"You know me?" Olive Ivers looked surprised.

’How could I not know you? You are a major clause in my contract marriage with Callahan,’ Sienna thought to herself, realizing that she needed to find an ’out’ of the current situation right away.

"You are hardworking and outstanding, Miss Ivers. It’s hard to not know you."

Olive blushed a little, "Sorry for losing my composure just now."

Olive was a woman with delicate and soft features that made her look a gentle person, but her appearance was completely professional with the pencil skirt and midnight blue blouse. Her voice was pleasant and her actions... were effortlessly cute.

’No wonder he likes her,’ Sienna realized that she would have a crush on Olive too, if she was a man.

Sienna sucked in a small breath and made up her mind, "I was just passing by..."

"Were you looking for the Vice President? Please come with me," Olive led a stunned Sienna into the VIP elevator, "The Vice President is currently held up in a meeting. You can wait for him inside. He will be back soon."

By the time Sienna snapped out of her shock, she was already sitting on the couch in Callahan’s office. And Olive was gone.

Sienna sighed and slumped back on the couch lifelessly, "This is bad..."

Her thoughts came to a halt when she noticed a small black box on the coffee table. She picked the box up and opened it, revealing a snowflake pendant attached to a delicate chain, ’Is he gifting this to Olive?’

The thought left a pang in her chest. And the sudden feeling startled her instantly, "What am I thinking...."

Sienna put the box back on the coffee table as if she was electroluted. Without wasting another second, she walked out of Callahan’s office.

She had just stepped onto the hallway when the elevator door opened and Callahan entered her view.

The man was dressed in a classic black suit that highlighted his stunning features even more. His hair fell over his forehead, making his appearance a bit casual... and even hotter.

And the moment their eyes met—

’Thump’

Sienna’s heart skipped a beat.

Suddenly, she had a flashback of the kiss they shared last night, the one she had spent the entire day not thinking about. The feel of his lips against hers, the firm hand etched onto her waist, his touch, his words...

Sienna gulped, ’I’m dead... I’m so dead...’ She wondered if she fell off the bed in her sleep, or was it that she had too much of a shock and her brain had stopped working!

One thing she knew for sure was that something was wrong with her. In her right mind, she would never have such diabolical thoughts and feelings for a man she has considered an enemy for all her life.

Sienna knew that if she stayed a second longer, she might do or say something that would make her question herself for an eternity. She needed to leave!

"Ah...Hahah... I was..." As she heard the tremble in her voice, she stopped talking.

He raised a brow and stepped out of the elevator, stopping in front of her. And immediately, she was cocooned in his shadow.

Sienna was a tall woman herself and paired with heels, she could be taller than some men as well. But Callahan towered over her effortlessly the moment he stood in front of her.

’The credit goes to his genes, Sienna! Stop focusing on the wrong things,’ Clearing her throat, she spoke again, "I am leaving. Earlier, I was just passing by and I stopped..."

"You were passing by from the other end of the city?" Callahan asked.

"A long drive."

"And the chosen destination?"

"I... uh..." Sienna was about to speak when she caught a hint of smile on his face, "Thomas has already informed you!"

The smile on his face widened.

Sienna glared at him. He actually knew it and deliberately led her in circles.

"I got a call that you were practicing your culinary skills,’’ Callahan placed a hand on the small of her back and led her back to his office, opening the door for her.

Since he saved her some embarrassment. Sienna followed along, "Of course, I was just testing my skills but since I prepared too much, I didn’t want to waste the food."

The moment she stepped inside, he retracted his hand and she felt a tingling sensation right where he had just touched her.

Sienna snapped out of her daze when she saw Callahan stopping by the coffee table.

He picked up the black case and walked over to his office desk before carefully placing the case inside the drawers.

’He is being so careful with the gift he bought for her,’ Sienna regained her composure by the time he returned to the couch.

They had their dinner together. By the time Sienna tasted the dessert she made, she had already praised herself to the high heavens, "What do you think, Mr. Hawke?"

"You don’t need to do this in the future," the man said as he picked up the silk handkerchief to wipe his mouth.

Sienna put the spoon down, "Even if the food is not to your taste, it couldn’t be that bad that you don’t want me to step in the kitchen anymore."

Callahan grabbed her hand and flipped it gently, revealing the small cuts and burns by her fingertips. His eyes darkened, "Stop getting yourself hurt.’’

Sienna pulled her hand back, "These are just scratches. I’m not that delicate. It’s just that I was in a rush so I got a bit careless."

Callahan’s hand lingered in the air for a brief moment before he placed it down.

Sienna could feel a drastic change in the air and she couldn’t understand how she offended him suddenly. It was always like this with Callahan.

One moment, he would act so warm and predictable and she would let her guards down.

In the next moment, he would switch up, being so cold and aloof that she would be left clueless.

"I just wanted to thank you, you know. For everything. We haven’t been the best of friends but in the past few days, you have done so much for me."
