Bai Wanwan, however, seemed oblivious to the man’s anger. She cheerfully held up the fruit in her hand. "Why are you so insistent that we both eat one? Could it be that eating this fruit... makes you pass out?"

Upon hearing this, a panicked expression appeared on the beastman’s face.

Then Bai Wanwan let out a PFFT of laughter. "Just kidding! Look how scared you are!"

The panic on the beastman’s face subsided, replaced by a pained smile.

Bai Wanwan brought a fruit to her lips.

The beastman’s eyes widened as he urged her on in his mind: ’Eat it! Eat it!’

"Oh! We should go save your female first. I’ll share the fruit with everyone when we get back."

The beastman’s heart sank, then soared, then sank again.

He ground his teeth. "Just eat it. And share some with her. I have plenty more, I’ll give them all to you later."

The beastman turned and continued leading the two females toward a more secluded area.
