Chapter 2623 - 2631: No Recording

Unfortunately, there’s no instance of twins being born in either the Black Family or the Carter Family; neither side has that gene.

The two of them spent more than two hours having hotpot at the restaurant before leaving discreetly through the back door.

But unexpectedly, Jane Sampson was still photographed by passersby and posted on Twitter when she got in the car.

This little thing of Jane eating hotpot even made her fans crazily rocket it onto trending topics.

When Jane got back to base after more than an hour and checked her mobile phone, she was dumbfounded to see #MonkeyKingJaneEatingHotpotTonight# trending.

Jane seriously wondered if someone had bought her a spot on the hot search.

How come she could get onto trending so easily while others couldn’t, just by going to have a low-key dinner?

"We got photographed by several people while having hotpot tonight," Jane said to James Black as he poured water for her, "I was already bundled up so well, and yet they still spotted me."

"Your fans’ eyes come with X-ray bone scan recognition capabilities," James Black rarely cracked a joke.

James Black noticed it at the time and glanced back, but those fans were just snapping photos with their mobiles. When they saw James looking over at them, they put their phones away.

Although they recognized her, they didn’t crowd around to ask for autographs or group photos, so James didn’t tell Jane. Overall, Jane’s current fans are pretty well-mannered.

"It’s going to be even easier to recognize me by summer," Jane Sampson said as she patted her own belly, "In five or six months, when my belly gets big, my fans might just start looking more closely at every pregnant woman wearing a mask and hat."

After mumbling, Jane sent a WhatsApp message to Bright Sampton, asking whether he had picked up Julie Sampton yet.

Bright responded quickly.

He called Jane right back.

"I’m just now heading to the airport; her flight was delayed by two hours because of the weather over there," Bright said.

"Got it," Jane hummed in acknowledgment, and after a moment of thought, she added, "By the time you pick her up, it’ll be pretty late. I’ll likely be resting by then. She’ll have been on a flight for over ten hours. Once you pick her up, make sure to take her to the hotel to rest first. If there’s anything to discuss, wait until the next day after she’s rested."

"Okay, got it," Bright Sampton also agreed that Jane was right; Julie would definitely want to head back to the hotel to rest after such a long flight.

Besides, it’ll be quite late by then.

After hanging up the call, Jane didn’t put away her phone but instead pestered James Black, asking him to repeat the sentence he said at dinner so she could record it.

"If you refuse to let me record, that means you’re guilty!" Jane clung to James, refusing to let go, "You’re such a scammer!"

"Not recording," James Black raised his eyebrows, placing his hands softly on the shoulder of the person clinging to his waist, gently and without pushing Jane away.

"Then I’m just going to cling to you, holding onto you like this without letting go. If I don’t sleep, neither can you. Let’s see if you’ll record it for me," Jane played rogue, hugging James’s waist tightly, "Nobody sleeps; tonight we fight until daybreak."

"No way," James laughed, "You’re pregnant, can’t go there."

Jane didn’t understand and hadn’t reacted yet when James added, "The doctor said it’s not allowed during this period."
