Chapter 470: Chapter 268: Zhong Yi’s Creator Level

He Yan could use his Bloodline to manifest a special type of Bloodline Fire.

He used this Bloodline Fire to refine materials and create Elixir Pills.

Miao Kang could also use his Bloodline to manifest Bloodline Fire.

Although his Bloodline Fire was different from He Yan’s, the principle behind how they both concocted Potions was similar.

’If I can just become He Yan’s apprentice,’ he thought, ’my Abilities as a Creator will improve by leaps and bounds in no time.’

For Miao Kang, every minor increase in his Creator Tier wouldn’t just raise his status on the Virtual Source Network; it would also bring immense benefits to his world and his people.

He Yan put away the Desolate Beast Blood Crystal in his hand, preparing to give a few instructions before leaving.

Two years ago, the Wanyu Creation Company had undergone an internal reform.

Originally, the Creation Martial Arts Demonstration at the Creation Gathering was just a somewhat entertaining event for Creators to interact and compete with one another.

However, after this reform, the Creation Martial Arts Demonstration at the Creation Gathering would serve as the official ranking system for Creators of all Levels within the Wanyu Creation Company.

Third Level Creators, however, were not included in this ranking.

Third Level Creators were far too mysterious. They were the true sustainers and Guardians of this Ecological Realm.

They almost exclusively interacted with the patriarchs of great clans, those favored by the ecology itself.

They even had the opportunity to meet a Lord of Ecology directly and converse with them as an equal.

The only ones subject to the Creation Martial Arts Demonstration’s ranking were First and Second Level Creators.

Seventy First Level Creators and thirty Second Level Creators would be selected.

The Second Level Creators would be assigned sequence numbers 1 through 30, while the First Level Creators would be assigned numbers 31 through 100.

Not only did the Wanyu Creation Company place great importance on these 100 Creation Sequence positions, but even the Nine Great Ecosystems viewed the ranking as critical.

The final list of the Sequence would be presented to the Lords of Ecology of the Nine Great Ecosystems.

The function of a Creator was to facilitate the Bloodline Evolution of other Creatures, helping them break through their limitations and increase their power.

Creators not only held an extremely high status within the Virtual Source Network, but they also enjoyed a transcendent position in their own respective worlds.

This ranking of the 100 Sequence members was, in effect, a consolidation of the status and prestige of all Creators.

It concentrated the vast majority of the status and prestige of the entire Creator population onto these 100 individuals.

The goal of the Nine Great Ecosystems and the Wanyu Creation Company in making this decision was to foster greater competition among Creators.

This would prevent Creators from becoming complacent and stagnating after achieving significant prestige and status.

The gap between a Creator with a sequence number and a Creator of the same Level without one would become as vast as the difference between a Zhenxing C Level Talent and a regular C Level Talent.

If not for this, He Yan would have been unwilling to participate in the upcoming Creation Martial Arts Demonstration.

Otherwise, given his serious and meticulous nature, He Yan would never have decided to stop presiding over the assessment while serving as its chief examiner.

He Yan cleared his throat, preparing to give instructions to the First Level Creators serving as examiners.

Before He Yan could speak, a young man walked in.

On the Virtual Source Network, appearance and age could never be equated.

Many old monsters loved to take on the appearance of a young person.

Upon seeing the young man walking toward him, He Yan’s brow furrowed, and he let out a cold snort.

Only a dozen or so hours had passed since the Creator assessment began.

He Yan didn’t believe anyone could possibly complete the assessment in such a short time.

This assessment was significantly more difficult than previous ones.

Ever since the decision was made to establish the 1-100 Creation Sequence, the entry requirements for becoming a Creator had been steadily increasing.

’When someone takes the Creator assessment, even if they know they’re going to fail, they should still try their best.’

’To give up after just over half a day... that doesn’t fit the diligent spirit of a Creator at all.’

Noticing He Yan’s displeasure, Miao Kang quickly opened the list of participants for the current Creator assessment.

"Sir, his name is Zhong Yi."

"He came here with Director Song Zhixu from the Wanyu Source Material Company."

The list clearly stated that Zhong Yi’s power was only at the Second Level.

When Miao Kang first saw it, he thought he had misread it and hadn’t dared to mention it to He Yan.

As Zhong Yi walked over, he could tell something was wrong with the atmosphere.

Of the six Creators serving as examiners, the elderly man in the center was frowning at him.

It was the look an anorexic person might give a piece of moldy, rancid pork.

Zhong Yi instinctively glanced down at his clothes. They weren’t dirty or torn.

’There’s nothing impolite about the way I’m dressed.’

Just as Zhong Yi was about to speak, a middle-aged examiner with short, dark-green hair addressed him in a stern voice:

"The Creator assessment isn’t a game. You can’t just participate casually and then give up this quickly."

"If you haven’t achieved a single thing in this assessment, I will see to it that you’re added to the Wanyu Creation Company’s blacklist."

Miao Kang could see the displeasure in He Yan’s eyes, and he knew it was directed at the young man before them.

To curry favor with He Yan, the best thing Miao Kang could do at a time like this was to vent He Yan’s frustration for him.

At these words, Zhong Yi’s brows knitted together tightly.

’I just finished the assessment and came to get my Creator certification.’

’How did I end up getting lectured by an examiner the moment I arrived?’

Zhong Yi was no pushover; he wasn’t about to accept baseless accusations from anyone.
