Chapter 1626: Wild Night, Part 1

  • Next Chapter

The vast city of Hydefield, under the night sky, stretches out with lights as brilliant as the stars, boundless and endless.

The most distinguished and powerful group of young individuals in the Feiyang Republic stood between the starry sky and the lights, watching a man and two women step down from the silver Phantom flying car.

There were no glamorous lights, no flashes as bright as daylight, no cheers, nor clouds moving swiftly across the skies, everything seemed so ordinary.

Two exceptionally beautiful women clung to the man like birds nestled against someone.

The man lacked a golden helm, bright armor, a white horse, or a black robe, nor did he have a jade-like face, star-like eyes, or a seven-colored cloud beneath his feet.

He looked just like a Fatty who had just woken up from a nap, staring at you with a dazed expression. His appearance had nothing at all worth noting. Yet, at the onset of this destined-to-be magnificent night, the most stunning thing was the first thing Fatty said.

Who is this lunatic?

His expression was confused, with his mouth half-open, looking like a monk who couldn’t grasp the situation. His demeanor seemed to suggest he wanted to shove Miller straight into an ambulance to get him away.

With a burst of laughter, Jillian was the first to laugh. The tall and voluptuous woman laughed so much that she held onto McCarthy’s shoulder, clutching her stomach as she kept sighing.

David and the others couldn’t help but chuckle.

It felt like Miller was a man putting in all his efforts, finally using sweet words to undress a woman, and just at the critical moment of entering the harbor, a silly Fatty suddenly appeared, curiously poking his pale butt with a stick.

“His name is Miller,” completely ignoring Miller’s venomous stare, Margaret gave a subtle look to a few familiar friends before affectionately leaning on Fatty’s arm, her alluringly curved mouth delivering a sweetly malicious voice, “…..he is an eunuch.”

“Have they arrived?”

Hastings sat in a wheelchair, a blanket covering his legs, his eyes seemingly closed yet open.

On the terrace under the starry sky, it was quiet and peaceful.

Old Fari sat beside Hastings, brewing tea with skilled hands while smiling, “Yes!”

“I heard Miller’s grandson is also going.” Hastings took the tea Old Fari handed over.

Old Fari nodded, his response still simple and direct, “Yes, he went.”

“Very good.” Hastings blew the steaming heat from the teacup and said calmly, “At least that lawless fellow doesn’t need an excuse to provoke conflict now.”

Old Fari placed the teapot back on the heating base, pondered for a moment, and finally asked, “Starting a dispute just two days after you returned, is General Tian too hasty with this?”

“He lacks a sense of order and rules, and doesn’t have much patience.” Hastings held the teacup, looking at the distant woods blurred in the night, “Yet these are his advantages. Perhaps, we have been too cautious before, with too much patience.”

Old Fari smiled wryly, “Actually, we could slowly divide them. The presidential election is about ten days away, I always feel that it’s too hurried to take action now.”

“We are rushed, our enemies also feel rushed. If not for needing my opinion, that guy would have erupted upon seeing Bernadotte.” Hastings said indifferently.

The elder sipped tea, holding the cup on his lap, “He is the most naturally gifted in military ability that I have ever encountered. He is an eccentric, never formally trained, lacking theoretical accumulation. Yet his instincts on the battlefield are stronger than anyone’s!”

“Instinct?” Old Fari asked in surprise.

“Yes, instinct. A survival instinct.” Hastings nodded, “When he finds the most opportune moment, he acts without hesitation.”

“So, now is the time?” Old Fari furrowed his brow slightly, “But the current situation in Feiyang doesn’t favor us. If the major families go all out, the entire Feiyang will be torn apart.”

Hastings said, “I used to worry about this too, but after looking into that guy’s background and calling Professor Boswell, do you think he has the same concerns?”

“Just based on his new Space Jump Point Technology…” Old Fari sighed, “I suddenly feel that Fatty has remarkable patience.”

“I don’t know what treasure this little rascal is holding back inside!” Hastings said, unusually with a bit of anger, “I gave him a fleet and three Armored Divisions, along with you and Hei Ge, and even Margaret and the entire Hastings family, and he only reveals a bit of his cards!”

“Haha!” Old Fari laughed.

“I really want to see this world outside the cage with my own eyes,” Hastings looked up, a trace of a smile on his lips, “If I live to see that day, you accompany me for a walk.”

“I will.” Old Fari looked deeply at the old man he had followed for thirty years, sincerely said.

“Fatty is doing right, starting with young people. Let them see the stick, taste the date, to cleanly and swiftly resolve this chaotic situation…” Hastings closed his eyes, “…call Hei Ge, tell him my granddaughter and grandson-in-law are the lifeline of this family. …..I don’t care who they want dead, but if anyone dares to retaliate, break all his bones for me!”
