Chapter 433: Dinner With Mother-In-Law

Megaworld Apartment, 100th Floor, the Apartment.

"Raon, are you ready?"

Chaewon was looking at herself through a mirror. She was wearing a pretty red dress. It had a slit that went all the way up to her thigh, showing off her long legs and matching red heels.

She put on earrings that looked like rubies.

"Yes." Fang Raon left his room and came downstairs, suited up in a black suit. "This suit is a little tight. I think I’ve put up more muscles."

It had been about a week since they moved to the 100th floor. Their new apartment was much nicer. It had two floors even.

Everyone would have their own rooms, but they were all still sleeping in the same bed, hugging each other to sleep.

Since they didn’t use the other rooms, everyone just put their own Virtual Reality Pod Xs in different rooms and used the extra space for storage and lounging.

At that moment, Della came out of the bedroom. She was wearing a silver-black dress with a skirt that reached her knees, black leggings, and black boots with silver buckles.

The blond hair of hers had grown slightly. It had already reached her shoulders. She also had a pair of silver earrings on.

"How do I look?" She asked of Raon with a shy smile. "Do I look good enough?"

"You look beautiful," Fang Raon said with an honest smile.

Della responded with a smile. She then grabbed her purse from the table. Chaewon finished tidying herself up in the mirror.

"I think we are good to go."

Chaewon said, and then she hooked arms with Fang Raon. Della did the same. They then left the apartment.

The 100th floor was nice.

Fang Raon felt like he had come a long way.

Unlike the 18th floor, with trash, beer bottles, and homeless people, the 100th floor was very clean and upscale.

The floor was made of marble tiles. There were pots of plants adorning the floor, like a garden in the sky.

Higher quality stores. Higher quality restaurants. Higher quality everything.

With the two girls hooking arms with Fang Raon, it did attract quite a bit of attention from other people on the floor.

"That lucky bastard..." the men thought when they looked at Fang Raon because the two girls were the most beautiful women they had ever seen.

On the other hand, the women on the floor couldn’t look away from Fang Raon. He had grown quite handsome.

With his tall and athletic build and piercing blue eyes, he was ridiculously handsome. The black suit couldn’t hide the explosive body underneath.

Instead of staying on the 100th floor, they went to the elevator and pressed on the button. It was a button that was close to the 100th button.

98th-floor button.

The elevator descended, and shortly later, the door opened, and they walked out. A short moment later, they arrived in front of a door.

Chaewon pressed on the doorbell.

A few seconds later, the door opened, and a gentle-looking woman opened the door. She had brown hair with a gentle face, and the purple dress of hers hugged a body that didn’t belong to a woman of her age.

She looked like she could be in her early twenties. Around Chaewon’s age, honestly. Yet, she was actually twice as old.

"Mom." Chaewon smiled and hugged Yerin.

Song Yerin hugged her precious daughter with a smile on her face. She then separated from the hug and saw the other two people.

"Mother-in-law," Fang Raon said and also hugged her. "Thanks for inviting us."

"Of course," Yerin giggled. "I needed to make sure that you are properly taking care of my precious daughter."

She then left the hug and looked at Della. It was their first time meeting each other. It felt, honestly, weird to her.

It was pretty surprising to hear that Fang Raon wasn’t only dating her daughter. He was also dating somebody else.

She was mad at first, but then Chaewon convinced her that it was fine, as it was apparently her choice.

"It’s nice to meet you," Della said with a bright smile, and she curtsied. "My name is Della Rose."

"Oh my," Yerin covered her mouth and also gave her a hug. "You are very pretty. I didn’t think there was anybody as pretty as my daughter."

"Y-y-you flatter me."

Della’s cheeks turned pink. She didn’t expect to get hugged like this. It was fine, though, as the hug was really warm.

"Please, come in!"

Song Yerin let everyone in her room, and she then closed the door, and they saw that there was a proper meal set on the table.

It was ambient and cozy, with soft music playing in the background. Lights were off, and only the candles illuminated the room.

It honestly felt very romantic.

They sat down. They smelled the delicious aroma wafting from the food. It was Yerin’s homemade spaghetti bolognese.

"I am sure all of you are hungry," Song Yerin clapped her hands together and then prayed. "Let’s eat."

They took food from the ceramic dishes and filled their plates. The silverware then clinked as they began to dig in.

After a few bites, Song Yerin wiped her lips with a napkin, and she then looked at Della with curiosity.

"Tell me, Della. Where are you from?"

"I am from Woodlands," Della said. "Generations of Rose’s has lived there all of their lives."

"That’s a long way away," Yerin said with a surprised look. "Your family really let you move halfway across the world to live in with Raon?"

"Yes," Della wryly smiled. "Honestly, it came to me as surprise that my father allowed it. He is usually very strict."

"It’s not like they can’t ever meet. Black Online is amazing because it doesn’t matter where you live. You can always meet your family.

"Don’t you meet your mother once in a month, Della?"

Chaewon asked.

"Yes, I do."

Della said with a smile.

However, she had never met her father ever since she left. He did visit Black Online every now and then. Never to meet her, though.

As if she didn’t exist.

"That’s true. Speaking of Black Online, it’s quite scary what Virtual Reality Pod X is capable of doing. A friend of mine’s brother tried to rob a convenience store over at the 64th floor.

"It was before the news came out. He must’ve thought that he was some kind of one-of-a-kind superhuman because he suddenly got much stronger than a normal human.

"Of course, his strength couldn’t stop a bullet..."

Yerin said with a deep sigh, but she then shook her head, as she didn’t want to ruin the dinner with such nasty stories.

"Fang Raon," she looked at him with a serious look. "Keep my daughter and Della save. You’re the man of the house."

"I will."

Fang Raon said.

It sounded obvious to him. Of course he was going to do that. And he was going to keep getting stronger just for that.

"Do you want some wine?" Yerin asked of everyone with a smile. "I have some wine over at the cupboard. I’ll go get some."

She stood up and headed for the kitchen.

"Are you ready for tomorrow, Raon?" Della asked. "You haven’t participated in a Grinder’s Day before, but it can get quite crazy."

"I am ready."

Fang Raon said.

It was a pretty hectic day over at the 50th floor in Black Online. Guilds from all over the tower were gathering there.

It wasn’t far-fetched to say that every guild in the top 100 Global Guild Rankings had gathered there.

"Be careful, the two of you," Chaewon said. "I heard that there have been entire guilds that had been destroyed during Grinder’s Day."

"That’s true," Della said with a serious look on her face. "Everyone sends their strongest players, so if they die, that guild is most likely to fall apart."

That would most likely happen to Rose Records if they all died. They send their first line, and without them, Rose Records wasn’t that strong.

Then, Yerin came with a bottle of wine. She poured everyone a drink. And they all toasted before taking a sip.

"Raon..." Yerin looked at him with a sharp look. "When are you making it official with these two lovely ladies? I don’t see a ring in their fingers yet."

Della and Chaewon coughed on their wine drinks.

"Mom!" Chaewon rolled her eyes in embarrassment. "I knew you shouldn’t have drank wine. You can’t handle it at all!"

"Nonsense," Yerin flicked her brown hair back. "I-I can handle it perfectly."

It was a total lie!

Fang Raon chuckled, and then he put his hand inside his pocket, and he took out two black cube-looking things.

They were soft.

"What’s that?" Della asked.

"Oh my," Yerin smiled with amusement, and she opened them. "Very nice... I am actually getting jealous now."

They held one ring each. A beautiful ring with a sparkling diamond on top. However, they were of different colors.

Della’s ring was red. Chaewon’s was blue.

"Ah..."

Chaewon and Della looked surprised. They thought they were so beautiful. And then happy smiles spread across their faces.

"Will you let me marry your daughter?" Fang Raon asked of Yerin. "Might as well ask now."
