Jiang Sifan stood where he was, staring at that door for quite a while. He reached up and touched his lips. The warmth of her cheek still lingered on them—warm and soft.

He smiled and turned to walk toward his electric scooter. As he rode, the night breeze blew over him. It was a bit chilly, but his entire being felt warm. He recalled how she looked when he kissed her just now—her eyes closed, her cheeks flushed, and her eyelashes fluttering slightly like a flower bud ready to bloom. He rode very slowly, taking a lap around the campus before finally returning to the bottom of his dorm building.

At eight-thirty the next morning, Chen He’s car was already parked downstairs by the boys’ dormitory. Jiang Sifan wore a clean white shirt and had combed his hair, making him look much more energetic. Wen Wan walked over from the girls’ dormitory. She was wearing a light pink hoodie with her hair tied in a low ponytail and a touch of light makeup on her face.

“Let’s go,” Jiang Sifan said with a smile.

Wen Wan nodded and got into the car. Chen He started the engine, and the car headed in the direction of the Jinling Branch.

Jiang Sifan sat in the backseat, watching the street views outside the window, feeling a bit nervous. Wen Wan sat next to him, her hands resting on her knees, her fingers curled slightly. Jiang Sifan reached out and held her hand. Wen Wan glanced at him. She didn’t say anything, but a smile touched the corners of her lips.

The car stopped in front of the Jinling Branch building. Jiang Sifan got out of the car. He looked up at the thirty-two-story glass-facade building in front of him and drew in a sharp breath.

“This is your dad’s company?” Wen Wan’s voice trembled a little, too.

“The Jinling Branch,” Jiang Sifan nodded.

The two of them entered the building. The young receptionist already recognized them and smiled, saying, “Mr. Jiang, Sister Jiali is waiting for you on the twenty-third floor.”

Jiang Sifan nodded and led Wen Wan into the elevator. As the elevator ascended, Wen Wan whispered, “Class Rep, are you nervous?”

“A little,” Jiang Sifan answered honestly.

Wen Wan squeezed his hand tighter.

The elevator reached the twenty-third floor, and the doors opened. Jiali was standing by the elevator. She smiled and said, “Sifan, you’re here? Come on, let me show you guys to the office.”

Jiang Sifan and Wen Wan followed Jiali down the corridor until they arrived in front of a glass door. Jiali pushed the door open. Inside was a large open space, at least two hundred square meters in size. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was the skyline of Jinling City. Sunlight flooded in through the windows, making the entire room incredibly bright.

“This whole floor is for you to use,” Jiali said with a smile. “This side is the office area, over there is the conference room, and you can set up a pantry in the corner. If you have any other needs, just tell Xiaoya, and she’ll arrange it for you.”

Jiang Sifan stood in front of the window, looking out at the city, unable to speak for a long time. Wen Wan stood beside him, also gazing out the window. She said softly, “Class Rep, this place is too big.”

“It really is,” Jiang Sifan nodded.

Jiali smiled from the side. “Bigger is better. You’ll need to hire more people and expand your business in the future. A small place wouldn’t be enough.”

Jiang Sifan turned around and looked at Jiali, taking a deep breath. “Sister Jiali, please thank my dad for me.”

“Tell him yourself,” Jiali chuckled. “He kept mumbling about it last night, saying you were coming to see the office today and worrying you might not be satisfied.”

Jiang Sifan froze for a moment, then smiled. He took out his phone, pulled up the chat with Lu Fan, typed a few words, and then deleted them. He typed another line and deleted it again. Finally, he sent a message: [Dad, I’ve seen the office. It’s really great. Thank you.]

After sending it, he shoved the phone into his pocket and looked out the window.

A few seconds later, his phone buzzed. He took it out and saw that Lu Fan had replied: [Good. When are you moving? I’ll have the administration team assist you.]

Jiang Sifan looked at the message and smiled. He typed a reply: [Next weekend. We’ll pack up our stuff at the school this week.]

Lu Fan replied with an “Okay.”

Jiang Sifan put his phone away and turned to look at Wen Wan. Wen Wan was standing in front of the window. The sunlight fell on her, making her look as if she were plated in a layer of gold.

“Wen Wan.”

She turned her head.

“We’re moving to a new office,” Jiang Sifan said with a smile.

Wen Wan smiled, her eyes curving into crescents. She walked over and stood beside him. The two of them stood shoulder-to-shoulder before the window, their hearts brimming with anticipation.
