Chapter 483: Chapter 481:“Who would like to go next?”

I could feel the dumbfounded shock running through the others around me as they just stared, incredulous at the words that had just come out of the mouth of the young man.

"This... are these people all this irrational and foolish?" Nyssara seemed to have had just about enough bullshit.

"How can you just walk up to someone, call them out, and then demand they kneel with no valid reason whatsoever?"

Her attention turned to the young man that had now shifted his gaze from me to the blue-skinned beauty.

"You know us not from anywhere. We have no prior interactions. Yet you somehow feel entitled to us arriving early and demand apologies when we do not? The height of foolishness, that’s what it is."

"Damn. Looks like someone has a very short bullshit tolerance meter." Sana was once again surprised at the instant switch of attitudes Nyssara had.

"You dare—" A minion behind the young man tried to speak up, but a raised hand from the leading youth stopped him.

"I don’t believe I’ve introduced myself properly. I am Lin Yuan, young master of the Lin family from the Tianque Domain. It’s a pleasure to meet you." And then we get the classic young master to gigolo switch the moment a beautiful woman is involved.

"Damn... that’s Lin Yuan."

"Yeah.. I wonder what happened? How did those guys get on his nerves?"

"I don’t know, but I don’t think it’ll end well. I mean, his father is a grand elder within the sect, so he’s pretty much untouchable here."

The crowd around us, those who recognized the young man, began discussing fervently about his identity.

"Hmm, looks like he’s a proper young master." I couldn’t help but muse silently.

Why someone with such a background was going through the same process as other "regular" candidates was beyond me, but I couldn’t care less because my attention was firmly on the staunch figure of Nyssara.

The conversations, the young man’s introduction, none of them seemed to register in her head as,

"I don’t care who you are. Basic etiquette and common sense are not things one should ignore because they have an illustrious identity. You should do better," was all she had to say to the young man.

"Ahhh... and you ladies wonder why I wanted to get my hands on her." The level of satisfaction I was currently feeling was something difficult to put into words.

"You know how weird it looks telling the other women you’re actively together with about another woman you’re getting together with is, right?" Shaia asked.

"Meh..." I shrugged.

"Who’s together with that bastard? Don’t lump me in with the likes of you." Sana.

"You’re literally tied to his soul, and you’re here whining about not being attached to him? Grow up, Sana." Terra.

"Damn this green-haired bimbo."

I ignored the group of fiery personalities as my focus returned to the young master whose face had turned ugly after being lectured by Nyssara.

He stood shorter than the 6’5 woman, so he had to actively raise his head before he could reply,

"You dare talk to me like that? Do you know who I am?"

"You just introduced yourself. Why are you asking me such a stupid question? Are all of you this forgetful? What is wrong with this region?"

It was the fact that she didn’t even think she was saying anything wrong that made everything worse.

She genuinely believed herself to be right and that these guys would be reasonable enough to understand where they were wrong, but unfortunately,

"YOU DARE!!!!" One of the lackeys yelled in outrage as his aura exploded, about to make a move when,

BANG!!!

"Ughhh...." His knees crashed into the floor of the ship, shattering to splinters the moment they did.

"Who—"

The posturing youth hadn’t even gotten his words out completely when,

BANG!! BANG!! BANG!!

Multiple jarring thuds echoed out in succession, followed by the sounds of bones shattering and pained groans.

The entire entourage had been reduced to their knees as my aura pressed down upon them.

I had almost lost track of the plot as I was busy being entranced by the beautiful scene of Nyssara putting arrogant young masters in their place, but now, it was time to show what posturing truly looked like.

"You dare speak to my junior sister that way?" My voice echoed out grandly as I walked forward, hands behind my back.

"Ju... junior sister?" Nyssara asked, confused.

"It’s a term of endearment. It basically means wife."

"Wi... Wi... wife!?" She stuttered loudly.

"Ahh... she’s back." Shaia.

"Was fun while it lasted." Sana.

"Yes, wife. Now hold on a bit." Done clearing up the confusion, I finally returned my attention to the kneeling and groaning group.

"Ahem... like I was saying. You dare raise your hand against my junior sister? Do you know who I am?"

"Ughh..." Painful groans were the only replies I received, but it was enough.

"I am Young Master Jiang Chen, of the illustrious giant mountains of fire and brimstone. My ancestors had walked these worlds before your forefathers were even born, yet you dared to raise your filthy hands against MY, Jiang Chen’s, junior sister!?"

"IMPUDENT!!!" My roar shook the entire place as even those not interested in the confrontation were forced to pay attention.

"Hey... why is this bastard changing identities again?" Malachi.

"That’s what’s bothering you? I’m more concerned with how and why he always seems to have some convoluted identity waiting to pull out from his head." Paku.

"I’m more impressed by how easily he forgets his own forged identities. Like, it’s literally on his candidacy token." Leo.

I could hear the others discussing behind my back, but I was too into it now to care.

"I shall give you one chance to atone for your folly." I finally stood before the groaning young master.

"Kowtow six times and call me progenitor, and I might just make your death swift and painless."

"Yes!! Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you posture properly." Three bows? Call me ancestor? Fuck all that.

I’m worth at least six bows and being called progenitor.

...

...

...

I waited for a few moments and still received no response that wasn’t pained groans.

Looking down, I realized the young master’s face was already turning purple—turns out I hadn’t pulled back my aura all this while.

"Ooops. Hmmm.. well, I guess there’s only one thing left to do in this situation." I lowered myself a bit, grabbing the purple-faced youth by his hair and then,

BANG!

Slammed him headfirst into the ground, a tremor running through the floor as his face connected with the ground.

BANG!

Another slam saw his forehead crack open like a coconut as blood began flowing out.

BANG!

I cared not for his plight as I drove his head down once more.

BANG!!

Hit after hit. The whole place shook as I drove his head into the floor continuously, uncaring for the fact that the place had become a pool of red and some suspicious white tissue.

I had demanded six bows, and six bows I was going to receive, even if he died in the process.

BANG!!!

With one last slam, I finally, mercifully, let the limp body fall.

Thud!

It collapsed into the pool of red and white as it remained motionless.

"There, your progenitor has mercifully taken pity on you." My voice was uncannily loud within the heavy silence that had befallen the entire place.

Everyone—it didn’t matter if they had been cultivating or meditating serenely within those formation-covered seats, or busy discussing the ’dao’ with their friends—the entire place had fallen dead quiet as they all fixed their attention on my standing form and the bloodied body beneath me.

"Now, who would like to—"

"YOUNG MASTER YUAN!!!!" A thunderous voice cut me off instantly as an old man appeared from within the inner reaches of the ship, his eyes widening in fury and alarm the moment the scene registered in his head.

"YOU!!!!" His bloodshot eyes turned towards me as the aura of a law manifestation powerhouse exploded out of him.

The entire hall was submerged in a fiery radiance as the man disappeared within a cloud of blue-gold flames.

"DIEEEEEE!!!!" A thunderous scream shook the entire spaceship as the now ball of fiery hot flames launched itself at me, intent clear.

But,

WOOOSH!!!

A translucent barrier surrounded the flames before they could even move as,

SNAP!

The sound of a snapping finger echoed through the souls of everyone.

Their eyes widening in collective shock as they watched the cloud of blue-gold flames revert back into the form of the aged elder, but it didn’t stop there.

No. The regression continued, from an elder to a man that looked to be in his fifties, to a middle-aged man, to a young adult... faster than most could keep up with, the man had aged backwards enough to become a baby once more, and even then it didn’t stop.

I could feel the chill creeping through the air as everyone watched in horror as the man aged backwards once more, becoming a living embryo before eventually,

Plop!

Aging out of existence.

A terrifying silence settled within the hall as the crowd just stared in wide-eyed dumbfoundment.

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you deal with a pest." Salazar’s satisfied voice resonated through the quiet as he clapped the nonexistent dust from his hands.

I ignored his theatricals. I ignored the shocked and silent crowd. Focus fully returning to the now trembling entourage that had accompanied the young master as I continued the words I was saying before being rudely interrupted,

My posturing had already begun, and I must see it through regardless,

"Now, who would like to go next?"

A/N: so, apparently, the solution for writer’s block is to just... write. It’s hard, but I did myself justice with this one, hahahaha... anyways,
