Holding Huan high in the air, the Perfect Man opened its mouth wide and continuously sucked in the fresh blood spraying from his wound.

Blood splattered across the dining table.

Every animal witnessing the scene felt a chill run down its spine.

Rebellion?

Would anyone really dare to rebel against the Perfect Man?

"Master! Master!"

At the corner of the table, Lin Yao, who had also transformed into a dog-headed figure, clearly hadn’t expected things to turn out this way.

Without thinking, she rushed toward the Perfect Man.

Roar!

The enormous tiger slowly arched its body, preparing to attack.

Seeing this, Long John also reached into his clothes, ready to make his move.

"Awoo! Awoo!"

Struggling in the Perfect Man’s grip, Huan began biting its arms.

He howled desperately.

Strangely, the Perfect Man didn’t scream when Huan bit it. Instead, it covered its ears with its other arms, allowing Huan to scream and bite as much as he wanted.

Thud!

Perhaps because of the pain, or perhaps because it had lost interest, the Perfect Man finally released Huan.

Huan immediately leaped away and ran toward the elevator without looking back.

Ding-dong!

He frantically pressed the button, desperately trying to close the elevator doors.

Unfortunately, he was too slow.

"Hehehehe..."

"Hehehehehe..."

The Perfect Man’s mocking laughter rang out behind him.

"You’re worthless now. Why are you still struggling against your inevitable death?

"I’ve told you before, you high-level managers are all equally boring. Lowly creatures will always remain lowly.

"Did you really think you could define me?"

The Perfect Man quickly caught up with Huan. One of its enormous arms shot into the elevator and forcibly held the doors open before they could close.

"Awoo! Awoo!"

Huan screamed desperately.

But the power of the Dog Totem was useless against the Perfect Man.

"Little brat, how many times must I tell you? Don’t try to cross the class divide. You’ll always be my slave!"

Thud!

Two arms reached forward, and this time, the Perfect Man seized Huan’s head in a crushing grip.

Crack!

The sound of breaking bones echoed through the elevator entrance.

Blood poured from Huan’s eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.

"Ah... ah..."

His consciousness slowly faded. Even as a dog, he whimpered with a strangely human voice.

I was tired of this on the very first day.

Damn it!

Damn it all!

Do you really think you can oppress me forever?

Pa!

Huan spat a mouthful of blood directly onto the Perfect Man’s face.

The Perfect Man ignored him.

Its three complete faces and one half-formed face stretched open, revealing rows of sharp, wriggling teeth. It looked almost as though the monster were smiling.

"Hehehehe..."

The pressure of its hands increased.

"Master! Master!"

Lin Yao had already rushed over.

Through Huan’s dimming dog eyes, he looked at Lin Yao. An inexplicable sense of relief crossed his face.

The Wolf Faction... the Wolf Faction mustn’t fall here.

The lowly must stand together. We must unite!

"Lin Yao... I... I’m proud of you."

His dog tail, the only part of his body he could still move, suddenly pressed the button for the ninth floor.

At the same moment, Lin Yao leaped into the elevator.

The ninth-floor button lit up.

There were only two ways to unlock access to the ninth floor.

The first was for the Perfect Man, the company’s highest authority, to enter the elevator. With it inside, every floor would naturally become accessible.

The second required the combined power of all twelve managerial positions.

And now, Huan was exploiting the company’s original mechanism by using the Perfect Man’s presence inside the elevator to unlock the ninth floor.

Ding-dong!

The elevator is ascending.

Boom!

The elevator doors slowly began to close.

Under Lin Yao’s helpless gaze, Huan allowed the Perfect Man to crush his head until it became horribly deformed.

Yet, in his final moments, he still managed to give her a smile.

"Master... Master..."

Lin Yao’s anguished cries echoed throughout the eighth floor.

She repeatedly slammed her hands against the elevator doors, desperately trying to return to him.

The other animals watched in silence, their faces filled with pity and despair.

Some felt a sorrowful kinship with the Rabbit and Fox factions, knowing all too well what it meant to be powerless before the Perfect Man.

The Wolf Faction had always been loyal, united by deep bonds and genuine affection.

But in a company like this, what did loyalty and affection matter?

"Tsk. So, you see? In the end, everything comes down to climbing to the top."

Lin Wan slowly rose to her feet, ignoring Lin Yao’s grief. She adjusted her half-missing head before turning toward Long John.

"We, the Fox Faction, will stop at nothing to reach the top. Get ready. This is our one and only chance to overthrow the Perfect Man."

The Rabbit Man paid no attention to Lin Yao’s sorrow. The other animals remained silent.

Shen Yu stood up, and the members of the Zhou Qi Squad gathered around him, along with Wen Lan, Long Lingxue, and the corpse puppet Yin Chang.

Everyone stared solemnly at the elevator.

Ding-dong!

The ninth floor has arrived.

At the same time, Huan’s consciousness was gradually fading.

The elevator doors opened, revealing the highest floor of the company—a place Huan had never seen before.

To his surprise, the ninth floor was nothing more than a conference hall.

A long table stood in the middle of the room, with twelve buttons arranged across its surface. They looked like a voting mechanism.

On the wall at the far end of the hall hung a painting.

It depicted twelve figures suppressing a four-legged monster with a swollen body, its entire form shrouded in black mist.

A mouse. A tiger. A rabbit. A dragon...

As Huan’s gaze swept across the twelve figures, his pupils instantly widened.

"So... so the remaining two managerial positions are..."

He stared at two towering figures in the painting.

Their enormous hands dripped with blood as they slowly carved the word two near the elevator entrance.

Unfortunately, he had realized the truth too late.

"Hehehe..."

The Perfect Man’s mocking laughter echoed through the hall.

"How? How did you discover my design?"

It leaned closer, its expression twisted with amusement.

"Your words will never leave this place."

Bang!

Huan’s deformed head exploded.

The Perfect Man looked down at the human corpse lying inside the elevator, a smile curling across its lips as the medal on Huan’s body slowly disappeared.

At some point, without even realizing it, Huan had stopped being a dog.

He had returned to human form.

And now, he was dead.

"Master! Master!"

Inside the eighth-floor banquet hall, Lin Yao was still desperately pressing the elevator buttons.

Finally, with a ding-dong, the elevator began descending, and its doors opened.

Lin Yao rushed inside.

But there was no trace of Huan.

Not even a single drop of blood remained from the moment the Perfect Man had crushed his head.

"Master! Master! Where are you? Master!"

Lin Yao screamed frantically inside the elevator, her eyes darting toward the control panel.

The ninth-floor button was dark again.

"You people! Hurry up! Weren’t you planning to overthrow the Perfect Man? Come on! Let’s go upstairs! We’ll go up there and overthrow him!"

Her voice trembled with grief and fury.

"Is Master on the top floor? Is that where he is?"

Unlike Lin Wan, who had grown cold and ruthless within the Fox Faction, Lin Yao now resembled a daughter who had lost her father.

She was overwhelmed by sorrow and anger, desperate to find him.

"Hurry up! Get in here!"

Despite her hysterical cries, the others remained motionless for a moment.

Then the giant tiger charged toward the elevator.

The power of the Dog Totem was now manifesting in Lin Yao’s determination.

"Tsk. Since that guy isn’t coming down, we’ll go up and find him ourselves."

Long John stepped forward, his expression solemn.

"Everyone, I’ll say this one last time. This is our only chance. Bring out everything you’ve got. Whether we succeed or fail, we only have this one opportunity."

He entered the elevator.

"Let’s go."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

After a brief hesitation, Long John took the lead. Zhu Xian and Lin Wan followed closely behind.

Shen Yu exchanged glances with the others before entering as well.

Ding-dong!

With the assembly of the twelve managerial forces, the ninth-floor button lit up once more.

Lin Yao didn’t hesitate. She immediately pressed it, her anxious gaze fixed on the elevator doors.

The others, however, remembered Huan’s final actions and began searching for clues inside the elevator.

Everyone understood that Huan must have left something behind, either inside the elevator or on the ninth floor.

Yet, after carefully examining every corner of the elevator, they found nothing.

"Did Huan really leave nothing behind?"

Wen Lan looked tense as she turned toward Shen Yu.

He furrowed his brows, seemingly deep in thought.

If the new management replaces the old, what happens to the former managers? Do they gradually lose their powers?

Shen Yu still couldn’t fully understand the system’s underlying rules.

However, he suspected that the Rabbit and Dog positions might operate differently from the other managerial positions, whose members could advance through promotion.

Under such brutal competition, what had happened to the original Rabbit and Dog managers?

Lin Wan had previously mentioned that the former Fox Faction captain had relied on her promotion to escape the fate of having his head bitten off.

Perhaps Huan hadn’t left no clues at all.

Perhaps the clues he had left were simply impossible for them to recognize in their animal forms.

Shen Yu narrowed his eyes.

He was about to ask Ning Xu to reduce his mutation value and see whether they could enter the ninth floor in human form when—

Ding-dong!

The elevator doors suddenly opened.

The ninth floor has arrived.

Beyond the doors lay an enormous chairman’s office.

A spacious living area contained a projector, while a red carpet stretched toward a large desk at the far end of the room.

The Perfect Man lounged in the chairman’s chair, its legs crossed as though it were the undisputed ruler of the world.

Behind it, where a glass wall should have been, hung a massive painting.

The painting was rather peculiar.

It depicted a tall vampire dressed in a black tailcoat. Its face was pale and bald, while sharp fangs protruded from its mouth and claws extended from its fingers.

Beneath the vampire knelt fourteen tiny figures, seemingly worshipping it.

"Oh? You actually came back?"

The Perfect Man tilted its head.

"What happened? Didn’t you enjoy yourselves enough at the banquet earlier? Have you come back for seconds?"

Its head twitched.

Two cysts on its neck suddenly burst, and two new heads emerged from either side.

The moment all three heads lifted to look at Shen Yu and the others, two additional pairs of arms erupted from beneath its armpits.

Three heads.

Six arms.

In this monstrous form, the Perfect Man slowly rose to its feet and stared at the newcomers.

The enormous office immediately fell into dead silence.

"Damn it! Damn it all!"

Lin Yao’s eyes turned bloodshot as she glared fiercely at the Perfect Man.

"We’ve worked ourselves to the bone for this company! We’ve helped it grow while you sit back and enjoy everything we’ve earned!"

Her voice shook with rage.

"But where is my master? Where are the members of the Wolf Faction?"

Pa!

"Lowly creature."

The Perfect Man barely spared Lin Yao a glance, showing no interest in her grief.

One of its heads slowly turned toward Long John.

"It’s you, isn’t it? The old employee."

Its lips curled into a sinister smile.

"Haven’t you been dissatisfied with me for a long time? Are you the one who’s been persuading these idiots to rebel?"

It chuckled.

"Fine. I’ve wanted to taste dragon meat for quite some time. It seems it’s finally time for someone to take your place."

Long John’s expression darkened.

"Damn you, vampire!"
