The sun was bright, carrying with it a faint, dry heat.

Bai Wanwan fanned herself with a large leaf, creating a momentary cool breeze.

She sat next to Shi Hua, her chin propped on one hand against the stone table, her gaze lazy as she watched the busy males in the distance.

Zhu Xiu and Mu Feng had already gone up the mountain to hunt, while Yan Lie and Xin Feng were making lounge chairs according to Bai Wanwan’s instructions.

Bai Wanwan had only described it twice before the males quickly grasped her meaning. They had just finished the first one.

It looked a little different from the lounge chairs in her memory, but as long as she could lie down on it, it was good enough. She wasn’t asking for much.

The cubs ran around their feet, chasing each other playfully. Even the little snake cub could now hop and skip along behind his older brothers.

A blissful smile spread across Shi Hua’s face. She gently stroked her already swelling belly, her voice soft. "I don’t feel sick, just a little sleepy. Sister, do you think I could also have five this time?"

Bai Wanwan had already asked the system—Shi Hua only had two cubs in her belly.

Yan Lie came back out a moment later, carrying a bowl of fresh fruit that he placed on the stone table in front of Bai Wanwan and Shi Hua.

"I’ll grill some meat strips for you later..."

Fanning herself with the leaf, Bai Wanwan smiled brightly. "Alright. You go on and get back to work. Don’t worry about us."

Before Yan Lie went inside, he also brought the cubs into the house.

The two males going inside did nothing to dampen the females’ enthusiasm. They continued to linger nearby.
