Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 484 - 482:'Master… wait!'
Chapter 484: Chapter 482:“Master... wait!”
The whole place remained silent after my declaration as no one seemed ready to speak up.
Even the floored entourage of the still unaccounted-for young master had bitten down hard on their painful groans as they trembled like sheep before a wolf.
"Alright. Since nobody wants to volunteer, allow me to choose for myself." I lowered myself once more, intent on giving out another session of ’how to respect your progenitor’ when,
"Enough!" A cold and authoritative voice sounded from the deeper reaches of the vessel, accompanied by the soft sounds of footsteps.
"Finally deciding to show yourself, huh?" I smiled thinly as I ignored the voice, picking up another sorry fellow by his hair and then,
BANG!
Slammed him headfirst into the floor, cracking open his head like a watermelon as blood gushed forth.
"I told you to stop. Shall I take this as a sign of disrespect?" The woman, Lin Luo Yao, finally made her appearance as her delicate brows were furrowed.
Her entire posture gave off the expression of someone who had just now realized what was happening and had come out to act like an authority figure.
"Quite impressive, I might say." After all, she had successfully convinced everyone here that she was just arriving, but how could someone of her caliber not know about everything going on here?
I had already felt her gaze on me the moment we got on board. She had been privy to everything, and she must’ve been expecting this Lin whatever to actually do something, hence her lack of action.
Either that or the fact that she knew that whatever happened, I was bound to lose.
After all, this Lin whatever had some considerable backing. So if I touch him, I’d lose; if I don’t, I’d lose.
It was a lose-lose situation she had probably been glad to witness.
Unfortunately for her, though,
"Sorry, Lady Luo, I couldn’t hear you over the,"
BANG!!
The youth’s head slammed into the ground once again,
"Over the noise. I hope you can forgive me,"
I concluded, pulling the lackey up as his disfigured and dismembered face came into view, facing her directly.
"El..elder..hel..help."
Watching as her expression morphed from the usual indifferent one an overly self-indulgent elder would have, to one of absolute rage and fury, stirred some form of dark satisfaction within me as a manic grin began tugging slowly at the corners of my lips. But before it could fully form,
"Master... wait!" A voice cut into the rising tension as all eyes turned towards the person that had just spoken, and it was none other than...
"Hmmm... interesting."
...
...
Moments earlier.
Lin Tian stood silent as he watched the events unfolding between his master and that smiling demon he had locked eyes with back on Canglan.
Both he and his master had already been aware of the ongoing events since the first confrontation between the white-haired youth and the young master from the Lin family’s Tianque Domain branch family. Yet, for some reason, his master had allowed the confrontation to escalate.
It wasn’t until the guardian of the young master was killed by that bizarre ability that she had finally decided to show herself, yet even then....
His eyes landed on the white-haired young man that had treated his master’s words earlier as nothing but air.
He knew. Oh, Lin Tian knew just how powerful his master could be. He hadn’t spent the last three days being idle—no. He had been sparring with his master.
After all, if he was going to take advantage of the situation, then he was going to do so properly, but all he received was a rude awakening.
His master hadn’t even budged once during their sparring sessions, yet he had always lost to a single move from her.
She was overwhelming in a way he had never seen before.
Yet, here was that same woman, the one that had made him realize that there was always a sky above the sky, a mountain beyond mountains, that same overwhelming presence being treated like nothing but air.
His master wasn’t kind. No. Nobody that had gotten to her level of power would be a kind-natured person that took kindly to disrespect, and yet, all his master had done so far was talk.
TALK!! After watching a young master from her family get embarrassed and turned into abstract art, the most she had done so far was try to impose authority through talking.
"Damn it!" He cussed internally.
"Damn it all!!" His hands balled into fists so tight his knuckles whitened.
His gaze stayed locked onto the white-haired young man that still dared to smash the face of another youth from the group into the floor, the jarring thud not registering at all as he watched the white-haired young man raise the bloodied face up and grin at his master.
He was young. This white-haired young man was definitely younger than him. Yet here he stood, in a vessel belonging to the tyrannical Spirit Ascension Sect, a sect under the direct administration of the imperial Lin family.
He was dismantling an entourage of a Lin family young master, right before the eyes of a grand elder of the sect, and he could still smile and act like he owned the damn place.
"Power..." Yes. This was the leverage power granted.
He, Lin Tian, didn’t know how powerful the white-haired young man was, but one thing he knew was that the youth was powerful enough to shrug away his master’s aura like it didn’t exist.
"Soon..." Soon. It won’t be long now. Once he gets into the sect, he would use their resources to make sure he unlocked his bloodline to its maximum and bring his martial spirit to its truest potential.
Maybe.. just maybe then, he could be as wanton as this white-haired youth and then go get his wo—
"Boy!!" The grim voice of the old soul residing within his consciousness snapped him out of his thoughts instantly as Lin Tian’s gaze turned inward.
"Senior, what’s wrong?" He asked, feeling the trembling tone in the senior’s voice.
"If you do not wish for you and everyone within this vessel to perish in the next instant, I suggest you prevent your foolish master from saying another word, or worse, dare to release her aura," the soul apparition warned grimly, as he tried to stifle the trembling in his voice, all an act done in vain as the trembling tone was more than clear.
"Senior, did you sense something? What—"
"BOY!!! WE DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR YOUR QUESTIONS!!! Just do as I asked you to... NOW!!!"
Lin Tian no longer bothered with any more questions the moment he heard the urgency in his senior’s voice.
His attention snapped towards his master as he saw her get ready to unleash her aura. It seemed she had finally gotten tired of acting meek before the white-haired youth as she finally decided to act.
Yet, a strange feeling of unease arose from within him the moment he saw that, as he immediately opened his mouth and then,
"Master... wait!" he called out, stopping his master from her actions.
He could feel the eyes of the entire audience fall upon him as he suddenly became the center of attention. Yet, before he could continue his words,
SHAAAAA!!!!!
A cold and dreadful chill shot up his spine once more as his body began trembling.
He was familiar with this type of chill, as slowly, robotically, his head turned as he locked eyes with the white-haired youth once more.
The smile was still there. Not an ounce of killing intent was being radiated from the white-haired youth, as only mild amusement and curiosity could be seen in those bizarre eyes of his.
Yet all Lin Tian could feel from that gaze was an uncontrollable fear. His body was rooted to the spot as even the thought of retreating from this white-haired monster in human flesh didn’t dare sprout in his head.
So he did the only thing he could as he tried to speak, yet before he could so much as open his mouth,
HUMMMM!!!
He froze.
Not just him. Everything around him—his master, the crowd, the ship, even the space outside, everything...
.....FROZE!
