Asa Mitaka hadn’t expected Fami to be so fixated on how she addressed her, leaving her somewhat at a loss.

"Just don’t give in to her. Absolutely not," Yoru emphasized once again.

"God, you two are so annoying!"

Asa finally couldn’t take it anymore and simply ran off.

Fami watched Asa disappear into the distance but made no attempt to chase after her.

It turned out to be another sleepless night.

Kotone Asaba was put through quite an ordeal, in more ways than one.

He was practically treated like a human-sized stuffed toy, constantly being fought over. Reze claimed the left half of his body, while Makima claimed the right.

Setsuna was the most outrageous of them all, simply lying directly on top of Kotone. She seemed to be deliberately using this method to tease Makima.

But Makima couldn’t do anything about Setsuna. She knew perfectly well that she was weaker than Setsuna, which meant her Control ability wouldn’t work on her.

Even though he barely slept, Kotone still got up early in the morning.

He carefully pulled his arms free from the girls holding onto him, then gently tried to move Setsuna off his body.

But at that moment, Setsuna suddenly wrapped both arms around his neck, preventing him from pushing her away.

"Don’t even think about escaping~"

Left with no other choice, Kotone used phasing to slip free, finally managing to get out of bed.

He had tolerated her messing with him all night, but today he had serious business to handle. He had no intention of indulging her antics any longer.

Setsuna sat up as well and teased him with a smile. "I didn’t expect you to have such strong principles. You actually went the entire night without doing anything. I thought human men were all animals who only thought with what was between their legs?"

Kotone stared at her speechlessly.

Setsuna merely smiled faintly, neither confirming nor denying it.

"Anyway, I’m done arguing with you. I have things to do, so I’m leaving."

As soon as he finished speaking, Kotone teleported himself directly into Yuki Kirisu’s office.

Tokyo Public Safety had already resumed normal operations, and as usual, Yuki was sitting in her office.

The moment she saw Kotone suddenly appear, Yuki immediately stood up in excitement.

"Asaba! You’re finally here. What exactly happened back then?"

Yuki nodded.

She had no reason to doubt anything Kotone had just told her. The Death Devil’s arrival had to have been real, otherwise there was no explanation for destruction on such a horrifying scale.

As for allowing everyone to make their own choice, Yuki herself certainly didn’t have enough authority to make something like that happen. Her father, however, was a Cabinet minister and had considerable influence within Japan.

"But I’ll be upfront with you. There’s no guarantee this will work. Those old fossils in the Cabinet are always a pain to deal with."

Yuki made sure to warn him in advance.

Kotone merely smiled faintly.

"That’s fine. If any of them object, I’ll make sure they become very cooperative."
