also yielded this time.

"Very well. Shen Lou, you are a member of our Shen family. Never doubt yourself." She patted her brother’s head. "You can do whatever you want."

He nodded. "I will."

Shen Lou felt like his body was getting too exhausted. He doesn’t know how many times he swings his weapon while also channeling his spiritual power to the soldiers. His mind was now blank and he felt like any minute from now, his body could no longer take this damage. After his power was awakened, he only endured it for a short period before forcing Fu Minglei to take him back.

He doesn’t want to waste any time to help everyone because now, he can do it. No matter how he’s enduring great pain inside his whole body.

He can taste the blood on his lips and he already coughs some earlier. Inside the cockpit on his mecha, the scent was full of blood of his own. His arms trembled but he could only grit his teeth to hold on.

How much time had passed? Time blurs in this war and only death becomes clearer. He could see the souls of the soldiers around them and they were quickly besieged by the evil spirits which made him grit in hatred. Even after death, their soldiers keep on sacrificing!

When will this pass?!

A moment of distraction flashes in his eyes while thinking about his family. It was only a second yet it caused his trouble because a high-level zerg with an evil spirit launched an attack at him.

Shen Lou was quickly thrown away and his back was slammed into the wall. He groans in pain and the mecha starts flashing red to warn him about the damages on the weapon.

But not yet. As long as he can still breathe, he will never give up!

Shen Lou swallows the blood on his mouth and forces his body to stand again. However, given that his strength was not fine and he has been exhausting the new spiritual energy in his body, right now, exhaustion has already drowned him. His body trembles and he couldn’t help but slip down. The mecha also forcefully shut down and he was thrown out as he could no longer use his mental power.

Shen Lou coughs in blood again. His fist clenched and he gritted his teeth. He was pulling himself to lean his body on the wall as the enemies grew active upon seeing him battered.

He wanted to counterattack yet in the next second, a powerful force of energy swept from the magic formation under Qin An and it heavily attacked the enemies around him. He turned his head weakly towards the stage and saw a scene that he will never forget.

Qin An finally stops dancing. He raised his sword and struck the tip heavily on the center of the formation. The runes on the sword flashed and a golden energy was also struck down. A bright light suddenly erupted and engulfed the young man for a few seconds before the runes on the formation started floating in the air.

It gradually forms into a structure and solidifies once the shape takes its place.

And in the next second, an enormous gate filled with a majestic atmosphere appeared above the huge formation.

The gate of the underworld is finally here.
