Death Draw System: Infinite Revives in the Horror Dungeon
Chapter 243: Perfect Man Ability
Long John’s expression darkened.
"Damn you, vampire!"
"You think you can simply take away the position I’ve spent my entire life working for?"
Whoosh!
With a flick of his sleeve, Long John threw out several sheets of sketch paper.
The moment the papers unfolded, three monsters identical to the Perfect Man emerged from them and charged straight at their target, swinging their fists.
But—
"Boring."
The Perfect Man didn’t even raise its hands to defend itself. It simply allowed the monsters to strike it with everything they had.
A series of muffled bangs echoed through the room.
Its body shuddered slightly, but that was all.
The three monsters suddenly exploded into splashes of ink.
"Damn lowlifes! You actually think you’re worthy? You think you deserve to demand fairness from me?"
Step! Step! Step! Step!
The Perfect Man’s three heads swayed as it advanced. Every step left a deep impression in the floor as it charged toward the group.
"Everyone! If you keep hiding, you’ll all die! Attack!"
Seeing that the situation was turning against them, Long John hurriedly shouted at Shen Yu and the others.
Shen Yu’s expression darkened. The uneasy feeling in his heart grew stronger.
"Landing Monkey!"
Chu Chanan stepped forward to block the Perfect Man.
Already transformed into a mountain ape, he suddenly lunged forward and wrapped his powerful arms around the monster, staring fiercely at it as its feet moved.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
As expected, the moment the Perfect Man’s feet should have touched the ground, the Landing Monkey’s ability ought to have accelerated its transformation into an animal.
But nothing happened.
The instant the Landing Monkey Totem activated, the three golden masks on the Perfect Man’s faces flashed.
Its feet lifted from the ground.
The monster began floating in midair, moving as though it were walking on invisible steps.
Step! Step! Step!
Walking on nothing but empty air, the Perfect Man grabbed Chu Chanan’s head with two hands and pulled violently.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The sound of breaking neck bones echoed through the room.
Yet Chu Chanan continued holding on to the Perfect Man. Even with his neck broken, he refused to let go, staring at the monster with a vicious expression.
"You can’t kill me! Now it’s your turn to suffer!"
Damage Transfer!
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The same sound that had come from Chu Chanan’s neck now erupted from the Perfect Man’s neck.
Its three heads trembled, clearly registering the damage.
But after the golden masks flashed again, the Perfect Man released Chu Chanan’s head, seized him with all six arms, and hurled him away.
Boom!
Chu Chanan flew across the room and smashed into the distant glass wall.
The glass shattered, forming a human-shaped crater.
Fortunately, he wasn’t thrown out of the high-rise. Instead, his body became lodged in the twisted layers of shattered glass, clinging to the wall like a piece of stubborn plaster.
"Cough! Cough! Cough!"
Chu Chanan coughed violently.
His spine was broken, and his face had turned deathly pale.
Even so, he still wanted to use Damage Transfer again.
However, the Perfect Man seemed to understand how his ability worked. It deliberately kept its distance from him before charging toward Shen Yu and the others once more.
"Vice Captain, something’s wrong! Something is seriously wrong!"
Chu Chanan struggled to speak.
"This guy seems to know the details of our abilities! There’s something strange about him!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Although the Perfect Man was floating through the air, every step it took still caused the red carpet beneath it to sink.
Perhaps it was an illusion, but despite having three enormous heads, the Perfect Man didn’t seem particularly interested in Long John, the mastermind behind the rebellion.
Instead, its gazes repeatedly drifted toward Shen Yu and Wen Lan.
Then, as if it had finally made its decision, it completely ignored everyone else and charged straight toward the Fox and Wolf factions.
Long John noticed the scene immediately.
"I knew it! I knew it!"
His eyes widened with excitement.
"Our previous attempt failed because we were missing the Fox and Wolf factions! But this time... this time, it will work!"
"Everyone, attack together!"
Long John shouted with wild enthusiasm, throwing out three more sheets of sketch paper.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three monsters materialized and blocked the Perfect Man’s path.
At the same time, the others began launching their attacks.
Blood to Egg!
The snake scales covering Ning Xu’s skin tightened.
As he focused on the bloodstains left by Chu Chanan, an invisible force immediately locked onto the Perfect Man.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
In an instant, delicate white cysts began swelling across the monster’s three heads.
They expanded until each was roughly the size of a pigeon’s egg.
Then they stopped growing.
A faint hum came from the golden masks covering the Perfect Man’s faces, and the cysts created by Blood to Egg froze completely in place.
"Damn it! Damn it! Why isn’t it working on him?"
Ning Xu continued exerting his power, but the snake scales covering his body gradually faded.
His mutation energy was being consumed at an alarming rate.
Sound Movement!
Yaning made her move as well.
The emblem on her body trembled as she fixed her gaze on the Perfect Man and deliberately slowed her movements.
"Die."
It took her five full seconds to utter that single word.
She believed that the Perfect Man would be forced to follow her rhythm, regardless of how powerful it was. Surely, it wouldn’t be able to resist the effects of her ability indefinitely?
But this time, the monster completely ignored her.
It continued charging straight toward Shen Yu and Wen Lan.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The three monsters blocking its path were instantly crushed into pieces.
"You actually ignored me?"
Yaning’s face lit up with wild excitement.
Her target hadn’t entered her rhythm at all.
Yet she could feel a warm force swelling inside her body.
Then, her body began inflating like a balloon.
In just a few seconds, Yaning had transformed into a giant more than three meters tall.
"Stop!"
Her enormous body towered over the Perfect Man.
She swung a gigantic fist at the monster.
The fist, initially about the size of a bowling ball, continued expanding as it traveled through the air.
By the time it reached its target, it had grown as large as a yoga ball.
Boom!
The punch struck the Perfect Man directly in the face.
Its forward momentum finally stopped in midair.
The force of the blow reverberated through its body, shaking the entire floor.
Thud!
Pinned beneath the enormous fist, the Perfect Man’s movements became momentarily stiff.
Yet its body remained completely unharmed.
It was as though it were made of steel, capable of withstanding the devastating punch without suffering the slightest damage.
"Get out of my way!"
The Perfect Man raised its gaze toward the giant Yaning, who was bent over beneath the ninth-floor ceiling.
There wasn’t a trace of fear in its eyes.
Instead, it raised all six arms and seized Yaning’s enormous hand.
Crack! Crack!
What happened next was visually shocking.
Those comparatively small arms began twisting and deforming Yaning’s gigantic hand, which resembled an elephant’s foot.
"You... you monster!"
Frost!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
A sudden wave of freezing energy surged from Yaning’s body.
Her skin instantly froze, and her enormous figure became a towering pillar of ice surrounded by swirling snow and freezing winds.
She had completely encased herself in ice.
Whoosh!
The temperature plunged.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
A layer of ice spread across the Perfect Man’s body, while the entire ninth floor seemed to plunge into winter.
Cold winds swept through the room, and thick blocks of ice formed beneath their feet.
For the first time, the Perfect Man looked at Yaning with genuine interest.
"Oh? Has a quantitative change finally led to a qualitative one?"
It tilted its head.
"Your ability wasn’t this exaggerated before. Is this the result of the Rat Totem’s growth? Has your freezing power become stronger?"
"D-die!"
The ice and snow surrounding Yaning grew thicker.
Her body continued expanding, releasing an even more violent blizzard as she attempted to freeze the Perfect Man completely.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
But the monster’s unreasonable strength erupted once more.
Its golden masks reflected the cold light as it twisted its neck slightly.
The ice covering its body shattered and fell away in enormous, heavy chunks.
"Damn it! Hurry! Hurry!"
Yaning knew perfectly well that she couldn’t defeat the Perfect Man alone.
Her enormous head turned toward the remaining fighters.
"The Rat’s power is running out!"
"Good! This is our chance!"
Long John once again took out a sheet of sketch paper.
This time, he didn’t draw a monster.
Instead, he roughly sketched swirling winds and falling snow before throwing the paper toward the advancing Perfect Man.
Suddenly, hail began falling inside the ninth-floor office.
Yet the Perfect Man didn’t stop moving.
Crack! Crack!
Its body continued producing snapping sounds as it shook off the remaining ice.
"Do it! I’ll kill him! Kill him!"
Lin Yao’s face grew increasingly canine, and the words echoed repeatedly inside her mind.
Kill him! Kill him!
Her eyes remained fixed on the Perfect Man.
Wriggle! Wriggle!
Dog teeth began emerging from the monster’s chest.
"Ha!"
The Perfect Man laughed at the stubborn group of rebels.
"You foolish creatures who insist on resisting!"
It looked around at them with contempt.
"I admit that compared with the previous rebels, you’re considerably stronger."
Its three heads grinned simultaneously.
"What a pity!"
"Lowly creatures will always remain lowly!"
