[FROLO]

Sergei knew what the doctor was doing.

Trying to force him to reconcile both Katya and Vitya. But why did he even need to reconcile them when there had never been a comparison for him?

Vitya was everything to him.

His lifeline.

Someone he was living for through Katya.

He loved Katya, no doubt, but to try and pin them against each other when the love was different was brutal. And Sergei stared at the doctor who had been his confidant for a whole year.

The one who taught him to translate emotions.

Funny how the same doctor was trying to play him with the same emotions she had made sure Sergei mastered. It had been long and hard, but Sergei was a dedicated learner.

Which was also why he was sure this was a diversion.

"You’re not the only one who taught me how to translate love and relationships, doctor... I think that’s where you think you have it all right. My... my parents did that. Have always done that.

"A few slippers here, and explosions there... I learned love and relationships from them," Sergei chuckled darkly, playing with his gun. He’d long turned the safety off, and he knew what that meant.

Even the doctor did.

But Sergei didn’t care.

He continued.

"See... I... I came to you to translate what I was feeling for Solnyshka, because there are things you can’t ask your parents," Sergei began, and Doctor Belyaeva looked at him, confused.

It took her a moment before she remembered that Rastenkin and Anya were Sergei’s parental figures. And probably why he was this screwed up.

"... I know mine would answer me and help me out. But they already have the burden of... of having the Devil of Frolo as their son... we both know I’m not ashamed of that, but... I wanted someone to talk to.

"Someone who wouldn’t look at me as their child who was hopelessly spiraling in love and who they needed to save... but you are trying to pull your psych school things on me," Sergei laughed, grabbing his katana and beginning to slice up some of the doctor’s hair.

Sergei was bored, and he needed to keep himself busy while talking to the doctor who thought she had everything thought out to the last bit.

"You almost caught me confused; I have to give you that. Almost had me rethinking everything. But since I’m going to murder you anyway, I will tell you," he continued like this was the only thing that mattered.

Sergei even set his gun and katana back on the table, pulled a knife from his boot, grabbed the doctor’s hair, and began snipping it with the blade like that was his continuation of whatever this was.

And the doctor...

She stiffened.

She knew Sergei was insane.

Knew this man was unpredictable, and she had accidentally managed to piss him off in the worst of ways already.

"Solnyshka will never be like my dusha, doctor, and that’s okay. My Vitya... he was my first great love. He taught me what I would never have learned if I didn’t meet him. Trust, how to love without having to be in control all the time.

"He taught me unconditional love, and more than anything, my dusha taught me how to live. He made me who I am. My dusha asked me to live," Sergei chuckled thoughtfully, like he was trying so hard to keep it together.

Vitya had asked him to stay alive on a deathbed that Sergei had never recovered from to this day. He still remembered the smell of disinfectant. The round-the-clock care he had invested in.

The doctor’s remarks about how Vitya needed to let go.

Sergei remembered it all.

But he also remembered his happy Vitya.

He would not let his Vitya be reduced to just a pain he would ever be able to forget. Vitya was everything to him.

"I must admit, I didn’t know how to live without him... I was terrified when I lost him, because I didn’t know the first thing about being a father;

"... and was scared of fucking up our child, the only piece of Vitya I had left and the best thing that ever happened to me... Our dear boy," Sergei said like he was not talking to the woman whom he was going to murder after this.

"Mr. Mosk—"

"Hush now, doctor. You asked about my Solnyshka and my dusha. Focus; you will need this information corrected in your head by me, so you don’t get it wrong.

"I don’t want you dying with rumors in your head," Sergei said, still cutting the doctor’s hair with his blade like he was suddenly a hairdresser.

"Anyway, where was I?" Sergei asked a little too calmly.

"You were talking about your... your husbands," the doctor gritted out, and Sergei chuckled softly.

"Right... anyway, in living for my dusha, I found my Solnyshka... the pretty boy with a heart of gold and the kind of humanity and love I never thought I would experience again after I lost my Vitya.

"And you’re right... My dusha and my Solnyshka would never be the same. It’s impossible to compare love, doctor. You taught me that too, but it looks like you are forgetting your sessions with me.

"I don’t know if I should be offended or if this is just proof that you fucked up my Solnyshka’s marriage with my son for fun and laughs," Sergei continued, clearly not liking the fact that there was a possibility this fraud doctor was not being realistic with him.

Sergei needed an accurate diagnosis of a woman who behaved like a whack.

He would kill her still, but two things needed to be very clear between them.

"As for marriage, that’s for my Solnyshka to decide for both of us, not me. Whatever my Solnyshka wants, I will give it... You see how beautiful his mark is on my neck?

"It’s the only reason I kept you in basement three for a year," Sergei explained like that was what the doctor needed to understand at this point in time.

Maybe he was skewed a little in the head.

But frankly, as a man running on fumes after losing Katya to the government two weeks ago, Sergei was not trying to be a noble man.

He was trying to get through the day.

Trying to be alive for when Katya came back.

Trying to hold on the only way he could.

He loved Katya so much it hurt to be separated, but he couldn’t even break the distance because Katya would hate him for it.

"Do you have any more questions about the difference between my love for my dusha and my Solnyshka? Or even my precious son?

"I don’t mind sitting here and talking about the men and people in my life who shaped me into who I am today, doctor. I really don’t...

"...after all, I need something to keep me from burning that presidential palace and risking my Solnyshka being upset with me...

"...the only question is, will you last long enough to hear me talk about them?" Sergei asked as he stabbed the doctor in the left lung with the blade, not pulling it out.

He then took out another blade from his other boot and continued their chat.

The video of the torture was bad...

So bad the government had to censor it.

But the next morning, another Sergei and doctor Belyaeva footage dropped.
