Chapter 210: 210: TO LEAVE.

The atmosphere grew tense.

Jason staggered backward at the sight of Nyx losing control. The others quickly followed suit as they remembered that this was the same state Nyx had been in when he had nearly killed them back then.

None of them was confident enough to go up against a madman who could potentially kill them right there and then.

"You... Get out of here, you psychopath!" Evelyn snapped.

Nyx remained on his knees, his eyes glowing golden as golden flames swirled around him. The sight only frightened them further, causing them to retreat several steps.

Meanwhile, Nyx found himself slowly disassociating from reality as he desperately struggled to pull himself back. He fought to maintain control over his body and whatever was happening to him, trying his hardest not to lose himself and allow something else to take over.

But it was all in vain.

The harder he tried to fight it, the deeper he seemed to sink. The energy continued consuming him, and with every passing moment, he felt himself losing his sanity.

"Argh..." Nyx pressed a hand against his chest, struggling to breathe as he fought his inner demons to maintain control. His eyes blazed with golden flames, growing brighter as the energy within him continued to spiral out of control.

The Elite Five didn’t dare approach him. Instead, they kept backing away, desperately looking for a way to escape the scene.

Just then, the door burst open.

When they turned to look, they were surprised to see June rushing into the room.

June had been searching everywhere for Nyx, and he had finally found him here. After hearing the commotion coming from the hall, he had rushed inside without permission, fearing that someone might be bullying Nyx.

But the moment he entered, he was met with a shocking scene.

His gaze immediately fell on Nyx, who appeared to be on the verge of relapsing. He then looked up at Jason and the others, who stood frozen in place, staring at him.

None of them moved.

June didn’t hesitate, either. He rushed to Nyx’s side, dropped to his knees, and pulled him close.

Closing his eyes, June immediately began attempting to calm Nyx down and guide him back to his senses. He held Nyx’s hand, desperately trying to connect his energy with Nyx’s and blend the two into a seamless connection.

But Nyx’s energy was far too unstable, making it difficult to establish a proper connection. Even so, June refused to give up. He pushed himself further, struggling to break through Nyx’s chaotic energy, even at the expense of his own.

After several attempts, he finally managed to break through and force his way deeper until he reached Nyx.

"It’s okay... I’m here..." he murmured, pulling Nyx into a warm, reassuring embrace.

He held him tightly, pouring his energy into guiding him back to his senses.

It took a while, but Nyx gradually began to calm down. The golden flames surrounding him slowly disappeared, and his eyes returned to their normal color.

The moment his energy finally stabilized, Nyx lost consciousness, collapsing into June’s arms.

It was over.

June had successfully prevented Nyx from fully relapsing, but the effort came at a cost. He suddenly coughed up a little blood, his chest aching as he pressed a hand against it.

He coughed again, finally realizing just how badly he had strained himself while forcibly guiding Nyx back from his berserk state.

This only confirmed what he had feared: Nyx’s condition was getting worse.

The other side of Nyx was growing stronger, and pulling him back from the brink in situations like this was becoming increasingly difficult. What had once required less effort now demanded far more energy from June.

And that extra energy was taking a serious toll on him.

After clearing his throat and struggling to steady his breathing, June tightened his hold on Nyx and looked up, meeting the gazes of the Elite Five.

They were staring at him as though they had just witnessed some kind of miracle.

June had no intention of speaking to them. He didn’t even have the strength to deal with them right now. All he wanted was to get Nyx out of there and take him to the hospital or somewhere he could receive proper care.

That was far more important than anything else.

With the little strength he had left, June staggered to his feet. He was already exhausted from the guiding, which had taken far more out of him than he had anticipated. Still, he managed to pull Nyx up against him, preparing to carry him away.

But before he could leave, Jason immediately stepped forward and blocked his path.

"And where do you think you’re going?" he demanded.

June fell silent for a moment before looking up at him coldly.

"I’ll take him away, so get out of my sight. I don’t feel like looking at your pathetic face right now," he said firmly.

Jason smiled as Karen stepped forward.

"Your dear lover trespassed into our territory and decided to act all cocky. And now you want to take him away and simply leave?" Karen demanded.

June stared at him with an icy expression.

"What else are we supposed to do? Stay for a tea party?"

Jason scoffed. "No... Something far more interesting than a tea party, of course."

He wore a mischievous smile as he spoke, and June immediately disliked the sound of it.

"What the hell do you want now?" June asked impatiently.

Jason smiled. "Nothing much. I was just wondering... What would happen if, for some strange reason, the two of you suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth and were never seen again?"

He stared directly at June, his smile growing more sinister.

"That would be an interesting turn of events, don’t you think?"

June maintained his cold expression, refusing to show any fear.

"What an interesting plan you have there. Kidnapping us and sending us somewhere mysterious..." He tilted his head slightly. "How do you plan to pull that off without getting caught? I’m genuinely curious now."

Jason chuckled.

"If you’re curious, then I guess we’ll just have to make it happen."

He paused, his expression turning serious.

"I’ve already had enough trouble in this academy, and I think it’s time we put an end to all these problems and worry about the consequences later."

A malicious smirk crept across his face as he glanced at the unconscious Nyx in June’s arms.

"Besides, he was the one who came into our territory asking for a beating. So it wouldn’t be right to let him leave just like that, would it?"

June could only stare at him, his expression growing colder by the second.

He absolutely hated where this was heading.
