Chapter 403: I Challenge You!

  • Next Chapter

’It still didn’t feel right. I can only create very small things with Forge, and honestly, those creations are very weak.

’They only create a tiny bit of damage, and when I use Anchor, it uses all of my stamina and strength.

’When Devon used them, he did it with much less effort, like it was something casual that he did, and I am nowhere close to learning Void yet.’

Fang Raon wrote on the notebook, and then he tapped his chin with his pen, thinking about what to do.

Swoosh~!

He sensed something behind him. It was a disturbance in the air. It was as if something was flying towards his head.

"Hmm?"

Fang Raon moved his hand behind his head and grabbed something—then moved it in front of his face.

It was a knife.

Crack~!

Fang Raon used Maxima and broke the knife in two, and then he turned his body around—looking towards the forest.

Then, somebody jumped out of the trees—dressed in black—he wasn’t Rubius or Joshua, because they both were dead.

"Dying Rampage!"

Hermann shouted and swung his daggers, like they were extensions of his arms—it was as if he was a velociraptor slashing with its claws.

Fang Raon drew his sword and effortlessly parried the strikes with just one hand holding the blade—his other hand was just dangling beside his body.

It was like he wasn’t even trying.

Clang~! Clang~! Clang~!

"You aren’t even going to say hi? Attacking right away, how rude."

Fang Raon said with a smile on his face, and Hermann just scoffed, as if he wasn’t in the mood for jokes.

"I am an assassin. Sneak attacks are my specialty. You have fallen into my trap, and you don’t even know it yet!"

"Then you are not a very good assassin. What kind of assassin reveals his trap?"

Fang Raon parried his dagger, and at that moment, he lunged and swung the black blade through Hermann’s neck.

Hermann’s head rolled onto the ground, and his body collapsed to the floor.

But then, it disappeared.

’A fake.’

Fang Raon thought.

He already had a feeling that it was fake because he couldn’t sense any kind of living presence from it.

It was like he was fighting a ghost.

At that moment.

The leaves rustled in the trees, and then, dozens of figures in black jumped out of the trees—blackening the sky.

More of Hermann’s.

"Forge."

Small spears appeared around Fang Raon, and then he waved his hands, and they flew towards the figures.

Stab! Stab! Stab! Stab! Stab!

The spears shredded through the figures, and they all collapsed to the ground in a heap of twisted limbs and torn fabric.

"I AM NOT ALONE!"

Hermann’s voice echoed from the forest, and at that moment, more and more people walked out of the treeline.

This time around.

They all didn’t look like Hermann—some weren’t dressed in black, but either in Ranger’s or Mage’s outfits—and some were even different gender, different heights, et cetera.

Then.

Hermann walked out of the treeline, with a smirk on his face, and then he took out his mask—revealing his blond hair.

"It looks like you didn’t come here alone."

Fang Raon said.

They were a guild—it looked like they hunted players in a pack—and Hermann must be their scout.

"We’re Xtreme Guild. I am the guild leader, Herbert. If you give us all your items and the money you’ve collected, we will spare you."

Herbert said.

He was a big-boned individual—wearing Tank armor—and he was also a decently tall man with long brown hair, and because of its length, he had to tie it back in a ponytail to keep it out of his face.

"I am part of Rose Records. This can be considered an act of war, did you not know that? Are you sure you want to go this route?"

Fang Raon asked.

"Haha, we are not scared. We are the 50th-ranked guild in the Global Guild Rankings, and we are in alliance with several other guilds that are residing within the top 100.

"And last time I checked, isn’t Rose Records all alone?"

Herbert asked with a smirk.

’Well, that isn’t exactly true. I can always ask for help from Anna’s guild, and that should be more than enough to take care of them.

’However, I think I should be fine to do this alone.’

Fang Raon smiled, and then he drew his swords and moved into a fighting stance—with his sword moved in front of his face.

"Kill him!"

Herbert ordered.

[LadyBelle: This is dangerous! Shouldn’t you run away?!]

[Pacco: You are going against a party of ten. They have Tanks, Warriors, Helpers, Rangers, Mages, and Assassins—they are very prepared to go against anybody!]

[Viewers: 5,677]

The view count was just going up, but his viewers didn’t feel like odds were in his favor.

Yet.

Fang Raon was not afraid.

The arrows shot out of the Ranger’s bow, and Fang Raon weaved through them effortlessly—they just grazed past his arms and head.

"Onslaught!"

Warrior came charging and swung his long-shafted axe at him, like it was a halberd and not just any axe.

"100kg!"

Fang Raon stopped the axe effortlessly.

"1kg!"

He ran past the axe and thrust the blade towards the Warrior’s waist and stabbed through his waist!

"Urgh!"

Warrior coughed blood, but then he suddenly felt warm, as the Helper of the group cast a healing spell.

"Heal and Strength Buff!"

The Helper swung her healing staff, and the same buff was applied to every single member of the party.

"Weakness Buff!"

She pointed the staff at Fang Raon, and he suddenly started to feel dizzy, as if he had suddenly gotten sick.

Most players, who had been hit by Weakness Buff, always described it as the same as being hit by a terrible flu.

’This feels... horrible...’

Fang Raon jumped backwards, but he felt weak, and he really didn’t want to keep fighting and instead just wanted to find a bed to sleep all day.

"Intimidation!"

Herbert slammed his sword against his heavy-looking shield, and Fang Raon was hit by the Intimidation spell.

He couldn’t move.

In that moment, everyone attacked him.

"Magic Missile Extremus!"

The Mage waved his wand, and the powerful spell shot out towards Fang Raon.

"Death From Above!"

A Ranger pointed the bow towards the sky, then released an arrow, and it soon multiplied into a hundred arrows.

"Shadow Dagger Flight!"

Hermann crossed his arms, and then daggers appeared between every finger of his, and then he threw them all at once towards Fang Raon.

The chat was moving quickly. Back at home, they all thought it was over. Fang Raon was going to die!

"Haha..."

But then, Fang Raon let out a dry chuckle, and his body started trembling, as if he was fighting against Intimidation!

The intimidation spell started cracking, and at that moment, it completely shattered—he broke through the spell with nothing but his willpower!

"ANCHOR!"

Fang Raon spread his arms wide, like he was opening his wings, and everything came to a halt.

The arrows, shadow daggers, and even the magic missile stopped right before hitting him—as if they were simply frozen in time.

"Thank you... I think I’ve finally mastered Anchor. I realized what I was missing. It was confidence.

"I was never confident enough to stop the attacks, as at the back of my head, I always had fear that it was going to fail and I was going to get hit.

"That wouldn’t fly.

"But now, I tossed all the fear away, and behold, it worked perfectly, so thank you; I appreciate it."

Fang Raon said with a smile.

"Kill him already!"

Herbert screamed, but in that moment, Fang Raon pointed his hand towards him—a small smile playing on his lips.

"I Challenge You!"

Herbert frowned, but at that moment, his friends and the forest around him started disappearing—like they had all turned into mist.

He appeared in some black void, but there was a single spotlight shining down on him, but he wasn’t quite sure what it was.

It definitely wasn’t the sun.

"Where... am I?"

"This is Fight Dimension."

Fang Raon said with a smile on his face, and then Herbert noticed that he was also here—it was just the two of them.

"How did you bring me here? You are just a Warrior. You don’t have spatial teleporting powers, and especially not something as powerful as this!"

"Well, this is... My Innate Skill—I Challenge You—with it I can send myself and somebody else into a separate Fight Dimension.

"We can only leave this place once one of us is dead—therefore, you can’t request help from your friends."

Fang Raon said with a smile.

Herbert’s eyes turned really serious, as he had never heard about this kind of Innate Skill before—it sounded crazy.

"T-that doesn’t matter. I am not scared of you. I am the guild master of Xtreme, a proud guild that is the 50th-ranked guild in the world.

"I can handle some lackey!"

Herbert screamed.

"Then, good luck."

Fang Raon chuckled.

At the sky of the Fight Dimension, his camera was recording it all—it also came with them to the dimension.
