Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!

Chapter 869: Could This Be Another Twisted Version of Something?

  • Next Chapter

Seeing the conversation veer off course, Sir Aiwen, whose mind was as clear as a mirror, coughed to break the strange atmosphere and mused, “Let’s talk about this another time. We’ve made progress on the summoning incantation. From last night until now, based on the feedback I’ve received, creatures from at least fifteen worlds have successfully come into contact with the medium bearing the incantation that I distributed. As long as we handle the next steps properly, the Summoning Ritual in two days should go off without any major problems.”

The Godweaver Head narrowed her eyes, her voice dripping with malice. “So, about this matter, do we really not need to tell him?”

Sir Aiwen shook his head gravely. “We’ll talk about it once everything’s arranged. Otherwise, if he finds out that his ‘perverted lolicon’ reputation has spread to worlds everywhere, he might really lose it. Then things could get out of hand.”

The Roots nodded.

They still had plenty of disagreements.

But at least on this matter, they could see eye to eye.

After all, compared to being branded a “perverted lolicon,” making sure he could safely avoid the Gaze from hell two days from now was the real priority!

Compared with his life, what did this little blow to his reputation matter?

……

And in the midst of the several Roots,

Lynn stood there with a bewildered “(O_O)?” on his face, watching the Roots exchange glances without saying a word. He was completely baffled.

So.

Why did something feel a little off?

Why did he keep feeling as though his family members were secretly plotting something absolutely vile behind his back?

More importantly,

starting last night, he had been hearing System notifications from time to time that made no sense to him.

【Ding! Your fame in ??? has increased by 1】

Like these.

But he still couldn’t figure out where they were coming from. By all rights, he wasn’t even running his shop anymore, so why was his fame still shooting up?

He didn’t know why this had suddenly crossed his mind, but he just felt that something wasn’t right.

The next moment,

the four Roots seemed to snap back to their senses at the same time, their gazes landing on Lynn in unison. The Titan Head burst into hearty laughter and extended a massive tentacle to pat Lynn on the shoulder. Baring his enormous, sharp teeth, he said, “We’re all family. If there’s anything you want Big Brother to help with, just say so. No need to be shy. After all, you only have our daughter in your heart, don’t you, my dear son-in-law? Hahahahahaha!”

Lynn’s laughter sent a chill down his spine.

But Lynn wasn’t an ordinary person. “That’s right! That’s right! Otherwise, how could you be my most revered Father-in-law? Let’s set that matter aside for now. Since everyone’s willing to help little Lynn with this small favor, I really must ask for your help!”

Without giving his Big Brother Titan a chance to change the subject,

Lynn swiftly fished the fragments of his Cursed Eye out of his System Space, adjusted his Monocle, and explained earnestly, “Here’s the situation. I recently acquired a new ability. It lets me quickly repair and synthesize an object without needing to understand its internal structure. But the success rate of the repair depends greatly on the energy level of the Strength I use. If it’s too low, there’s still a small chance of success, but the thing I repair can easily turn into some strange, twisted version!”

“So, if I want to guarantee a successful repair, I’ll have to ask everyone for help today!”

Lynn placed his few fragments on the ground.

Sir Aiwen and the others looked at one another, then turned to him thoughtfully and asked, “What’s this ability you mentioned?”

Lynn smiled faintly, adjusted his Monocle, and replied earnestly, “There’s no harm in telling everyone. I call it ‘God’s Equation.’ Like ‘Echoes of the Past’ and ‘Curse Purge,’ it’s a powerful ability unique to me. That might not make it easy to understand, so how about this? Give me something you’d like repaired, and I’ll demonstrate. Then you’ll see.”

Sir Aiwen glanced at the Titan couple and the Colossus’s Brain. Knowing they had nothing to offer, he carefully took a small mechanical device from his chest.

He fiddled with the device for a while,

then handed it to Lynn.

With a smile, he said, “Let’s use this, then. I made it years ago using our Cyber psychic technology. It’s a special surveillance device. Once you inject Psychic Energy and enter a few key search terms, it can display images of relevant people within a certain area. I used it to gather intelligence back in the day, but it was too easy to detect, and then it developed a fault, so I put it away.”

Of course, he could tell at a glance that Lynn clearly wasn’t entirely confident in his ability.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked for a demonstration.

Lynn took the device and asked cautiously, “Big Brother Aiwen, are you sure you won’t need this device anymore? My ability is powerful, but there’s also a high chance I’ll break something. If it’s too valuable…”

Sir Aiwen laughed helplessly. “I said to try it, so just try it. Why all the questions? It’s obviously not anything valuable.”

Lynn nodded.

He took the device.

His expression immediately turned serious.

Then he thrust out his hand. Golden light appeared between his fingers in an instant as he activated 【God’s Equation】 and pressed it toward the device.

Since Big Brother Aiwen had put it that way, Lynn had no reason to hesitate.

He only hoped he’d get off to a good start this time. If he could repair an unfamiliar device without relying on the power of the Roots, that would mean his luck was exceptionally good today, and Lady Luck was smiling on him. In that case, his odds of repairing the Cursed Eye should be higher too!

Now then!

The moment to witness a miracle had arrived!

“God’s Equation, activate!”

He shouted.

In an instant, dazzling golden light engulfed the little mechanical device, illuminating the darkness across the entire Plaza.

Voom!

【Ding! Congratulations! You have repaired the “Field of View Surveyor.” God’s Equation proficiency +1】

【Ding! Congratulations! You have obtained “Field of View Surveyor (Modified).”】

Lynn’s mind went completely blank.

Clatter.

The little mechanical device dropped into his hand. As the golden light faded, it looked brand-new.

But judging by the System’s notification…

This didn’t look like the kind of notification you’d get for a successful repair…

Could it be that he’d made something like his 【Arm of Dragon Breath】 again, some kind of spirit-blasting device??
