Once he had entered, he turned around and closed the entrance from within, leaving the two women standing outside.

Aveline and Xialyn remained where they were, gazing at the now-closed entrance. Knowing that they wouldn’t be able to see Veyron for the next three months left them feeling strangely uncomfortable.

Of the two, Aveline would undoubtedly miss him the most. After all, their bond had reached 100%, becoming an eternal bond, and her feelings for him had grown deeper than ever.

The thought of being separated from him for three whole months made her feel reluctant to leave. She wished she could spend more time with him, but she also understood that this period of cultivation was essential for his growth.

As much as she would miss him, she knew better than to let her feelings get in the way of his progress.

Veyron was finally getting the opportunity to change his fate, and she would never do anything to hinder him.

Instead, she would support him with everything she had and patiently wait for the day he emerged from seclusion.

....

Inside the Immortal Cave, Veyron sat down in a lotus position.

Once he had settled comfortably, he took out the box Grand Elder Eleanor had given him and placed it before him.

The interior wasn’t the luxurious structure one might expect from an Immortal Cave. It was, quite literally, the inside of a cave.

The rocky walls and ceiling retained their natural appearance, though the floor had been flattened to provide cultivators with a comfortable place to sit and practice their cultivation.

The cave was dimly lit by several Spirit Lamps that cast a soft glow across the surroundings. It wasn’t that cultivators needed light to cultivate, as they could easily do so in complete darkness.

The lamps were there purely for appearance and personal preference. Some cultivators preferred keeping them lit, while others chose to extinguish them entirely.

Veyron decided to leave the lamps as they were and focused on his primary purpose. He then took out all his Grade Three Spirit Pills and placed them inside the box.

[You currently have twenty-eight Grade Three Spirit Pills. With this many, you can refine your Spirit Energy multiple times and establish a much stronger foundation. You really did get lucky.]

Veyron smiled and asked, "How much of a difference would it have made if I had only twenty?"

[Hmm... Not much. You could still have refined your Spirit Energy with only twenty pills, but you would have needed to put in more effort. Now that you have more than enough, you won’t have to work quite as hard.]

Veyron was surprised for a moment before understanding the System’s reasoning. It hadn’t told him to purchase more pills because he could still achieve his goal with twenty.

Since he had six thousand Bond Points remaining, he could have bought more if he truly needed them.

[Exactly. I didn’t want you to waste your Bond Points unnecessarily. You could make up for the smaller number of pills by putting in more effort.]

[However, I wouldn’t recommend relying on this approach every time. The resources required to reach the Spirit Adept Realm from your current level are already considerable, even with your Celestial Spirit Core.]

"I see."

With that, Veyron shifted his attention toward cultivation.

He focused on his cultivation technique, the Shadowmoon Cultivation Art. Although it was primarily designed for cultivators who possessed Shadow Element Spirit Energy, it was still an Earth Rank cultivation technique, making it highly effective even when used to cultivate ordinary Spirit Energy.

Veyron gradually calmed his mind and entered a meditative state. Before long, the surrounding Spirit Energy began to stir, slowly gathering around him before circulating in gentle currents.

The Spirit Energy moved in circles around his body, gradually flowing toward his lower abdomen, just below his navel, where his Spirit Core was located.

A faint glow appeared in that area as his Celestial Spirit Core began absorbing the surrounding Spirit Energy.

Veyron carefully guided the energy through his cultivation technique, absorbing it little by little while maintaining complete control over its flow.

Once everything was in place, he picked up a Grade Three Spirit Pill and placed it in his mouth.

Contrary to what some might expect, Spirit Pills didn’t simply provide cultivators with large amounts of Spirit Energy to absorb directly.

Their primary purpose was to assist the cultivation process, helping cultivators refine their Spirit Energy more efficiently and overcome the difficulties associated with breaking through to higher ranks and realms.

Without such pills, refining Spirit Energy to the required level of purity would demand considerably more time and effort. They helped smooth the process, allowing cultivators to strengthen their foundations and make breakthroughs more effectively.

Spirit Energy itself was naturally present in the environment and could also be obtained from Spirit Stones, which stored this energy for cultivators to absorb.

This was precisely why Veyron would still need three months to reach the Spirit Adept Realm, despite possessing a Celestial Spirit Core.

His extraordinary Spirit Core could absorb and refine Spirit Energy far more efficiently than ordinary Spirit Cores, but it couldn’t overcome the limitations of the surrounding environment entirely.

The Spirit Energy available in this world simply wasn’t dense or pure enough to satisfy his needs for rapid cultivation.

As a result, even with his exceptional talent and the assistance of Grade Three Spirit Pills, he would still need time to accumulate, refine, and stabilize enough Spirit Energy to achieve his breakthrough.

With that, Veyron began his extended period of cultivation, and time passed swiftly. Before long, an entire day had gone by.

However, the sect was far from peaceful, as the incident involving Veyron and Jason had caused quite a stir among the disciples and elders.

The removal of Elder Beric from his position as Vice Leader of the Disciplinary Hall and his subsequent punishment of being sent to the Dark Prison had shocked many. After all, the prison was reserved for disciples and elders who had committed particularly heinous crimes.

By now, everyone in the sect knew about his crimes. Grand Elder Eleanor, the Leader of the Disciplinary Hall, had made sure that the truth reached everyone, from the outer disciples to the inner and core disciples, as well as the other elders.

Meanwhile, news of Veyron’s repaired Spirit Veins and his victory over Jason Ignis and his group had spread throughout the sect. Many who had once believed he would never cultivate again were now curious about his sudden recovery.

To make matters even more interesting, Veyron had entered closed-door cultivation for three months, intending to break through to the Spirit Adept Realm.

For an ordinary disciple, such an ambition might not have caused much of a commotion. However, this was Veyron Ignis, the nephew of Grand Elder Aveline, who had also caused trouble with the Ignis Clan.

With so much surrounding him, many couldn’t help wondering whether he would truly accomplish what seemed like an almost impossible feat.

No one knew how Veyron had managed to repair his crippled Spirit Veins. Most people assumed that Grand Elder Aveline must have obtained a high-grade treasure or a powerful Spirit Pill to help her nephew recover.

However, what truly interested everyone was what would happen when Veyron finally emerged from his three months of closed-door cultivation.
