Chapter 167: Chapter 167: Zhu Xiu’s Warning

He knew that male was trying to trick her, yet she still dared to follow him.

He was even a little curious about what she would say next.

"Young Clan Leader, about our deal..."

The Bear Beastman opposite Jin Yi noticed he seemed distracted and couldn’t help but call out to him.

Jin Yi turned back, his handsome face impassive, giving off an air of noble detachment.

"Where is the stone? I need to confirm that it is an Energy Stone."

The Bear Beastman quickly replied, "It’s on me. I’ll get it out for you right now."

With that, he fished a jet-black stone out of the animal hide pouch he carried, carefully cupping it in his hands as he presented it to Jin Yi.

"Young Clan Leader, I’ve heard this kind of stone can enhance a male’s Talent Power. It’s extremely precious."

A faint, mocking smile touched Jin Yi’s lips. "If it can enhance Talent Power, why wouldn’t you use it yourself instead of trying to trade it with me?"

The Bear Beastman gave an awkward laugh and decided to come clean.

"It’s because Energy Stones can’t be absorbed by just anyone. But you’re the Young Clan Leader of the Golden Lion Tribe; you must have a way to absorb it. If I give you the Energy Stone and I get a large amount of supplies in return, it benefits us both."

Jin Yi fixed his pale gold eyes on the black stone in the beastman’s hands and ordered the male beside him, "Go inspect it."

This male was older, his face already lined with wrinkles.

He walked over to the Bear Beastman, took the Energy Stone from his hands, and examined it closely.

After a long and careful inspection, he finally confirmed, "Young Clan Leader, this is indeed identical to the Energy Stones I’ve seen before. It should be authentic."

Hearing that the Energy Stone was real, the Bear Beastman’s face lit up with glee. "I told you it couldn’t be a fake! I’m trading the Energy Stone to you, so where are the goods you promised me?"

Jin Yi had someone take the Energy Stone and then ordered the other males with him.

"Give him the supplies he asked for."

Crate after crate of supplies was brought before the Bear Beastman, who was overjoyed.

"Next time I get another Energy Stone, I’ll be sure to find you again for a trade, Young Clan Leader."

After concluding the trade, Jin Yi thought of the female from earlier. He clasped his hands behind his back and slowly turned around.

Only then did he discover that the young female was now surrounded by several handsome males with incredibly powerful auras.

He was somewhat surprised.

The aura exuded by a male with a High Rank Talent was different from that of an ordinary male.

He could tell at a glance that all of those males possessed extraordinary Talent Power.

Yan Lie, in a blind rage, stomped the male who had tried to lure Bai Wanwan and Shi Hua away, pinning him to the ground.

"How dare you try to deceive my female!"

His usually sunny face was now dark with fury.

It was the first time even Bai Wanwan had seen Yan Lie like this. Only now did it truly sink in that he was a male with a High Rank Talent.

She had been so deceived by his usual expression that she’d thought he was completely harmless.

The male struggled, but the force pressing down on him felt like a mountain. He couldn’t move at all.

"I was wrong, I was wrong... I only did it because I have to take care of a sick female. I didn’t mean to deceive them, please spare me."

Even now, he was still trying to use the same sob story he used on females to gain their sympathy.

Even Xin Feng couldn’t hold back, questioning him in a cold voice, "Spare you? So you can go on and deceive more females?"

"Kill him," Zhu Xiu said succinctly.

"Let me!"

Mu Feng rushed over and yanked the male beastman out from under Yan Lie’s foot.

The male beastman’s already ugly face was now covered in injuries. His teeth had been knocked out, and the corners of his mouth were split so badly he couldn’t close it.

Yan Lie moved his leg, letting Mu Feng take over. He had already spent a while beating the man himself; now it was Mu Feng’s turn to vent his anger, so he didn’t interfere.

Mu Feng sent the male flying with a single punch, then chased after him to continue the beating.

But in mid-air, the male transformed into a wild boar, turned, and fled.

"Trying to run?"

Mu Feng also transformed into a Black Dog, swiftly giving chase and sinking his teeth into the back of the wild boar’s neck.

In terms of species, Black Dogs were actually no match for wild boars.

But Mu Feng was one of the top Green Rank Talents in the Black Dog Tribe.

He refused to grant the Boar Beastman an easy death, choosing instead to kill him slowly and cruelly.

After mauling the boar’s body beyond recognition, he finally tore out its throat with a single bite.

The wild boar lay on the ground, twitching, struggling to get up. Eventually, it fell still and silent.

Shi Hua was terrified. She turned her head, unable to watch.

Bai Wanwan, however, watched the entire spectacle as if it were nothing.

Bai Wanwan patted the hand Shi Hua was using to clutch at her. "You see now? The world outside the tribes is cruel."

Shi Hua’s face was pale as she nodded repeatedly.

Seeing Shi Hua’s pitiful expression, Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for her.

But if she didn’t use this opportunity to teach her a lesson, the consequences of being deceived next time would be far worse than a simple scare.

So she pressed on, "If that male had succeeded in luring you away today, you would never have seen Mu Feng again. Instead, a pack of old, ugly, and crippled males would have forced you to accept them as your Beast Husbands. If you resisted, they would have beaten you..."

With every word, Shi Hua’s face grew another shade paler.

Bai Wanwan felt she had made a lasting impression and began to conclude, "Next time a male asks you to go somewhere alone with him... no, you have to be careful even with females. If anything comes up, deal with it in front of everyone, or somewhere you’re familiar with. In short, you have to learn to be more vigilant."

Shi Hua now understood the cruelty of the outside world. "Sister Wanwan, I’ll remember. I’ll be careful from now on."

"Come on, let’s go back to the market..."

None of them spared another glance for the lifeless wild boar on the ground.

Shi Hua was shaken and no longer felt like wandering around outside. She couldn’t help but ask her Beast Husband.

"Mu Feng, how far are we from the Golden Lion Tribe?"

"If I carry you, we can be there in two or three days. If you walk on your own, it could take five or six."

Bai Wanwan studied her expression. "Are you feeling unwell? Do you want to get to the Golden Lion Tribe sooner?"

Fearing they would misunderstand, Shi Hua quickly shook her head. "I’m not unwell. I just feel it’s too dangerous out here, so I wanted to ask how much farther we have to go."

’The world outside is truly terrifying. A living male can lose his life in the blink of an eye. Even though he brought it upon himself, it still feels so much safer inside a tribe.’

Jin Yi overheard their conversation. When he learned their destination was the Golden Lion Tribe, a look of surprise crossed his handsome features.

He turned to the male beside him and ordered, "Hu Lu, those males are formidable. Their reason for heading to the Golden Lion Tribe is unknown. When we get back, keep a close eye on them."

"Yes, Young Clan Leader," Hu Lu immediately replied.

Just as Jin Yi finished giving his orders and was about to lead his party away, one of the males standing beside the female seemed to sense something. He abruptly looked up, his gaze locking directly onto Jin Yi’s position.

Their gazes met mid-air. Even from such a great distance, Jin Yi could feel the cold, sharp warning in the other’s eyes, like the point of an unsheathed blade aimed straight at him.

However, Jin Yi did not flinch. Instead, the corners of his lips curved upward into a faint, nonchalant smile, utterly composed.
