Chapter 487: Chapter 485:“I called it.”

A/N: I’m trying to see if I can do a full month of releasing three Chapters daily. I was inconsistent a lot last month so I’m trying to see if I can make it up this month, that and the fact that I’m trying to reach the second win-win classic tier. So, y’all should get to unlocking those Chapters for if I make it to the second tier, then I might just adopt to doing three Chapters daily as the norm, and don’t forget to shower me with tickets hehehehe... don’t hoard them. Alright that’s enough for this author’s note, back to the story....

Enjoy...

"... and that, oh ABSOLUTE, is how this one ended up in this current state." The old soul concluded, posture still kneeling and bowed, but my attention wasn’t on him. No, it was on my beautiful female companions.

"This..." Sana’s face was a picture of absolute disbelief as she stood dumbfounded, words failing to escape her lips.

"Surely... not..." Terra had already hidden her face behind her palm as she just sighed continuously.

"At this point, why do we even bother?" Elira had the expression of someone who had already given up hope in all humanity as her eyes shone with pure disbelief.

"We’re about to have the worst days of our lives, aren’t we?" Shaia asked, and...

"""Yes.""" The ladies replied in utter dismay.

As for me? I was currently feeling above and beyond elated. As for why that was?

Well, it was because the emperor had just finished the story of how he ended up like this, and the ladies couldn’t believe it.

Hell, the moment he had begun, Shaia had already tried to escape into absence, but I wouldn’t allow it. I had forced all of them to witness true magnificence as they stood through what was probably the most ridiculous time of their lives—disbelieving constantly what their ears were hearing, and now they could only remain in shock and disbelief.

I was sure if Nyssara were here, she would’ve been flabbergasted at the sheer ridiculousness of the story we’d just heard as well.

As it turns out, the emperor’s story was extremely close to my earlier guess.

He had indeed been a historical being, a leading figure in the conception of the high planar galaxies, as true to the history being told, he had indeed been the one to pull the galaxies closer together—getting integrated into the true Caldera family after he had proven his worth and everything. This was supposed to be his moment, he was supposed to finally reach heights never before seen as maybe, just maybe, he could actually make it to the cosmic behemoth itself and not this prime universe branch.

But, this was where things started to get wicked.

The Calderans were an overbearing family by nature.

The martial spirit world had already gone against their ordinance by daring to interfere with their bloodline suppression methods, thus birthing the martial spirit bloodlines, birthing a figure like Lin Feng, but they couldn’t have that.

The entire high planar galaxies, a region under their dominion, praised Lin Feng like some godly figure, so much so that Lin Feng’s words carried more weight within this region than even the overlords themselves.

That was proven even more so when the threat that was the Empyrean Gryphon clan had launched their war.

The high planar galaxies hadn’t asked the Calderans for help. No, they had run to their god, Lin Feng.

And here’s where another twist to the story comes.

Turns out, Lin Feng didn’t actually request help from the Calderans after receiving the news. The man had already prepared himself to go save his region because at the time, he had already attained a realm of power even higher than the Law Sovereign stage. His martial spirit had evolved to the Cosmic Grade Six-Headed Terror martial spirit.

There were not many, even among cosmic grade beasts or bloodlines, that could compete with a six-headed terror, especially not after he had actually developed his own to the peak of what it could have ever attained, making sure his spirit was capable of wielding six different cosmic grade abilities.

So, he by his lonesome had been equivalent to SIX cosmic bloodline-wielding beings; he didn’t need help.

Honestly, after he had reached this point in his story, I had been wondering if maybe the world got things confused because, how was Lin Tian the protagonist, when this old emperor clearly had an even better template? Or maybe he was the supposed peak Lin Tian was meant to surpass?

I didn’t know what these ’Terrors’ were, but from what I was hearing, just the fact that the more heads they had, the more abilities of their grades they could wield, already made them quite the threat to people.

They were supposedly located at the Phoenix-Dragoverse—yes, the same place the Empyrean Gryphon clan had escaped to—but they were a more secluded clan of beasts.

Secluded, not weak. But I digress.

As I was saying, the emperor hadn’t requested for help, he could’ve solved it by his lonesome, because yes, the Empyrean Gryphon clan was powerful.

Yes, they had a cosmic grade bloodline-wielding beast that was approaching ascension.

Yes, the entire clan was made up of divine beasts with stupidly powerful abilities, but so what?

A single cosmic grade powerhouse was already a threat, let alone someone wielding SIX such abilities?

It was a done deal. But like every scheming antagonist, the Caldera family wouldn’t have it so.

It was a region under their governance after all, so they sent some other people with Lin Feng, one of those people being his sworn brother, Shen Yin.

Yes. You can probably guess the rest of the story.

He, Lin Feng, finally arrived like some messiah to save his region.

A massive battle with the gryphons burst out; losses were incurred by both sides as although Lin Feng was powerful, a cosmic beast approaching ascension wasn’t a pushover.

But history was a bit more accurate this time around as, truthfully, the then alpha of the Empyrean Gryphons and the leading figure from the Caldera family had called a ceasefire.

They had decided to hand over the perpetrators to the gryphons in a bid for peace.

Lin Feng, oh self-righteous protagonist Lin Feng, was against it vehemently, but he was at the mercy of the Calderans and could only bite down on his displeasure.

The matter was resolved.

Aurelion got his payback. The high planar galaxies received their peace. Things should’ve ended, but they didn’t—after all, the Calderans weren’t here for the gryphons.

Now, one would ask, how do you take down a man who was the equivalent of six cosmic bloodline-wielding monsters, had developed his spirit to its prime, and was at a stage of power few in the prime universe could compare to? Well, the answer was simple: a woman and a sworn brother, because the most effective attacks are the ones your enemies don’t see coming.

Lin Feng had too many women to count, so expecting all of them to only be receiving pipe from him? Fantasy.

His ’sworn brother’ and one of his women, a woman he was comfortably fucking behind his ’sworn brother’s’ back, joined hands with the Calderans and, surprisingly, the Empyrean Gryphons as they led him into a trap intending to kill him.

Now, obviously, no protagonist template bearer ever died so easily, as Lin Feng had fought back vehemently, taking down some of the Calderans, and even killing the traitorous wench, but ultimately, he was outnumbered and outgunned.

So, in a desperate bid to save himself, he exploded his core while using a forbidden technique to preserve his soul at the cost of all his power. The explosion shook the entire high planar galaxies as Lin Feng’s soul was hurled across the region until it eventually landed in some beast mountains in some faraway village where a lone boy had gone out hunting for supplies for his sick junior sister.

Yes. That boy was Lin Tian. As for the girl, well....

Anyways, the rest of the story from there was as anyone would’ve guessed, and now here we were, living what was probably the most cliched story ever, but one I had called from miles away.

"Let’s just leave... please. This whole thing is making me lose brain cells." Shaia urged, tired of all the bs.

"Hahahahahaha!! Next time you ladies won’t doubt my meta knowledge."

All I received were unimpressed stares that promised punishment if I didn’t take them out.

Not willing to push my luck, I peered down at the kneeling figure below and, with a thought...

.... erased his memories.

I was still interested in seeing what Lin Tian does, especially with this figure in his consciousness, and now that I’d heard about the plotline of Lin Tian’s own story?

"Heh! Can’t have this old guy remembering shit and ruining the fun now, can I?"

Done with my thoughts, the girls disappeared from the spot as they returned to my soul space in silence.

I couldn’t help but laugh at their antics as I willed it and everything returned to what it was, my eyes opening back in the real world as reality finally resumed its motion.

A/N: Man... writing this just made realize I might’ve read a bit too much of the same shit in cultivation novels, because why didn’t I have any trouble when thinking of this shit, damn! Anyways,
