Chapter 8: Share a room

At this moment, Callahan stepped aside to take a call.

Sienna stood there, watching the man walk off to the other end of the hallway.

For a long time, she believed she had known everything about Callahan Hawke. But just a day with him, and she had discovered things she couldn’t count on one hand.

"Young Madam," The butler stepped up behind her as he bowed.

"Thomas."

"Let me show you the way to the room."

"This... is the room?" Sienna’s eyes widened as she took in the sight of the lavish room.

The bedroom was thrice the size of the living room of her penthouse. Yet, it surprisingly did not feel cold or boring. The walls were painted in warm colors and the room was dimly lit.

When she stepped inside, she caught the faint fragrance of orchids.

Sienna stepped towards the french window and pushed it open. A cozy garden sprawled below, covered with beautiful orchids of all shades.

"You have brought me to a room with the view of orchids... And I love orchids," A small smile touched Sienna’s lips as she looked at Thomas.

The old man was startled for a second before he composed himself, "What a coincidence, indeed."

Sienna smiled and took another look at the orchid garden.

Once the butler left, Sienna carefully placed her belongings on the bed. She stretched her arms, deciding that she needed to take a shower before anything.

When she entered the bathroom, she noticed a row of men’s grooming products lined over the cabinet shelves.

At first, she was a little confused but when she thought about it, it made sense. Since he said that he had never brought any females over, then this guest room probably had male guests staying over.

Sienna no longer paid attention to it. She just peeled the clothes off her body and stood under the shower, letting the warm water calm her nerves.

Only after a good long shower did she realize that she had left her bag outside.

Sienna grabbed a towel from the bathroom rack and wrapped it around herself, frowning at how it barely covered anything. She had just walked to the bed when the door opened with a ’click’ and Callahan’s face came into her view.

Sienna did not have to look down to know that her towel was not doing its job. And currently, it was revealing more than it covered.

Meanwhile, Callahan was not even trying to be a gentleman about it as he let his gaze trail down.

’Swish’

In one swift movement, Sienna pulled the blankets off the bed, being wrapped in it like a Sushi, "I almost thought you were a gentleman earlier."

"It’s our wedding night and I thought this was your way of saying that you believe in respecting the traditions," Callahan walked towards her, removing a few locks of stray wet hair from her face.

Sienna’s face went from pink to red and then blue, "Don’t you know how to knock before entering someone’s room?"

"Why would I knock before entering my room?"

"What do you mean... your room?" Sienna’s eyes widened.

Callahan raised a brow.

"Are we... Are we going to share one room?"

’Ring’

The sudden ringing of the phone cut through the tension in the master bedroom.

Sienna was relaxing until she realized that it was her phone. But since, she had fully turned herself into a sushi, there was no opening for her to push her hands out.

She began to remove the blanket when she felt something slipping inside. The towel had dropped. Sienna wrapped the blanket tighter.

She looked at Callahan, "Aren’t you going to step out?"

"Do I have a reason to step out of my own room?"

Sienna laughed in realization...

Wow! No wonder. No wonder the man had been so docile throughout the wedding. This sly fox had been scheming to torment her once she had no way of stepping away from him!

She adjusted the blanket to the side and forcefully snuck a hand out before grabbing the phone from the bed, "Hello!"

"You sound rather cheerful after what you have done," A cold voice sounded from the other side.

Sienna froze when she heard the voice. She paused and looked at the caller ID that displayed her father’s number.

"Be at the family house in 30 minutes."
