Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Chapter 179: HE IS NOT MY FATHER

  • Next Chapter

Enid was Daven’s little sister, and she had been captured with Brigid and Eudora months ago. When the warriors left the residence, they couldn’t find the three of them in the dungeon, and now they knew what had happened to them.

It was a pity that Zade didn’t kill them right away instead of letting them fall into the enemy’s hands.

"How do you know that?" Ace asked, because it could be anyone.

"I don’t know, but I think I am right." Seara walked closer to Alpha Oscar, but she was sure the real alpha had long gone.

When Seara was close enough, Oscar was about to spit on her, but Zade had slapped him so hard, you could hear his jaw was dislocated, followed by a shrill scream of pain.

"I am right; she is Enid. She is a spitter," Seara confirmed.

Meanwhile, the other nineteen alphas were dumbstruck because there was the devils’ pawn among them.

"How do you know for sure?" Alpha Sebastian asked, his eyes fixed on his fellow alpha. "There must be something that we can do to get him back, right?"

"No, Oscar is gone for good. This is only a vessel." Zade looked at Daryl, Oscar’s beta. "Call his son, the next alpha in line. I want him to be here before night."

But Daryl was too shocked to respond quickly. He was still staring at his alpha and tried to make sense of this whole thing.

"Daryl," Zade called his name, firmer this time, and it snapped the beta out of his thoughts. "Do it now. This is very important."

Daryl nodded and immediately left the room to carry the order.

Meanwhile, Oscar was still wailing and screaming. This was not the act of an alpha. A simple stab on his hand wouldn’t make an alpha whine pitifully, but Oscar was crying.

This solidified what the Lycan king had said: he was indeed not the real Alpha Oscar.

"King Zade, we are not only fighting the devils, but the humans too. If you don’t take your stand quickly, it will be easy for them to wipe out our existence."

Zade ordered Ace to take Oscar away. Who occupied Oscar’s body didn’t matter to Zade because, to him, the alpha was gone.

"Can’t you see? That is exactly what the devils want—to wedge the war between shifters and humans." Zade watched as Ace took Oscar away. "Didn’t you see how he tried to provoke you into the war? We are playing right into the devils’ hands."

"And then what are you going to do? Wait for them to eradicate us? I will prefer we kill them all instead of being killed by them!" Alpha Lucas said angrily.

"You can’t hold them back, Zade. They want revenge for the death of their fellow warriors, and I can understand that," Seara said, looking at Zade. "If the plan with Jack fails, there will be nothing you can say to calm them down. You will not only fight against the humans and the devils, but you will make the enemy out of your own people."

Seara sat down next to Zade. The meeting was postponed, and for now, Zade was still able to control the alphas, but she knew it wouldn’t for long.

"I know." Zade was well aware of that. He knew what was at stake, and if the alphas started to rebel against him, it would only give the benefit to the devils.

The thing was that Asher and Altair were facing the same problem. The devils provoked the alphas with what they did. But the Lycans had seen the same trick so many times, and they knew how to play it.

The problem with this era was that the media was everywhere. You would eventually see what they wanted you to see, and the broadcast enraged the shifters.

"Zade, do you think you can turn Admiral Jack to our side?" Seara didn’t mean to doubt Zade, but humans’ loyalty was so fickle.

In the world of shifters, loyalty holds the utmost importance. However, there are still a few shifters who act contrary to their moral conduct, let alone humans.

In some cases, humans could be more evil than the devil itself.

"Zade, why don’t you show Admiral Jack what he is actually facing within his own people, telling him about the devil? In that way, it will be more believable for him, because we don’t force him to believe us."

Zade looked at his mate. "Do you have an idea for that?"

"Actually..."

Matt. He would be the next alpha for the Sharp Stone Pack.

Daryl had told him what happened to his father, and he understandably didn’t believe that until he saw it with his own eyes.

His father was tied to the bedpost, screaming and kicking, crying even, but when he saw Matt, he stopped and called him.

"My son, come here, help your father," Oscar breathed deeply. He couldn’t stretch out his hand because he was tied up, but he could still speak freely. "Daryl, what are you doing there? Untie me; this is an order from your alpha."

Even though Enid had Alpha Oscar’s memories, she couldn’t act like him. The way she carried herself with the alpha’s figure was completely different.

"Dad?" Matt took a few steps closer. He was only twenty-two years old, and if he had to be the alpha of the pack, he would be the youngest alpha in this era.

"It’s me, Son. Come here. I was falsely accused."

The light in the room caught in Matt’s blond hair as he moved closer to the bed to look at his father more closely.

"Good, good. Let me go so I can explain myself in front of the Lycan king."

Matt stared at his father for a long moment before he turned around and left the room, while Zade had been waiting for him outside.

"King Zade, my father doesn’t cry even in the face of death. He is not my father," he said through gritted teeth.
