Chapter 76: Chapter 76: One Week Until Forever

Henry smiled to himself, quietly repeating the words, "My husband."

A bigger smile spread across his face as he rolled from side to side on the bed, completely giddy over the way the words sounded.

A few minutes later, Elisha stepped out of the walk-in closet holding a fresh two-piece set of comfortable loungewear. He walked over to the bed with a warm smile. "Alright, pretty. Get up and change into this."

Henry stretched his hands out from beneath the covers, and Elisha handed him the clothes. Henry slowly sat up and slipped into the soft outfit Elisha had picked out for him, while Elisha quickly changed into a matching casual set of his own.

Once they were both dressed, Elisha sat down on the edge of the mattress and looked over at him. "Do you want to go downstairs, or maybe go out? I can drive you anywhere you want to go right now."

Henry shook his head and leaned comfortably against the headboard. "No, baby. I just want to stay in and enjoy our snacks when they get here."

"Alright, baby," Elisha murmured, climbing onto the bed and settling beside him. He wrapped an arm around Henry’s shoulders and pulled him closer before looking down at him. "Tell me... is there anything I do that you’d want me to stop? Anything you don’t like?"

Henry blinked, tilting his head as he considered the question. "Yes. There’s one thing."

"Okay," Elisha said, giving him his full attention. "I’m listening."

"Can you stop waking me up so early in the morning after you’re already awake? It’s really disturbing and annoying."

Elisha chuckle and pressed a soft kiss to his temple. "No, pretty. It’s romantic. What if I need you? I know you hate being disturbed, but sometimes, around five or six in the morning, I just need you to fulfill your husbandly duties and satisfy me."

Henry let out an exaggerated sigh. "What if I’m tired?"

"Then just tell me you’re tired, and I’ll understand," Elisha replied smoothly, smiling down at him. "You don’t have to push me away or glare at me when I try to wake you."

Henry smiled, his expression softening. "Alright, babe. I’ll adjust."

Elisha laughed softly, resting his chin on his hand. "I asked you to tell me what you don’t like, but somehow, it always turns into a negotiation. Or maybe we should just say we both have to compromise." He tapped Henry’s nose playfully. "Alright, tell me more. What else?"

Before Henry could answer, a sharp, polite knock sounded at the bedroom door.

"Sir? Your delivery is here," the housekeeper called from outside.

"Alright, I’m coming," Elisha replied.

He climbed out of bed and walked over to the door. When he opened it, the housekeeper was standing in the hallway with the delivery bag in her hands. She handed it to Elisha with a polite bow. "This is for you, sir."

"Thank you," Elisha replied.

The housekeeper nodded and turned away. Elisha stepped back inside, shut the door securely behind him, and carried the delivery bag over to the small sitting table in their room.

Henry immediately got up and joined him. As soon as he settled down, he eagerly dug into the snacks, taking a bite before encouraging Elisha to try some too. Although Elisha wasn’t usually a fan of overly sweet things, he happily indulged him, feeding Henry a strawberry and sharing a warm laugh.

They spent the rest of the day enjoying each other’s company, listening to one another, sharing stories, and discovering new sides of each other. By the time evening came, the day had passed in the easiest and happiest way.

The next morning, they officially sent out their wedding invitations to their friends. Later that day, Raphael called Henry to let him know that he had received his invitation. During their conversation, he casually mentioned that his boyfriend would be in town, so they would be arriving together.

Henry smiled. "Alright. See you both then."

After the invitations were sent, the wedding preparations continued smoothly. Soon, their respective families sent over the traditional prenuptial marriage documents, formal agreements stating that neither of them could walk away from the marriage without the mutual consent of both families.

Although Elisha and Henry were already deeply in love and fully committed to each other, their families still wanted them to sign the agreements as part of the traditional process of formalizing their marriage. Neither of them objected, and they willingly signed the documents, officially sealing their commitment to the marriage.

With the wedding preparations nearly complete, the days seemed to pass quickly. Before they knew it, only one week remained until their wedding.

Elisha couldn’t stop counting down the days. He paced around the room, groaning dramatically as he turned to Henry. "Why are the days suddenly dragging when our wedding is literally right around the corner?"

Henry laughed and shook his head. "Don’t ask me, heartbeat. I’m just as eager as you are!"

They both laughed, enjoying the excitement of knowing they would soon be husband and husband.

Later that afternoon, their peaceful time together was interrupted by an unexpected visit.

Elisha and Henry were relaxing on the living room couch, watching a movie, with Henry’s head resting comfortably in Elisha’s lap, when a sharp knock sounded at the front door.

A moment later, the housekeeper appeared in the living room and approached them. "Sir, there are some people at the door asking to see you."

Elisha looked down at Henry. "Sit up for a second, pretty," he murmured.

Henry lifted his head and sat upright as Elisha stood from the couch. He walked toward the entrance, curious about who had come to see him.

When he reached the front door, he opened it, and his face lit up with a welcoming smile at the sight of his university friends standing outside.

"Look who finally decided to show up," Elisha said with a laugh, stepping aside to let them in.

One of his friends grinned as he walked inside. "Well, look at the soon-to-be groom."
