"Get out of my sight," June said firmly, staring at the two of them. "I don’t have time for this."

Jason scoffed. "Your dear Esper is down. So what do you plan on doing now? It’s not like a basic Guide like you can do anything without him."

Karen stared at him before adding, "You’re nothing without your little Esper, so face the consequences of having a lover who’s a little too cold."

June sighed, slowly closing his eyes before opening them again. He stared at the four of them, his gaze moving between their faces as he held their eyes for a few moments.

"I’m warning you for the last time..." he said calmly. "Let me go, unless..."

"And what are you going to do?" Jason demanded, stepping forward. "Cry?"

But June’s gaze settled on him last, and a faint smile appeared on his face.

"You’d wish I did that..."

Immediately, his eyes flashed as he caught all four of them under his spell.

Within seconds, the four of them had fallen under June’s control. His smile widened as he stared at them.

"You should have stopped when I asked nicely."

Nyx groaned in pain as he shifted restlessly. Slowly, he opened his eyes and looked around, gradually realizing where he was.

"What am I doing...?"

He struggled to sit up in the hospital bed, turning his head to look around. June was standing by the table in the hospital room, preparing a drink.

"You’re awake?" June asked with a smile as he poured some of the drink into a cup. He then turned toward Nyx and approached him. "Here, drink this. It’s good for your body."

Nyx stared at him in confusion as he sat up properly. He looked around the VIP hospital room, wondering how he had gotten there and why June was with him.

He searched his memories, trying to recall what had happened. The last thing he remembered was being in the Elite Five’s lair. Then he had gotten furious and, apparently, blacked out.

Suddenly, Nyx grew worried. What if he had done something terrible while he was out of control?

What if he had killed someone?

He swallowed nervously before looking at June.

"I didn’t do it, right?"

June raised an eyebrow. "Do what?" he asked with a warm smile.

Nyx awkwardly cleared his throat. "I didn’t kill anyone... right?"

June hesitated for a moment before smiling. "Why are you making yourself sound like a murderer or something? Why would you do that?"

Nyx lowered his head and let out a sigh of relief.

"That’s good..."

They sat quietly for a while as June watched him. Feeling sorry for him, he gently reached out and ran a hand through his hair.

"How... How did I get here?" Nyx asked, looking at him in confusion. "I was... I mean, I was... How?"

June smiled. "Of course I went looking for you. I found you, and now here you are."

Nyx blinked at him. "But how did you... find me? I’m sure I was..." He trailed off, unable to finish his sentence.

June sighed. "You were with those annoying five—or four, or whatever they are." He shook his head before setting the cup down on the table.

"Did they hurt you? Did they do anything to you?" Nyx asked worriedly.

But June only smiled. "Don’t worry about it. They couldn’t hurt me even if they wanted to. How could they possibly harm someone like me?"

He grinned at Nyx, looking rather pleased with himself.

"So... what did you do to them? Did you... beat them up?" Nyx asked curiously.

June smiled. "I wish I were physically strong enough to do that." He shook his head. "Unfortunately, I’m not, so I had to use my usual trick."

Nyx stared at him. "What did you do, then?"

June smiled mysteriously. "Get your phone and check the trending topics on the school forum. You’ll get a better idea of what I did."

"..."

Nyx was confused, but he nodded and reached for his phone on the table. He opened the school forum and checked the trending topics. The moment he saw what was there, he went completely speechless.

The Elite Five were trending—or, more specifically, the four of them.

Videos of the three males, Jason, Karen, and Luther, had surfaced, showing them running around the school in nothing but their boxers. The embarrassing footage was already circulating everywhere, with the three of them running around like madmen while vandalizing school property.

Meanwhile, Evelyn had gone live on her social media account that same night, performing some of the most ridiculous and embarrassing dances known to mankind while humiliating herself in front of thousands of viewers.

And they had apparently continued their antics throughout the night, behaving wildly and embarrassing themselves until daybreak.

The videos had gone viral across the academy, with students discussing them both online and offline. They had already amassed millions of views and were even attracting attention beyond the school.

It was a devastating blow to their reputations, and Nyx was certain it would take them ages to recover from the humiliation, if they ever managed to recover at all.

He stared at the videos in disbelief, blinking several times as he tried to process what he was seeing.

"Is this real...?"

June smiled proudly. "Of course it is. I made sure of that. And this morning, they were found sleeping outside the school in their boxers, so..." He shrugged. "No one’s going to doubt the authenticity of those videos."

Nyx was left speechless as he stared at June.

"This is..."

June grinned. "No need to ask. I have my ways. I’m not just any Guide, you know." He winked at him.

Nyx bit his lower lip, his expression growing worried.

"What if they come after you...?"

June smiled casually. "We’ve been enemies since day one, so it doesn’t make much difference now. Don’t worry about me. Just drink this." He handed the cup to Nyx. "You need to regain your strength so we can plan our second date."

Nyx hesitated, staring at June’s smiling face.

At that moment, a wave of guilt washed over him. He slowly lowered his gaze, his fingers tightening around the phone as he struggled to find the right words.

"I’m sorry..." he muttered.

June blinked, staring at him in confusion. "Sorry? Sorry for what?"

Nyx sighed, hesitating for a moment before finally answering.

"I didn’t prove it to you..."

June stared at him as silence settled between them.
