Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Chapter 157: ARREST WARRANT

The discussion about the newly discovered devil’s ability lasted a whole day, and by nighttime, they finally stopped and drew a conclusion that it had already begun.

If the devils had started ten years earlier, one could only imagine what would happen by the time they reached the peak of their power.

Altair and Asher had to prepare their people too.

"A week," Altair said. "Your mate could feel the lingering presence of the devils at least for a week." He had taken a mental note of the situation. "And I think the stronger the devil is, the more intensely she feels it."

"It is quite troublesome because she can’t shift into her wolf form, which leaves her very vulnerable and an easy target. You have to find a way to fix that. We can’t lose her," Asher said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Zade didn’t like the way the other Lycans saw his mate as a tool, but they were right in a way. It was indeed a disadvantage to Seara for not being able to shift into her wolf form.

Meanwhile, Ace and the two gammas were there as well, offering suggestions and participating in the planning. However, in the middle of their discussion, a warrior mind-linked with Ace to inform him of something important.

When the royal beta heard that, his expression grew grim.

"They are here," Ace said in a tight voice, and all of their attention was on him.

Jeremy had woken up when Leia returned to the hospital, and she was elated to see her son was fine, but her daughters were seemingly back into a fight over a game, while Zephyr tried to calm them down.

"This is just a game," Zephyr regretted introducing Chloe to the game that he played with Seara, because she was a little bit overcompetitive.

"No, don’t stop them. That is funny," Jeremy said, stopping his mother from coming over and stopping their bickering.

And Jeremy was right; Leia didn’t see any harm. Mostly, Chloe would bicker with Zephyr as he took Seara’s side, while the latter kept beating Chloe in the game.

"No way! You must be cheating!" Chloe said in frustration when she lost the game again, while Seara smiled brightly to annoy her.

Leia thought that if her daughter was still alive, she would be the same age as Seara, and probably the three of them could hang out together.

But then, she shook her head to get rid of that feeling. She had Jeremy, Chloe, and Seara; they were her children.

"Okay, stop playing. Let’s eat." Leia came over and took their phones while Chloe was complaining, bargaining with her to let her play one more round.

"I don’t want to play with you; you lose easily," Seara said and then walked away hurriedly before Chloe could explode at her.

"Enough." Leia stopped Chloe from coming after Seara.

"She bullied me!" Chloe complained. She was used to getting whatever she wanted. She was also the youngest in the family, so her father and brother spoiled her.

"No one bullied you. Let’s eat now." Leia enjoyed this moment, and Jeremy’s health improvement made it even better.

"You too, stop playing and eat." Leia snatched the phone from Zephyr’s hand.

"Wait! I am in the middle of a fight," Zephyr protested, but it was too late. Since Leia had decided on something, he had to roll with it.

The room that Jeremy occupied was spacious; it looked like an apartment unit instead of a hospital ward. There was a four-seater dining table, an extra bed, a small kitchen, an ensuite bathroom, and much more.

And because Jeremy couldn’t get off his bed, the dining table was moved closer to his bed so they could still eat together.

"Seara, do you know that Zade likes shrimp? You should try to cook him something with shrimp in it," Chloe suggested, but Leia stopped her immediately.

"Zade doesn’t like seafood. Stop talking and start eating." Leia put a shrimp on each of Chloe’s, Jeremy’s, and Seara’s plates.

"Where is mine?" Zephyr wanted a shrimp too, even though he could just get it on his own. He grinned when Leia put a shrimp on his plate as well.

"Oh, you are like a child; remember that you are hundreds of years old." Jeremy scrunched his nose to see the way Zephyr acted.

"In terms of a Lycan’s age, I am still a child," Zephyr replied without any shame at all.

While they were eating, the television in the background broadcast important news in the middle of the series that Leia was watching.

"Wait—is that Ace? That’s the residence, right?" Chloe was the one who first noticed the news on the television.

It reported that the young businessman from the Blaze company was accused of murder, and now he was under investigation.

"Wait, what?" Chloe was shocked.

Meanwhile, Jeremy’s expression looked so grim. He had been trying to avoid talking about what happened that night. He thought there must be a misunderstanding, and he would figure it out once he got out of the hospital.

He refused to talk about it because he dreaded the reality that his friends had anything to do with the devils.

But now, the reality hit him in the face.

"Wait." Chloe turned to look at Zephyr. "Do you know this? You don’t look surprised."

"Zade has his suspicions that something like this will happen, so he has prepared for it. There is no need to be worried; he has everything under control."

"Oliver’s brother is the chief of police," Jeremy said in a small voice.

On the television, they saw that there were so many reporters waiting outside the residence, along with some of the police cars.

They were waiting for the police to escort Ace out. From what the news anchor said, the police had a warrant to arrest him.

Seara immediately reached for her phone and tried to call Zade, but he didn’t pick up her call.
