He stopped himself just in time, letting go and leaning down to look at her.

His fingers gently brushed her swollen lips. "I’ll let you off the hook for today. Remember what you just said."

Zhu Xiu’s restless heart had been calmed by the kiss she had initiated, but the desire in his eyes had not completely faded.

"Okay, you should go back and rest too."

Zhu Xiu looked at her lovely, flushed face, took a deep breath to suppress the impulse in his heart, and stood up straight.

If he stayed any longer, he was afraid his possessiveness would take over and he would whisk her away against her will.

Watching his retreating figure, Bai Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief. ’Thank goodness Zhu Xiu isn’t angry. I barely passed that test.’

Outside the door, Yan Lie had already paced back and forth countless times.

The moment he saw Zhu Xiu come out, he immediately slipped into Xin Feng’s room. He walked over to Bai Wanwan’s bedside in a few steps and sat down, his eyes filled with concern.

"Wanwan, are you not feeling well? Why did you lie down as soon as you got back?"

Bai Wanwan gave a light cough. "COUGH... Mm, I’m a little tired."

Hearing this, Yan Lie immediately leaned closer and asked tentatively, "Should I give you a massage, then? A good rub will make you feel better."

Bai Wanwan grabbed his hand. "No massage needed. I’ll be fine after a little sleep. It’s getting late, you should go to sleep too."

But Yan Lie didn’t move. He stared at her with a burning gaze, his eyes full of expectation. "Does that mean you’ll be sleeping in my room in a couple of days?"

Bai Wanwan froze for a moment, her mind racing.

’I promised Xin Feng tonight, and I promised Zhu Xiu tomorrow night. If I want to be fair to everyone, it really should be Yan Lie’s turn.’

Yan Lie was her Beast Husband too. She couldn’t favor one over the other.

So, she agreed in a gentle voice, "Okay."

Yan Lie’s grin instantly stretched from ear to ear. His face lit up with a brilliant smile, and his voice was full of joy. "Wanwan, you’re the best!"

Seeing him like this, Bai Wanwan felt a mix of exasperation and tenderness.

’This leopard is too easy to please. Give him a little treat and he’ll be happy for ages.’

She sat up, opened her arms to him, and said gently, "Come here."

Yan Lie immediately wrapped his arms around her tightly, burying his head in her neck and taking a deep sniff. His voice was muffled. "I wish I could hold you like this forever."

Bai Wanwan gently patted his back, her tone soothing. "You can hold me in a few days. For now, it’s time to go back to sleep."

But Yan Lie was reluctant to let go. He clung to her, refusing to move, his voice tinged with a playful whine. "I want to hold you a little longer."

Bai Wanwan’s heart softened, so she let him hold her for a good while.

Yan Lie loved the scent of his female. It was like flowers, and also like fruit; he could never get enough of it.

His little female’s body was also delicate and soft. She was a soft bundle in his arms, and he couldn’t bear to let her go.

Bai Wanwan let him hold her for a long time. It was only when she saw Xin Feng come in with a basin of water over his shoulder that she patted him, signaling for him to let go.

Yan Lie heard the movement and reluctantly released his hold.

His gaze lingered on Bai Wanwan’s face as he spoke, still unwilling. "I’ll... I’ll head out then..."

"Mm, sleep well. See you tomorrow." Bai Wanwan gave him a smile.

Seeing his female smile at him, Yan Lie grinned back. He finally left the room, looking back every few steps.

Xin Feng’s expression was as gentle and calm as ever. After wringing out a soft cotton cloth, he sat down where Yan Lie had just been.

He cupped Bai Wanwan’s face and began to wipe it with a gentle touch.

Bai Wanwan closed her eyes, the corners of her mouth turning up as she enjoyed his care.

"I’ll go wipe myself down."

Taking the cloth, Bai Wanwan quickly got out of bed.

Xin Feng had intended to let her rest well, but when he turned around, he saw her pulling off her dress, revealing skin as fair as jade.

The curves of her body were graceful and alluring, easily igniting a fire in his calm eyes.

Bai Wanwan had just finished washing up and was reaching for a nearby dress to put on when a male hand suddenly slipped around her waist. The thin calluses sent a shiver through her.

The next second, Xin Feng pulled her into his embrace with a slight tug.

Then, Xin Feng swept her up into his arms and gently placed her on the stone bed.

"I was originally going to let you get a good night’s sleep." Xin Feng’s voice was a little hoarse, his breathing noticeably quicker.

Bai Wanwan looked up at him with a smile, her eyes like autumn pools, shimmering with a seductive light.

She parted her red lips and drew out her words slowly. "And... now?"

Xin Feng’s gaze instantly became predatory, like a wolf that had spotted its prey.

His hand tightened on her waist. "Now, you don’t need to sleep."

With that, a searing kiss fell upon her. An outer robe was hastily torn off and tossed aside as they tumbled into the blankets, wrapped in each other’s arms.

The heat of their skin pressed together seared their very hearts. Xin Feng let out a low groan, clutching the person in his arms tightly, leaving deep finger marks on her jade-like skin.

Bai Wanwan’s mouth was open, the sounds from her throat tuneless as she was swept into an irresistible storm.

Meanwhile, Yan Lie couldn’t sleep at all.

He lay in his bed, his mind filled with the image of Bai Wanwan’s passionate expression.

Heat rushed chaotically through his body. Suddenly, two streams of warmth gushed from his nose. He shot up, wiped his face, and smelled the thick scent of blood.

Unable to disperse the heat in his body, Yan Lie threw open his door and ran outside, trying to calm his inner turmoil with the cold wind.

In a daze, Bai Wanwan thought she heard the sound of a door opening.

Her attention wavered slightly and she whispered, "Xin Feng, someone’s..."

Xin Feng could tell it was Yan Lie making the noise. He bent down and kissed the corner of her mouth, his voice soothing. "Don’t worry about it."

Xin Feng immediately pulled Bai Wanwan’s wandering attention back to him. For the rest of the long night, she was unable to spare a thought for anything else.

It wasn’t until she was utterly exhausted that she fell into a deep sleep.

Xin Feng, however, was full of vigor. He got up to prepare hot water to wash her.

When he walked out of the stone house, he saw the main door wide open. Standing in the doorway was, surprisingly, Zhu Xiu.

"You’re not asleep?" Xin Feng was a bit surprised.

Zhu Xiu glanced back at him, his voice laced with a cold mockery directed either at Xin Feng or himself. "If you were in my shoes, could you sleep?"

Having just been satisfied, Xin Feng was in an excellent mood. He didn’t argue, simply saying gently, "Tomorrow night, Wanwan will belong to you."

He patted Zhu Xiu’s shoulder and went about his business.

Yan Lie didn’t return until the water was heated.

"You guys... why is no one asleep?"

"We’re about to."

Only Xin Feng answered him, but as soon as he did, he carried the freshly heated water back to his own room.

Bai Wanwan was truly exhausted. As Xin Feng gently washed her, she just mumbled a few responses before falling back into a deep sleep.

After cleaning her up, Xin Feng lay down beside her, pulling her soft body into his arms.

He leaned down and placed a light kiss on her forehead.
